Michael Jackson’s Memorial Speakers Barely Knew Him
The majority of pop icon Michael Jackson’s so-called “friends” who spoke at his public memorial barely knew him. Maybe that’s why his true friends made the decision to avoid the public spectacle.
According to US magazine, “friends” such as Brooke Shields and Corey Feldman haven’t seen or spoken to Michael in years. Shields was a 18-year-old teenager when she met Jackson in the 80s. But the last time she saw him was at Elizabeth Taylor’s wedding 18 years ago.
Feldman last spoke to Jackson a few years ago after they had a falling out. Yet, when interviewed, Feldman said he felt drained by Jackson’s death.
Singer Usher, who broke down in tears onstage has only met Jackson once. Rapper-turned actress-turned singer, Queen Latifah, who delivered a eulogy to Jackson said, “I never actually got to meet him. My [business] partner met him because we managed Naughty by Nature and they did a remix with him. He thought I had beautiful cheekbones.”
Jennifer Hudson, who sang a soaring rendition of Jackson’s hit “Will You Be There” — also never met him. Neither has John Mayer, whose instrumental version of “Human Nature” was not very well received.
On the other hand, Jackson’s lifelong friends such as Diana Ross — who met Jackson when he was a 10-year-old musical prodigy — was a no-show. As was the legendary actress Elizabeth Taylor, who took to her twitter to say she wished to avoid the Hollywood “whoopla.”
Meanwhile, the city of Los Anegeles is begging for donations to cover the event’s $1.4 million cost. And word is another “memorial” to Jackson is in the works.
Independent Voters Backing Away From Obama
Red flags heralded the coming of Barack Obama even before his storied emergence onto the political scene.
The mystery was why so many followers fell for Obama’s lies. And why his approval ratings stayed so high even in the face of his dismal failures.
Now, 6 months after Obama took the oath of office, his supporters have finally stopped drinking the Kool Aid.
A comparison of national and smaller public polls show a downward trend of independent voters who approve of Obama’s job ratings. This is important because Obama needs these crucial independent voters if he has any hopes of winning a second term in office.
The polls are reacting to Obama’s heavy handed free wheeling spending that has more than doubled the national debt since he took office.
So far, Obama’s $800 billion stimulus bill (the one he didn’t bother to read) has failed to stimulate anything other than the coffers of the Democrats who supported his bid for office.
“This is a huge sea change that is playing itself out in American politics,” said Democratic pollster Doug Schoen. “Independents who had become effectively operational Democrats in 2006 and 2008 are now up for grabs and are trending Republican.
“They’re saying, ‘Costing too much, no results, see the downside, not sure of the upside,’” he said.
Oh, and remember those jobs that Obama’s administration promised would materialize if Congress passed his porkulus bill? Well, now the Obama administration is de-emphasizing the jobs creation provision of the bill as a requirement when “rating” proposed projects for possible funding — a sign that the administration is beginning to panic.
And on Tuesday, the legendary investor Warren Buffet warned that unemployment — which stands at 9.5% (the highest level in 26 years) — could hit 11%!
Such signs are fueling discussions of yet a 2nd stimulus bill — though no one in Obama’s administration is willing to admit that a second bill is in the works.
Lil Wayne Sued For Being a NO CLASS Act

It certainly would have been cheaper to buy an alarm clock. Lil Wayne is being sued for nearly half-a-million bucks for sleeping when he should have been performing.
Red City Entertainment claims it fronted $432,000 for a Wayne concert appearance in the Bahamas. On September 27, 2008, there were plenty of lights and cameras… but no action, because Wayne was passed out in his hotel room. When he didn’t show for the performance, cops went to his hotel and found him unconscious.
In the lawsuit filed today, Red City claims it gave Wayne a $210,000 advance. The balance is for his hotel expenses and various costs involved in throwing the failed concert.

Old man Jay Z attended DJ Cassidy’s birthday bash at the NY Public Library in NYC last night. The public library used to be my spot back in the day when I attended P.S. 39.
By the way, Jigga’s after party for his concert at Chastain Park will be held at — you guessed it — the Velvet Room in Tucker. I hear that Jay Z will hold court in the VIP with his HLF Beyonce and a gaggle of celebs and VIPs.
I was thinking about going to the party, but only if I can get my own booth and bottle service. You know how I do.

Jackson’s Doctor Admits Prescribing Demerol For Jackson
Dr. Arnold Klein, a dermatologist who treated Michael Jackson until his death, has admitted to prescribing the narcotic painkiller Demerol for Jackson.
In an interview that aired on CNN’s Larry King Show last night, Klein brought up Jackson’s old burn injury sustained during a Pepsi commercial shoot in the early 90′s, as an excuse for continuing to prescribe the narcotic to Jackson.
As for fathering Jackson’s two older children, Klein admitted to donating sperm — once — to a sperm bank, but not specifically for Jackson’s use.
Klein’s flip flop admission comes one day after he denied overprescribing narcotic painkillers to Jackson. He also denied being one of the doctors currently under investigation. But acording to TMZ.com, the Jackson family gave L.A. police a list of doctors who overprescribed meds to Jackson — and Klein’s name was on it.
Kelin, who is responsible for Jackson’s ghastly white appearance, said he treated Jackson for Lupus, an inflammatory response to the body’s immune system attacking the body’s cells.
Klein recalls meeting Jackson for the first time when a friend brought him to his office. Klein described a red “butterfly rash” on Jackson’s face — a classic sign of Lupus, and his “severe acne” at the time. Klein does not mention the vitiligo skin disease that Jackson frequently hid behind — and that his fans continue to repeat despite there being no evidence to that fact.
Klein also remarked on the fact that Jackson thought his face was “a work of art.”
FanMAIL: Stop Promoting Obesity

Halle Berry does not need to gain weight. What makes you think all black men want two hundred + pound women on their arm in public or on top of them in private? (Just because he will freak you does not mean he wants to marry you or is proud to be out in public with you). Your site has pictures of women who are obviously overweight and you promote/hype this as healthy and attractive.
Okay, the lady might be attractive, however, in almost every case she would look much better if she lost 20 to 40 pounds and she still could back it up. lol. There are some black women who can carry 20 pounds more than other women when their weight is on the lower body and she has a small waist. This DOES NOT APPLY TO ALL BLACK WOMEN. And, those who can carry the extra weight often take it too far. Instead of maybe an extra 20 pounds they are carrying an extra 50 pounds. Is it too much to ask if black men ask black women to be reasonable with their weight?
And, if you say this is too much to ask. Then how can you also complain when he dates a women who will keep her weight down. I have been to other countries with sizable populations of pure black women and the majority of them are not overweight. It is not genetic. A lot of young black girls are now overweight. Do you not recognize this as a problem? Stop promoting obesity.
