Mike Tyson gets his priorities in order: Marries his longtime girlfriend
I am not a stickler for everyone marrying their mates. But it took a tragedy like losing his daughter for former boxing champ Mike Tyson to put a ring on his longtime baby mother’s finger.
This comes as a surprise to some who have seen pics of Tyson with numerous white girls on his arms. But this goes along with what I said in an earlier post about women who stay in their lane when the man is providing for her and her children.
Former Heavyweight champ Mike Tyson, 42, married his longtime girlfriend Lakiha Spice, 32, in a civil ceremony at the Las Vegas Hilton on Saturday, June 6, 2009. This is Tyson’s third marriage. The couple wed two weeks after Tyson’s 4-year-old daughter Exodus was found hanging by a cord from a treadmill in her Phoenix home. The child died at a Phoenix hospital on May 26, 2009.
New Couple Alert: Vivica A. Fox and Delonte West
Gorgeous actress Vivica A. Fox was a guest on Joyce Littel’s show on V-103 Sunday night. Afterwards, she stopped by her favorite spot, the Velvet Room. And judging from these pictures, she was or was not with basketball star Delonte West of the Cleveland Cavaliers.
According to my source, Vivica entered the club and made a bee line for the VIP where Delonte was holding it down with his boys. After they hooked up, it was all about him for the “rest of the night.” I’m told they hugged and danced and shared laughs.
Now, I haven’t confirmed any of this with Vivica’s camp. So please don’t say that Sandra Rose said they are a new couple.

I had to get out of my bed and log on for this…I am watching Gotti’s Way and his wife is on Gayle King’s show. Irv and some of his staff are listening at Murder Inc and the female has the nerve to say “If I was getting what she’s getting, I’d be good”.. IS SHE SERIOUS..? Is this what we do.? I am not going to believe that we as married women (which I am not) will just sit back and allow our husbands to cheat, pay the bills and you would be OK with this… I know you have an opinion on this.. Now, here is my response to Shalonda’s question… “is this what we do?”
I have no personal experience with being married, but it would seem to me that black women in the distant past had no problem ‘settling’ for their men because their roles were clearly defined — back then.
Decades ago — before the women’s lib movement (which was organized by lesbians, by the way) — the black woman knew her place was to be homemaker, nurturer and caregiver to their children.
The husband’s role was to bring home the bread, so to speak.
Most black men today would rather spend their bread on gear, rims and other shiny things to attract other women (or other men as the case may be in Atlanta).
Therefore, if a man shows you by his words and actions that he LOVES you enough to provide for you and pay your bills, that says a lot about him as a man.

Open Letter to the POTUS
From an elementary school teacher who has had it up to here with Obama. I removed her name because it’s doubtful that a Fourth Grade elementary school teacher wrote this. But the letter contains some great points that are worthy of debate:

I have had it with you and your administration, sir. Your conduct on your recent trip overseas has convinced me that you are not an
adequate representative of the United States of America collectively or of me personally. You are so obsessed with appeasing the Europeans and the Muslim world that you have abdicated the responsibilities of the President of the United States of America . You are responsible to the citizens of the United States .. You are not responsible to the peoples of any other country on earth. I personally resent that you go around the world apologizing for the United States telling Europeans that we are arrogant and do not care about their status in the world.Sir, what do you think the First World War and the Second World War were all about if not the consideration of the peoples of Europe ? Are you brain dead? What do you think the Marshall Plan was all about? Do you not understand or know the history of the 20th century?
Where do you get off telling a Muslim country that the United States does not consider itself a Christian country? Have you not read the Declaration of Independence or the Constitution of the United States? This country was founded on Judeo-Christian ethics and the principles governing this country, at least until you came along, come directly from this heritage. Do you not understand this? Your bowing to the king of Saudi Arabia is an affront to all Americans. Our President does not bow down to anyone, let alone the king of Saudi Arabia. You don’t show Great Britain, our best and one of our oldest allies, the respect they deserve yet you bow down to the king of Saudi Arabia. How dare you, sir! How dare you!
Celebs Out & About: Rihanna and one lucky kid
We don’t know who the kid is but he’s lucky to be keeping company with the biggest urban pop star and style icon on the planet!
It looks like Rihanna is babysitting. According to X17online.com, she took the kid to a movie over the weekend. I wonder what they saw? One thing is for sure, he’s a mouth breather.
Check out Rihanna’s colorful Rasta hat! Love how she picks up the red color in the hat with her lipstick. But red is not her color.
By wearing that Rasta hat, we wonder if Ri Ri s sending a subliminal message to her fans who partake of the herb? Rihanna is wearing those same ripped J Brand jeans that she wore to the Laker game paired with white Converse high heel sneakers and a yellow blouse.
