Former British child star Mark Lester recently spent some time with Michael Jackson’s three children following the emotional public memorial for Michael in L.A.
Lester, 50, who flew over from London where he resides with his own four children, is Godfather to Prince Michael I, 12, Paris Katherine, 11, and Prince Michael II, aka Blanket, 7. Lester and Jackson were friends for 30 years before Jackson passed away after suffering a heart attack on June 25.
Lester told RadarOnline.com that the children Jackson raised as his own are sorting through their grief in their own unique ways.
“The kids seemed to be coping quite well and they are surrounded by their family right now,” said Lester. “They are very polite and quite quiet kids and despite all the publicity surrounding them and their family they are trying to keep things as normal as possible at home.”
He said, Paris “loves to draw and paint and has been spending a lot of time with those hobbies” while Prince “loves playing video games to try and keep occupied.” As for Blanket, he is “like most seven-year old kids who simply loves to play with his favorite toys and run around a little ‘crazy’ at times.”
“They are getting strength from each other and the other family members that are supporting them while the whole family mourns Michael’s death,” Lester added. “I actually got strength from them after Michael’s death and I think it was very important for Paris to speak at the Memorial service.”
In 1968 Lester was chosen from among 2,000 young hopefuls to star in the Oscar Award winning musical adaptation of the Charles Dickens novel Oliver!. He became an overnight sensation when he uttered the immortal line, “Please, sir, can I have some more?”

LMAO @ at wiggy.. btw.. “billie jean” has surfaced…lol
oh snap.. and one of dr kleins gay lovers….wow…
AND there is proof of his vitiligo on this site you got the story from auntie!! POST IT!!!!!!
Lester told RadarOnline.com that” the children Jackson raised as his own “are sorting through their grief in their own unique ways.
Sandra why must you single out that fact, MJ(I hope he’s with Jesus) raised those kids, he was the only parent they had…
SMH….Kicking rocks to the next post……
I always believed MJ had Vitilego(sp) which in turn made him bleach his skin. Every day americans have the same options as well. As an entertainer I am sure he didnt want to be on stage with splotchy spots all over his face/hands etc. make up would sweat off. My great aunt suffers from the same thing and her skin in some spots is as light as MJs and she didnt even use bleach.
Well Sandra don’t believe it and I BET she watched the video AND the special last night.. come on Sandra..miss “I admit when I am wrong”…let’s hear it.. I’ll wait…
Wiggy you are a damn fool for that….like the auntie that everybody loves at the family reunion who takes one random part of the conversation and runs with it in another direction…I Love It!!!
As for the post, I’m glad someone with a seemingly unbiased opinion has confirmed the kids are OK.
Did anyone see the special with Joe Jackson last night??? I feel asleep!!! I hate it when that happens
I missed it too melinla.. but it will be on again monday I think.. I set my dvr just in case.
@melina I felt it was the same special/show that came on last week. I was like I watched this mess for nothing. I only saw the last 30 mins cause I watched Tiny and Toyas show 1st..lol Joe was being Joe same interview from last week you didnt miss anything. They showed a few clips from some home movies of Katherine at home with the grandkids she is already raising or rather that live with her.
I recorded the special.
But
I went to a theater and saw a Jackson Five special that was filmed in 1974 when they made their first trip to Senagal, Africa. MJ was the greatest!!!!!!!
Looking fwd to seeing special. Funny how Joe looks the same 30 years later.
@ice I heard about that lost footage and saw a clip on CNN last week
I watched the special. … Joe said the kids shoudl remain wth teir grandmother and I,”grow the kids up to be strong Jackson’s.. He didn’t let out any “Family Secrets” to me at least nothing I haven’t heard in the tabloids. .. He went on to say that Michael did a good job at raising the kids and that he last time he spoke to MJ was like the week before at some hotel in Beverly Hills he had a meeting with MJ and the top dogs for AEG, he said he told MJ to watch them”AEG” not to trust them.. He also said something to the fact “who making the $$$$$”, the paper tails… One thing about Joe he’s about the business…
glad y’all apprieciate randomness, plus I just couldn’t really see the story. Alththough this seems to me the closest to the truth than anything else I’ve read about those children(minus SR’s blatent disrespect to those children AND THE TRUTH he is listed on the birth certificate as Father to all three and I told you by law a man is married to a woman and she gives birth THAT MAN IS BY7LAW THE FATHER unless he disputes and disproves that fact in a court of law.I disdain that term raised as their own anyway. When I had my first child after about two weeks the realization that they could have handed me any baby in that hospital and I would have fell in love and been a mothter to THE BABY I WAS RAISING regardless of shared dna or not( I don’t even count carrying the baby cuz men don’t) The truth is quite boring which is why bloggers and the media rarely pay any mind to it.
Thanks guys - I’ll try and catch it again…I guess that means I missed Tiny and Toya too….damn it man!!!
