Former First Lady of Turks & Caicos Islands, LisaRaye kicked up her heels at the 16th Annual Little Miss African American Scholarship Pageant at the Sheraton Hotel in Universal City, California yesterday. As you may have already heard, LisaRaye and her ex-husband, the Premiere Michael Misick and his shenanigans with TV personality Rocsi caused Great Britain to seize control of the islands last week.

The entire government on the island was dismantled and is now in the control of Britain. If you recall, Jamaica was also once a territory of the UK before Jamaica gained it’s independence in the 60s. I was going to write about this on Friday but I could only shake my head in disgust. This would probably be the first time in history that a jumpoff has ever caused the overthrow of an entire government. Kim Porter can’t even claim that achievement.

Actors Nia Long and Chris Tucker hosted the Hair Wars at the Bronner Bros. Hair Show in Atlanta this past weekend.

As you can see, the Hair Wars isn’t the flamboyant, all out spectacle that it once was in years gone by. Maybe that accounts for the dwindling attendance over the years.

Singer Chante Moore is aging graciously as she approaches middle age. She’s still married to crooner Kenny Latimore ~~who everybody thought was How U Doin until she snapped him up~~. Chante attended the 16th Annual Little Miss African American Scholarship Pageant in California yesterday.

Actress Tichina Arnold (former lover of rapper MC Lyte) looks so lovely in her casual button down oxford shirt won over a wife beater and white linen slacks! This is how I LOVE to see women dress. You don’t have to show everything to be sexy. Did I tell y’all about the time… never mind.

Laila Ali was simply stunning at the 16th Annual Little Miss African American Scholarship Pageant in California yesterday.

Tracy Mourning, wife of basketball star Alonzo Mourning, held a baby shower for herself at The Waldorf Towers in NYC yesterday. Her friend, actress Holly Robinson Peete, was in attendance. Congrats to the happy couple!

Lisa Raye needs to be black balled from the industry for her part in that Island being turned upside down. She thought she was in Coming to America. She has some Karma to pay back. First she dissed the cast of all of us now this. SMH also.

I Love Chante’s voice. She is a true singer. Does Kadeem have custody of their children?

Nia Long looks great. She really didn’t need to have her nude pics photo shopped the way she did.

Tishina (& yes you told us, lol) always is on point. Great actress, great singing voice. She is what Beyonce wants to be yet Bey is a bigger star… weird.

@LadyJustice, there was a big write up about how she dissed the cast because she was leaving to get married. She just left everyone hanging, that was why the show got cancelled. Everyone thought she was selfish because she was only thinking about herself when she left the show, very unprofessional.
