As stated previously, since when has pole dancing become a noble profession or now an act of worship? I am not going to swing my 41 year old big azz on a pole like I am some monkey. Black people should run from poles. Didn’t enough of our ancestors hang from poles?? Has anyone ever heard of the term “lynching”? Google it. Leave the poles for the monkeys and snakes.

Maybe I’m oversimplifying this..But it’s a pole..He’s dancing..Which as I’m sure many of you know is an acceptable form of worship in churches now a days.. The pole is a prop..Granted it is one that has become synonymous with strippers..But it’s a prop nonetheless. .It’s like using a chair.. a banner..etc… I’ll admit..At first glance it does appear to be a bit inappropriate because of the “pole”..But it’s not like he was gyrating…He somehow managed to keep it tasteful I think…

@Charles I am sure when I have kids they will listen to wordly music and attend concerts(I do as well) but I also want them to know the word of God as well. So if hip hop gospel helps them do that then so be it. I said in my original post there was room for BOTH new age and traditional gospel. When Kirk 1st came out ppl tried to tear him down and nobody know how many souls he has saved and touched with his music just an ex.

I think the thing that has most people unsure about him dancing on a pole to gospel is that people always equate the pole to the strippers, so it’s kind of hard to remove that image long enough to take this type of “praise” dancing seriously. Plus the fact that at one point in the video, dude was practically spread eagle upside down on the pole…..Just my 0.02

Standards are set high for teens at my churh has nothing to do with hip hop gospel or not they know the word as well and can go on mission trips and minister Gods word. So I have yet to see the problem. Since you are a perfect parent I’m sure u will let me know.

Our teen dance ministry has set the church on fire before to traditional songs and they will get crunk and do a mary mary or Ty Tribet song as well. As long as they are saved and know the word I am fine with it.

Steve Harvey uses black people meet for his radio date segement. The couple this morning hit it off. I am not a fan of on line dating although I know ppl do meet and get married. I just dont think its romantic..lol I dont want my kids to ask where did you and mommy meet and I say on line. I want a cute story to tell.
