Local News: BMW driver caught going out at night; She’s supposed to be on house arrest

Most of you recall Aimee Michael, the young woman who murdered 5 people — including 3 children — on Easter Sunday, then tried to fix her BMW? Well, she was released on house arrest and now the District Attorney, Paul Howard, is trying to get her bond revoked for going out at night.

From AJC:

“Citizens complained to us that she was not at home,” Howard told WSB. “She should not be on bond.”

Howard said he was stunned when he contacted the monitoring company that is tracking Michael’s house arrest.

“We discovered that they did not have a number to call to report if she was really missing,” he said.

Michael, 22, has confessed that she was driving the champagne-colored BMW that set off a chain-reaction crash April 12 that killed four people in one car and a 6-year-old girl in another, authorities said.

Her ass should still be in jail. What part of ‘murdered five people’ didn’t the judge understand when he put Michael on house arrest? I thought it was the court’s duty to protect the citizens from people like Michael, who obviously has total disregard for the law?

I’m glad I don’t live anywhere near the Camp Creek area.

She should not be out on bail, period!! If she hadn’t tried to cover it up it would be a different story. Those poor children life means more than that.

She MUST be rich cause Ray from the hood would be under the jail…

As dispicable as I find her to be I think it is fair she recieved a bail. The system has innocent untill proven guilty, she has not been convicted yet and is not a flight risk. We need those rules in order for fair treatment for all.

    iscream says:

@ Wiggy a part of me feels that way as well. But then I think of the wedding photo of that beautiful family she took.

    Not to mention

She did a hit and run. Tried to cover her tracks and only got arrested because one of her neighbors snitched on her. No remorse, no justice, no peace and damn sure no bail.

i wanna hear what she has to say for herself also. if her neighbor wouldnt have turned her in she would have had a fixed BMW and out on the town everynight. its like she doesnt care that she has taken innocent lives.

I honestly could not live with myself it I did this, let alone trying to sneak out and (party probably). It does seem like she has no regard for life and what she did is childs play.

Stallworths case is kind of different. The family accepted a cash settlement. I really do think it was all about the money and not justice. Stallworth lost his drivers license for life, after serving 30 days in jail he has house arrest for 2 years and will be on probation for 8 years.

I would probably be scared to drive. But then again, I wouldn’t have tried to hide it. I would be in someone’s mental hospital because it would be eating my ass alive that I killed people, not to mention kids. But then again, that’s how human beings would react….not animals, they always behave differently.

The Justice system works for you and against you… She is only out for someone to make $$$$$(Everything is about business)… That’s all I would say.. Was it her intention to “Murder” five people as Sandra puts it, probaly not.. By no mines am I defending what she did, it’s unfortunate that 5 pricelss lives were lost but the fact is Miss Michael made a mistake. The reality is that we can not bring them back, even if they put her under the jail you can’t bring them back….
You can’t charge her with Murder one, that wont fly, If she get found guilty of Murder 1.. I would be surpised, I say Manslaughter X 5 and she pleads gulity may get 10-15 and probation.

    wiggy2272003 says:

E, I just know that people are arrested all the time with limited or no evidence sometimes they are innocent. There has to be equal treatment ie innocent until proven guilty. The decision to grant bail cannot be discretionary to the court based on what? How guilty someone looks? Let me ask you this if you get arrested do you want a yt judge to have the decision whether or not to treat you fairly and like every other case? Or to just look at the prosecution’s statemnt and say No bail? Who would make the descisions? Its just a scary thought to let the court start cherry picking who gets a bail and who doesn’t before they have been found guilty.

  37. 37
    wiggy2272003 says:

also E no I don’t because they are a risk to society at large. Her being on house arrest is not really a risk to society.

  38. 38
    ELove says:

    @wiggy
Your premise is valid but the underlying logic that your putting forth regarding this incident is very sketchy to me

So her driving drunk AND killing an entire family AND trying to evade the commitment of said-crime AND having proof that she was IN FACT the person that recklessly caused this Horrific Crime… ARE they’re any other suspects at lerge responsible for this crime ???

WHAT EXACTLY got lost in the Judge, Prosecution, Police investigation, etc, etc, etc that said SHE is the ideal candidate for bail-n-house arrest WHICH BTW she disregarded in her efforts to continue to go out partying

Again I’m not knocking your premise, I’m speaking strictly in regards to this person & this incident exclusively

    wiggy2272003 says:

E lets just put aside the partying I never said it shouldn’t be revoked is she’s not following the rules.although btw the partying is an assumption all we know is her neighbor said she left the house at night. Also an assumption is that she was drunkdriving at the time of the accident as no breathalyzer test was given to her at or around the time.

Regarding this case, I would guess everyone else in the area who owns a champagne BMW and cannot prove their whereabouts that night would be a suspect.

You said she is IN FACT the guilty party. Thank you for proving my point. Assuming Facts before all evidence and testimony has been shown to the court is A VERY SCARY thought to me. Assumpiton and the law period is scary.
I am by no means saying the law system is perfect. But in theory it should work. The people carrying out are what coruupts it.
Personal Disclaimer I detest this woman and wish her to get all thats coming to her. This was just for the sake of the debate.

  43. 43
    ELove says:

    @wiggy
I WAS about to be you a VERBAL ASSAULT until your personal disclaimer (LMAO…)
SHE did l;eave the scene of the crime so we’ll THROW OUT the breath-test info, Didn’t forensics prove that the car in question was IN FACT the weapon used during this crime… Please correct me if I’m Wrong

    With that being said:
The DOTS seem to be lining up perfectly for me MINUS this Idiotic-Trick’s behavior BEFORE, DURING, AFTER and MOST RECENTLY regarding this Horrific Incident-n-Crime

And I ADMIT that I did take liberty by assuming she went out partying but that’s neither here-or-there regarding the BASIS of our discussion

  44. 44
    iscream says:

Wiggy are you familar with this case? They (she and her family) admitted it was her. There was eyewitness at the scene.. It was Ester Sunday & this family was coming from church. I don’t know about the drunk driving part. She was coming from the store for her mother when the accident happened.

The question now isn’t if she did it or not. The question I have is. Why did she run? Even if out of fear. Why didn’t she turn herself in the following day? Why did she try to cover it up by getting her car fixed?

I wonder what her bail was. If anything less than a million… smh.

    Thank you Daisy!!!

  46. 46
    wiggy2272003 says:

I am not questioning if she did it or not. We all know she did it. My point is the system has to work the same way for every defendant.

E how did Forensics PROVE anything when nothing has been presented yet as she hasn’t had her trial yet.
Also admit you assumed she was drunk driving because it was the middle of the day, she was home and ran to to the store, did not buy alchohol etc.

Iscream I don’t know all the details I just know I like the idea of innocent until proven guilty. And yes I would like to know why she did what she did too. Unimaginable to continue on about your life.

I just like to debate.I have nothing but contempt and disdainment for that woman and I wish her life in prison.

    Forensic Accounting for one…
    Financial-n-Assessment Analysis for drug-lords, CEO-High end corporate embezzlement, High-end Divorce-proceedings, etc.

Various crime-scene Forensics-protocols for detailed analysis for HOW A CRIME was actually committed, what type of weapons and at where-n-what angle it was used, Reverse-Engineering as far as taking a car apart to ascertain How-Where-When such particular damage was done AND the evidence that was left behind to evaluate even further

THESE are just some of the Tried-n-Tested Forensic Science protocols that are at the judicial systems disposal IF they choose to pay for such service to assist in solving the occurrence of a FELONY Criminal Act

@Daisy… IS she talking about the WARNING box ???

  54. 54
    wiggy2272003 says:

But E I don’t understand, you are arguing against my premise because you’re saying she should be treated differently, you’re saying we she is guilty of a horrific crime and we should treat her as such before her trial.

  55. 55
    wiggy2272003 says:

Are you saying that the prosecution has thier forensic evidence ready? I’m sure they do but it must be presented so the defense can dispute it. Thats what I meant by not proven. If not then I don’t know what to say I got lost in all those words and its Friday afternoon so…. Hope you have a good weekend. Made my day go a little faster.

  56. 56
    ELove says:

    @wiggy
    NO I’M NOT
Someone awaiting their trial doesn’t EXCLUDE them from being GUILTY of the CRIME their being Charged-n-Tried for… The courts severe lapsed in judgement allowed this women to remain free on house-arrest…

Leaving the scene of the crime ALONG WITH attempting to cover-up your involvement is BEYOND CRIMINAL in my eyes therefore she forfeited ANY GOOD WILL GESTURES as far as her bail-bond amount and House-arrest provisions.

  57. 57
    ELove says:

    @wiggy
    ASK yourself one question…
IF she was so UNPROVEN of her GUILT then why is she on house-arrest??? She shouldn’t be under ANY TYPE of house-arrest if their isn’t resounding evidence to prove HER direct involvement in this crime

Hope you enjoy your weekend also !!!

  58. 58
    wiggy2272003 says:

Good point E #57 can’t answer that cuz I don’t know enough about what warrents house arrest vs just out on bail. And yes you’re right guilty people await trial. I just thought there were certain criteria to grant bail,( first offense, non violent crime, flight risk, danger to others, liklihood to commit another crime etc). I just don’t know enough to go any further.

    @ Lady Justice

You must have been over at boooosssip reading their horribly put together story.

    1. The only reason Stallworth is being charged is because he was drinking. If he was sober he wouldn’t have been charged with a got damn thang. Also Stallworth took it like a man. He didn’t hide, lie or try to take the heat off of himself. He admitted to it and is owning it.

    2. The reason why Michael Vick went to jail was 2 things. First it was because he lied and lied and lied and denied the whole thing. Second, he went to jail for the financial side of things. The feds don’t get two shiiiits about the dog fighting…it was the bank rolling he was doing. If dumbass Vick would have manned up he would have gotten a better deal.
