I already knew that professional gold digger Tameka Foster ex-Glover ex-Raymond didn't write that article for Huffington Post. That's why I didn't waste my time posting it. Unlike the gullible public, I knew that Tameka wasn't articulate enough to string together a coherent paragraph unless she copied and pasted it from somewhere -- or someone else helped her write it.

From BV Buzz By Jawn Murray:

When Tameka Foster posted the blog entry "She's Pretty for a Dark-Skinned Girl..." on The Huffington Post, both celebrities and regular women alike celebrated her blog message on Twitter and Facebook.

Unbeknownst to them, while they were saluting Usher Raymond's soon-to-be ex-wife's essay on skin complexion, author Aisha Curry, who wrote the book 'Pretty For a Black Girl' (AuthorHouse/$10.49) read the piece and felt outraged that her tome had been apparently been lifted and used by Foster, who passed the work off as her own.
Read Foster's full essay here.

"My heart sank into my stomach. All the hard work, all the sleepless nights I had endured was playing back in my head as I read this article written by a woman I didn't even know," Curry told BV Buzz. "Why did I feel so connected to this article? Suddenly, it came to me. It was my work! It was my work, my voice, but in her words. I was frozen. Tears began rolling down my face as I read line after line after line. I couldn't believe it. The idea that someone could gain notoriety from an issue that I first brought to the forefront is mindboggling. People were praising her for tackling an issue that had never been exposed. Hello?!? I wrote the book on it and started it years ago. The only difference between her article and my book is she used 'dark-skinned' and I used 'Black.'" READ MORE...

  • http://charactercorner.blogspot.com attorneymom

    Tameka better be glad that she did not her plagiarize in blog form and not book form because her behind would be in legal trouble. LOL

    Sidebar: I will be purchasing Curry's book myself. : - )

    I say there is more to this story for some reason and Meka talked about this blog just today on twitter

    Jawn is worse than a dayum female at time I still can't believe he is married to a female at time her azz must have really wanted a hubby

  • starr

    Ummmm......i'm gonna give Tameka the benefit of the doubt.

    The Woman's book isn't some grand new issue. Many woman, girls have that experience. Tameka wrote about it on a popular blog. *shrugs*...whateva

  • http://myspace.com/thegameoncw Bird

    Aisha Curry sounds like a board certified hater. She didn't say Tameka plagarized her essay. She said Tameka stole her idea. Well let me tell you that no one has ever told me I am pretty for a black girl. I assume it was white people telling Aisha that. But many of my dark skinned sista friends said they often were told that they were pretty for a dark skinned girl. Aisha didn't create that idea and in fact that is not even what the hell she was talking about. She is trying to get some publicity for her self published (ie no one read it and she made no money from it) book. Cry me a river chick. I don't care if he is married to some tragic fag hag, Jawn Murray is gay and he is more bitchy than any female I have ever met.

    Star

    Thank you! I'm wondering how and where this woman was raised to never have heard about the pretty for a dark skinned girl thing. And I also wonder who she surrounds herself with for people to repeatedly tell her she is pretty for a black girl. Brothas damn sure ain't telling her that. Her book MIGHT be interesting from the perspective that I have never explored the plight of black women raised around white people, but since it is self published I have no doubt it is full of typos and bad grammar. I have no interest in reading it until a major picks it up and edits it properly.

  • Daisy

    Starr and Bird I gave Meka the benefit of the doubt as well lol so Kudos so us :clap:

  • http://charactercorner.blogspot.com attorneymom

    I agree with Bird on this one.

    To be honest, there is nothing new under the sun. Curry does have the patent on the "you pretty for a dark skinned girl" experience. Anyone is free to express their views and experiences on this issue.

    Mrs. Curry should thank Tameka and Sandra for the fame that she is about to experience.

  • http://charactercorner.blogspot.com attorneymom

    I meant Curry does not have the patent....

    they both need more people honestly..the only leg Aisha has to stand on is if what was said was (as in exact words) were used..all we need is a side by side comparison..until then all hearsay

  • Daisy

    Meka said on twitter those were HER words lol This should be interesting lol

  • http://charactercorner.blogspot.com attorneymom

    There is entirely too much drinking on Real Housewives.

  • Daisy

    Hubby came in the house and I said "your guilty pleasure show is on". He knew what show I was talking about and wanted to know what channel so he could go up stairs and watch it. He stayed down stairs and watched it with me. This show is one you have to watch with friends and share your thoughts while it's on. LOL. Yes Daisy, this show rocks.

  • Daisy

    Anna I watch it solo but chat via email with my best friend lol I stay talkin to the TV during this show

    ~~~~~~~~
    It is must see tv. Hubby and I were watching it and I text my sis and even called her on my cell while hubby and I were watching. This show makes me more Krazy. I read on another site that Kim did a interview with Essance. Why the only white girl in the "bunch" did Essance to do a interview is beyond me, but gossip is gossip and I have a whole new out look on that chick. I am loving it. LOL. A little bit of ghetto fab and thow in a white girl fab who says that she has never swirled, is a nosy persons dream of a comment. Kim is a white beast. Kim will reveal who "Big Pappa" is soon. Kim to me is a high class escort. Wanting to get her "barbie wig" line in a store line near you
  • http://charactercorner.blogspot.com attorneymom
    @Anna, my husband sat down and watched some of the show with me before he went to work and hated it.
    @Anna and Daisy, Last night's director's cut was ridiculous. Bravo should have stuck with the episode last week. But no, they had to do the fight remix this week. I am not enjoying this year's season of RHOA. It is disgusting. The drama is both embarrassing and degrading to Black women. The only people I am enjoying are Kandi's mom and Dwight. They are the only ones that are not acting a fool.
    Sidebar: Kandi’s situation is making me sadder at each episode. I really hope that she doesn’t marry the guy. 4 baby mommas is a bit much to handle. Besides, her prospect pool just expanded with her appearance on RHOA.
  • http://charactercorner.blogspot.com attorneymom
    Can someone tell me what Tania's role is on RHOA??
  • Daisy
    I watch all the housewives series and the white folks argue and carry on as well. RHOA is no different just black folks
    I :heart: dwight and kandis mama she is NOT having it lol she is funny to me
  • masonmom
    LMAOOOOO@ these housewives comments! i was dyin laughin last wk when sheree's friend clowned nene "i got room to grow to be ur size one day" nene: well what phkn size is that bytch! lmaoooo. i am a reality show junkie anywayz so i cant help but to watch bravo housewives. jersey is my fav now! i seen "big poppa" on mtv teen cribs. he's a short, stouty midget but his money is obviously tall. his house looks like a museum.
    poor kandi, reading blogs about her "engagement". note to kandi MAMAZ ARE ALWAYZ RIGHT!! i know u got uncle ralph n beebo but even tboz was like her limit is 2. them 4 babymamaz cool now til u say I DO then they say I WANT just to dip in his pockets cuz SHE got money!
  • flyqtnva
    Okay so I read Tameka's full aritcle....the whole thing...and all I will say is....I didnt know Tameka was that articulate...
  • http://charactercorner.blogspot.com attorneymom
    What does Kandi's fiancee do for a living?? It seems like he is slow. Perhaps he is just shy. How old are his children?? Can you image what his child support payment looke like??
    Oh, and I forgot about Sheree's "Vogue" man who is a female in his head.... let's just say some folks (males) should just leave homosexuality alone. It ain't working.
  • http://charactercorner.blogspot.com attorneymom
    looks like, not looke
  • Daisy
    @Mason Tania was about to get jumped by NeNe and Lisa last week lol NJ wives are NOT better than RHOA lol They are good though!
    @Attymom AJ use to sell drugs now he has several businesses per Kandi. I want her to name at least one but she never does. I use to see Sherees gay hairstylist Diva wannabe when I use to go to that salon he is funny to me lol
  • http://charactercorner.blogspot.com attorneymom
    @Daisy, he ain't no Dwight. LOL
    Anyways, I am going to The T.O. Show. At least his show isn't sending the Civil Rights Movement back a thousand years.
  • Daisy
    @attymom I watch TOs show as well! LOVE HIM
  • KaraZ
    Since Tameka doesn't strike me as a reader of anything but blogs and celeb magazines, I'm tempted to believe her.
