FanMAIL: Canadians Have No Love For Weezy
Yesterday, Lil Wayne’s publicist issued a statement disputing reports that Lil Wayne’s Canadian concert dates were canceled due to the Canadian border patrol turning Lil Wayne’s bus around at the border.
The publicist gave that same old tired excuse that Lil Wayne was ill. How many times have we heard that one? Are we supposed to believe that Weezy rolled up to the Canadian border ready to perform his show that night — and then suddenly took ill on the bus? Yeah right.
Weezy’s tour mates Soulja Boy and Nicky Minaj gave their accounts of what happened on the social networking site Twitter.com. Neither of them confirmed the publicist’s excuse that Weezy was ill.
One Canadian fan emailed me to say Canada has no love for the syrup addict who is currently on trial facing drug and gun charges. Hagi wrote:

Let me start off by saying that I enjoy reading your blog. My email is in regards to Lil Wayne’s canceled Canadian show. As a young African-Canada male, I’m ecstatic that my government denied the rapper and his entourage entry into Canada. Lil Wayne is everything that is wrong with America’s youth today and I’m dismayed that people continue to buy into his gimmick. I hope he realizes that it’s never too late to change your ways and inject some positivity into the world.

i am so in agreement with this poster and I wish the US had the balls Canada does…point blank all rappers…all of them…are a disgrace….they dont care about the impact their words have on people as a whole…and just because you say it doesnt effect you on the left side of your brain….your right side is sayig something different.. none of the stuff these entertainers do is by ACCIDENT..wake up stop supproting these fools.
& yes beyonce is also included so is her husband Jayz and soulja boy, bow-wow, all of them are using you as pawns to keep them rich and you always having to run out and get some new-new sh@t.
This is because America is all about the mighty $. Most of what these rappers say isn’t the way they actually live. Weak minded people are the ones who get sucked into the whole Matrix of the music industry. These celeb’s are regular people who put their pants on one leg at a time. And make mistakes just like the rest of us.

I saw something where they had a rapper in bag kit. Gold teeth, a four finger ring and some other junk. Its sad. Is that what rap music has been reduced to? But like I said its all about the $. The people behind the desk will put out anything they think will sell and never mind the substance or what effect it will have on the listener. I say go after the head and the body will crumble.

Sometimes we agree, but not all rappers are a disgrace, i.e Common, Kweli,Murs, Mos Def, The Roots just to name a few, but however its still a small community of rappers that are Real Rappers not sum fake a$$ wannabe..

so how did i get to see him here in Toronto. that makes no sense. he came to Toronto and performed so why didn’t he make it in Vancouver or Calgary?
