Judge Awards Kelis $55K Per Month

Congrats to Kelis for parlaying her broken marriage to rapper Nas into a financial windfall for herself and their newborn son, Knight. I’m surprised they didn’t name the baby “N*gger.”

Now watch Nas file for bankruptcy…

From TMZ.com:

Kelis just hit the jackpot in court today — a judge awarded her a ton of money in her bitter divorce battle with estranged hubby Nas.

A judge decided Nas has to pay Kelis $55,000 a month in combined spousal and child support — plus the mortgage on their L.A. residence.

Nas also has to pay Kelis — who gave birth last night to the couple’s only child — for the baby nurse, prenatal expenses and medical insurance.

The rapper also has to pay $35,000 to his worst nightmare — Kelis’ lawyer, disso-queen Laura Wasser.

Bill Cosby ‘Shocked’ At Obama’s Statement About Cop

The fallout continues: Comedian Bill Cosby has weighed in on the remarks made by Barack Obama at the conclusion of last night’s televised presser from the White House.

“I’ve heard about five different reports [on the details of the arrest]. If I’m the president of the United States, I don’t care how much pressure people want to put on it about race, I’m keeping my mouth shut,” said Cosby in an interview on Boston’s WZLX.

Obama deliberately waited to call on Chicago Sun Times’ Washington bureau chief Lynn Sweet last because he obviously knew she would ask him a question about the arrest of his friend Henry Louis Gates, Jr., a distinguished Harvard University professor.

Prior to that question, most of the reporters’ questions focused on Obama’s disastrous health care reform bill.

Sgt. James Crowley arrested professor Gates last week for disorderly conduct. Obama said the Cambridge police reacted “stupidly” in arresting his friend who refused the officer’s request for ID to prove he owned the home he couldn’t unlock the front door to.

Gates, who was returning from a trip to China, couldn’t unlock his front door because he’d jammed his key in the lock.

Sgt. Crowley — the police academy expert on racial profiling — responded to Gates’ home to investigate a report of a break-in.

Richard Jefferson’s Gold Digger Speaks

Some of you will be happy to know that the LSLH gold digger who was left at the alter by NBA star Richard Jefferson is not off in a corner somewhere crying in her milk.

In true gold digger fashion, Kesha Ni’Cole Nichols, has resurfaced and is busy telling her story to anyone with a camera, microphone and a little cash to offset her expenses.

Jefferson already broke the former NY Nets cheerleader off with a six-figure payment to make her go away quietly, but it seems that wasn’t enough. Expect to see Kesha pose nude in Playboy (since KING magazine went out of business) and I’m sure a reality show is probably in the works as I type this.

White Officer Slams Obama For Calling Him “Stupid”

Sgt. James Crowley, the Cambridge police officer who arrested distinguished Harvard professor Henry Louis Gates Jr. for disorderly conduct, slammed Barack Obama for saying the Cambridge police acted “stupidly” in arresting Gates.

Obama made the insulting remark during his televised press conference on health care reform last night from the White House. Obama prefaced his remarks by admitting bias because Gates was a close friend of his.

Both Crowley and his attorney Alan McDonald spoke with ABC News today. McDonald said Obama “was dead wrong to malign this police officer specifically and the department in general.”

Crowley added, “I think he’s way off base wading into a local issue without knowing all the facts, as he himself stated before he made that comment.

Crowley was called to professor Gates’ home last week to investigate a report of a break-in. Crowley said Gates, who was returning from a trip to China, at first refused to provide ID to the officer.

Gates then began hurling racial insults at Crowley. “Mr. Gates was given plenty of opportunities to stop what he was doing. He didn’t. He acted very irrational. He controlled the outcome of that event,” Crowley told WBZ. “There was a lot of yelling, there was references to my mother,” he added, “something you wouldn’t expect from anybody that should be grateful that you were there investigating a report of a crime in progress, let alone a Harvard University professor.”

The charges against professor Gates were later dropped.

ESPN Bans NY Post For Publishing Erin Andrews’ Photos

Those of you who get your news from conventional sources (rather than the blogs) already know about the brewing scandal surrounding ESPN and one of its reporters.

According to online reports, ESPN’s Erin Andrews, a wildly popular, curvaceous, flaxen haired reporter was filmed surreptitiously through holes drilled into the walls of at least two hotel rooms.

The pervert posted footage of Andrews beautifying herself and stepping out of the shower, etc., on YouTube.

TMZ.com believes the culprit is a member of ESPN’s own production crew who was familiar with Erin’s travel itinerary.

In all, there are said to be 6 videos filmed of Erin in different hotel rooms around the country. The police are actively investigating the case.

This puts ESPN in a very bad position. And as you can imagine, the sports network doesn’t wish to draw anymore attention to the entire sordid affair as it relentlessly hunts down the sicko, while pretending not to know he’s one of their own.

So when the NY Post ran 3 images taken from one of the grainy videos in its paper yesterday, ESPN’s top brass took immediate action.

According to the AJC, ESPN banned all NY Post reporters from appearing as guests on its network. ESPN regularly uses Post reporters as guests to provide sports analysis on its shows.

“While we understand the Post’s decision to cover this as a news story, their running photos obtained in such a fashion went well beyond the boundaries of common decency in the interest of sensationalism,” said ESPN senior vice president of communications Chris LaPlaca in a statement released Wednesday night.
