Remember when singer/songriter Ne-Yo broke down and cried like a B onstage during a recent concert in England? His excuse was that he lost his voice or some ish. Well, we got word that Ne-Yo lost more than his voice, he lost his longtime girlfriend/beard, Tenille.
For an artist or industry cat, finding a good loyal beard like Jessica these days can be pretty rough. Just ask Eddie Murphy and Jay Z.
A good beard must be more than just a pretty face, she must be disciplined and discrete. But above all, she must be willing to keep her mouth shut long after they part ways. There are no pre-nup agreements between stars and their beards. Their word is their bond and the trust runs deep. No wonder Ne-Yo was crying! I almost feel sorry for the guy.
This past week, Ne-Yo partied the night away at a midtown nightclub. Sources say Ne-Yo drowned his sorrows in the arms of a variety of women. But at the end of the night, he left the club alone.
