Republicans: “We can fix a lot of bad stuff Obama might do”

As Barack Hussein Obama’s plan for health care reform heats up, Republicans in Congress are setting in motion their own plans to defeat the bill.
The Obama administration feels a “public option” government-run health insurance program is the best option to reform health care and drive down medical costs.
But Medicare and Medicaid are proof that the government has no business running health care.
Medicare and Medicaid aren’t even fully funded by the government — the programs are subsidized by taxpayers!
How many times have you had services — or even applications to Medicare and Medicaid denied?
The Wall Street Journal blog breaks it down for you:
…a public option will undercut private insurers and pass the tab to taxpayers and health providers just as it does in existing government-run programs. For example, Medicare pays hospitals 71% and doctors 81% of what private insurers pay.
Who covers the rest? Government passes the bill for the outstanding balance to providers and families not covered by government programs. This cost-shifting amounts to a forced subsidy. Families pay about $1,800 more a year for someone else’s health care as a result, according to a recent study by Milliman Inc. It’s also why many doctors limit how many Medicare patients they take: They can afford only so much charity care.
The reason the Obama administration is pushing so hard for socialized medicine is so they can drive private insurance companies out of business, which will result in a government monopoly on insurance. Doctors will be left with no choice but to accept money from the government — money that Obama has already said the government does not have.
Therefore, the only way to pay for Obama’s health plan is by raising taxes — another promise soon to be broken by Barack “Flip Flop” Obama.
Obama administration: Rein in executive pay in the private sector!

Barack Hussein Obama’s administration today announced new guidelines to control executive pay not just within companies that received bailout funds from TARP, but in all companies and firms in the private sector! This means YOU and the executive compensation you receive based on your work performance will be affected!
Gene Sperling, who advises Treasury Secretary Timothy Geithner, said Thursday the administration does not want to impose caps on executive pay. But he also laid out for the House Financial Services Committee a list of guidelines calling on publicly-held companies to link compensation to long-term performance, not short-term gains. READ MORE…
Why doesn’t the administration rein in their own out-of-control spending instead of worrying about what executives earn in publicly held companies?
Welp, I tried to warn you about Obama’s ‘Orwellian Big Brother‘ mentality even before he was elected.

Who Knew Ice Cube Shopped For Groceries?

When I picture a rapper handling his business on his down time, shopping for groceries rarely comes to mind. Although it makes sense that a family man like rapper/director Ice Cube would bring home the bacon, literally — it’s just weird to actually see him doing it.
With magazines folding at a rapid rate due to the ailing economy, VIBE magazine boldly introduces a new gossip rag, er, mag called THE MOST! Jezebel.com gives a peek within THE MOST! mag’s pages. And so far, I like what I see!
I also like Jezebel.com’s caption under this pic:
Where else will you learn that Ice Cube shops? And “today was a good day” is the best caption ever. He didn’t even have to use his AK at the grocery store. Phew. READ MORE…
Morning Wood: David Beckham

Armani’s new underwear ad featuring soccer star David Beckham is out. This time around they stuffed his drawls with two socks instead of one. Armani’s new campaign might just backfire on them. How many men will want to buy Armani drawls if they can’t measure up to this?
Want Tyrese’s Love? Get a Tattoo

R&B crooner is a ladies man who knows exactly what he wants in a woman:
From Page Six:
Gals who want to impress Tyrese Gibson should shake their booties over to the tattoo parlor. “I love seeing my name on a woman’s butt,” the buff rapper and “Transformers” star, who sports 70 tattoos himself, tells Inked magazine. “Ladies, if you want to impress me when you meet me, I need to see my name on your right cheek.” He adds: “Girls have had tattoos of my face. One girl went and got her ass tattooed on her right arm . . . It’s important to keep things tasteful.”
250,000 Doctors Oppose Obama’s Health Plan

As Barack Hussein Obama prepares to meet with the largest medical association in America on Monday, its doctors are already going on record opposing Obama’s national health plan.
From the NY Times:
As the health care debate heats up, the American Medical Association is letting Congress know that it will oppose creation of a government-sponsored insurance plan, which President Obama and many other Democrats see as an essential element of legislation to remake the health care system.
The American Medical Association (A.M.A.), with its 250,000 member doctors, is America’s largest physician organization. Without their approval, Obama’s health plan is dead in the water, so to speak.
Nurses that I’ve spoken with over the last 6 months also oppose the national health care plan (I’m a registered nurse). None of Obama’s grand plans have produced the expected results so far. His $800 billion stimulus bill is already an epic failure.
We nurses know that what Obama proposes will be a nightmare because we are the ones in the trenches! Why doesn’t the Obama administration focus on Medicare and Medicaid? Why not fix those ailing programs first?
Obama’s plan will drive private insurance companies like State Farm and Aflac out of business. Private insurance companies cover almost 70% of Americans. The insurance companies that survive will be at the mercy of Obama, Pelosi and the government.
Meaning, if you’re over 65 and you require hip surgery, that option will not be available to you under Obama’s health plan because it will be deemed too expensive. There is simply not enough money for what Obama proposes. And if doctors and nurses leave the field as they say they will, there won’t be any medical services either.
