Celebs Out & About: Tiny & Toya Premiere Party

Reality TV stars Tiny & Toya flew back to Atlanta from the west coast yesterday where they attended the 2009 BET Awards.
The ladies only had time to put their kids to bed, change and freshen up their makeup before heading out to Straits restaurant where friends and fans gathered to watch the premiere of their show which debuted on BET last night.
The ratings aren’t in yet, but the show was a huge success at Ludacris’ restaurant, according to those who attended. Photos by ExclusiveAccess.net

I watched the show last night. The one thing I like; the love between Tiny and Toya is genuine. They seem like real, and true friends to each other. This is rare.

thanks sponge I missed the first ten minute my son actually was watching when I walked in his room and it reminded me. They look both look cute and casual and I don’t see nothing wrong. Has to be sad watching you daddy thru oldtimers. (i know thats not real spelling). And must be horrible to be able to give your mama a better life and she chooses the streets. Camron mom the same way. he bought her a house out in NJ but she won’t leave the streets of Harlem. He said she’s more hood than he is. I really liked the show but I’m sorry if she is not pursuing her career because of her man their relationship is headed for trouble. her mom knows she still wants to sing and was pressing you could Tell Tiny was avoiding the subject. And she truly can sing.

i only watched the preview after the awards sunday. but the part about her dad was really sad, almost made me cry. she was trying to talk to him, and he wasnt saying ANYTHING to her

Since Sandra said we can mention blogs on her blog roll (I know she did)…if you missed it, you can watch the entire episode at Necole ****ie’s site. It wasn’t a bad show. Everybody seems mad at the accents. That’s not fair to say because I’m not even American and had no problem understanding what they said. Their accents are just thick is all. The pics of Tiny when she was a kid as well as the Xscape days, she was actually cute. I think the eyebrow ring mixed in with the fact that she looks like she did something to her lips is what’s making her funny looking now. Toya is beautiful…even without a stitch of makeup the girl is pretty. It shows them in a fairly positive light and I’m not mad at the show at all.
And by the way…Kandi is nice looking and all…but that hair colour is NOT for her.

It was ok, really it was the sneek peek all over again just with an extended pajama party scene…so I was a little disappointed about that. I will check out the next episode though. What Im surprised about is Toya letting it be known she’s not over Wayne….now listen, Nivea, Laura London, and Trina all went thru the same thing, but they hadn’t been with Wayne since he was a child, so I can understand its hard, but damn she know everybody is going to take this human emotion and run with it. Anyway, the show wasn’t that bad, its something to watch on Tuesdays if nothing else I guess.

Well since I’ve never been obsessed with TI and was a die hard Xscape fan, I’ve always been neutral on Tiny. I did use to hear that she was a really sweet person and when the been between the group was going on she was the peacemaker and remained a good friend to all of them. I hear she’s a good friend.
Now I don’t know Toya from the man on the moon, only that she was a teenaged mother and bride to a rapper. I haven’t got the urge to watch the show but maybe I’ll catch it.
I will say that the ladies look nice in the first picture and Kandi has the cutest smile. I hope she just takes over for DeShawn and doesn’t act a fool on the show.

thats what they refer to as a lead in they premier a show after another already large show or some awards type and usually half of the audience stays and thus leads to large numbers

What’s wrong with that? I am 42 as of yesterday and when I was a teen there was a woman in her 40’s who wore braces at the same time as her teenagers. Ppl are living longer and healthier and you don’t have to die with dentures. My dad is 75 and has all his pearly whites.

thats not just alanta, a lot of companies are outsourcing. i work at a health insurance company and many of our providers (drs) outsource their billing staff. its sad, but they pay the indians alot less than they pay us

Tiny is a cute girl with a cute shape. She’s no Eva but damn she takes a lot of heat for her looks and her nose. Maybe she got that nose from her daddy and is proud of it. Clearly she can afford surgery and I think she had some work on lips esp the top one. I enjoyed the show. I truly believe that even tho Toya grew up ghetto she can she past that and is on trying to grow and become all the woman she can. Kind of like Keyco. I can’t say the same for all young ladies in the industry. Some stay in the hood mentally when clearly they could be more (not saying any names). Why does a thick accent bother so many people? Why is it that whenever a show airs its the highest rated ever. I’m starting to think they lying. Now watch when the Frankie & Neffie show airs. Its going to be the highest rated ever. (When does that show start).

everybody says that, but the truth is, Im just not in to it like that……I mean its cool to start off with, but as far as needing that like I would need to get a piece….non comparable.
I liked the show and it made me respect my mother more. She could have ran off but she stood strong and still and did what she had to do. I wish these two the best and advise them to shake off the haters people always have somthing bad to say like they walked the earth like Jesus. And I have braces I’m 28 my top one I got off my bottoms in a week or do prefect teeth for the rest of my life. I think it’s never to late to fix your teeth just my opinion.

Daisy I have lived in ATL for almost 15 years I know everyone don’t talk like that My hubby was raised by that man gradybaby Columbia High and he doesn’t . But a lot of folks do, I said that because I see a lot of people on the net( not justt here) are always going in on her about her accent. Its the same with NYers we don’t all tallk like Yo fuggedaboudid .. I didn’t hear any ebonics come out of her mouth last night. Toya’s accent was stronger to me but that might be cuz i’m used to the Georgia one not so used to Nawlins. Its all fine to me.
I agree Kandi needs to go directly to the beauty supply and buy an ash toner and let it sit on that head. girl if you can’t find a toner buy a bottle of light ash blonde mix it with one oz of developer and 1 oz conditioner let it sit on your head for about 20 minutes. You’ll thank me.

Whenver I find out a company I do business with is outsourcing if possible I end my business relationship with them and tell them exactly why IN WRITING. Was at work got a phone call from radio station here in Atlanta asking survey bout listening. Found out the guy was calling from North Dakota he told me cost of living is low up there so lots of companys send those types of jobs up there because they speak english and they work for lower wages. . This radio station wants people her in GA to support them by listening by they can’t support the economy here by hiring local people? Same with Bell south /att. You want us to support your business and spend part of your wages but instead of supporting our economy and giving wages you suppport INDIA’a! GET THE FCUK OUTTA HERE WITH BULLSHYT!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!! the only way to curtail some of this is by doing what I do. End your business with that company and tell them in writing addressed to the Highest up you could find exactly why. Now when India blows up and surpasses us like China they all gonna be sitting her looking stupid like What happened. **** rolls down the hill.
My department is staying because we are profit producing..but the people downstairs will get a package depending on how long they been here…..

The company I work for has outsourced for years. What I can’t beleive is that when I call my company for help that too is outsouced. The phone rings “Hello this is George”. George has a thick ass accent that I can’t even understand. He’s suppose to be on my side but I am getting upset because I have to have him repeat every thing. I don’t understand how a company as old and reputable as the one I work for could be so cheap. If you can’t understand who is on the other end because they have to keep repeating every thing and it takes more time to get the end result, who benefits?. Customer service is suppose to be painless, cheery and quick.

hi 5 on outsourcing. i found out that if you call and you get somebody on the phone in another country who you can’t understand and vice versa… that if you DEMAND to be put in touch with someone in america, that they HAVE to connect you to an american agent? i read it in a chain email awhile ago but i JUST tried it earlier this week with my cc company. it worked.
I will say, Toya’s weave is always on point. I didn’t see the show but I may check it out online.
@ Kwall, a girl I work with told me that last year I do it all the time now and I ALWAYS get an American when I do. Besides the fact of their accent their understanding is also they listen to what you say pick up on the “key words” and then respond with a prewitten answer. Sometimes it doesn’t even make sense. I urge you all to whenever you get an indian say I want to speak with someone stateside immediatley. If enought people do it maybe they will cut down on sending the calls overseas.
I had to call Amazon and got a yt american boy. He understood exactly what my problem was after one time explaining and fixed it right away. When they sent they survey about how did he do thats the first thing I wrote. Thank you so much for having an American call me communication was clear he helped quick and was polite.

Daisy, I aint trying to do nunna that. I have posted before she could mos def benefit from a public speaking class. But it’s just not that big of an issue to me. She works behinds the scenes(producing, owning a salon) and this is a REALITY show. Ozzy Osbourne the originator of celebrity reality shows was unintelligable too.
I believe her and Toya have more in them then what they appear to right now and will do a log of growing and self improvemnt. Mark my words.
