Malicious Blogger Exposed

This is what happens to morons who create blogs to anonymously attack others. At some point, you will call out the wrong person and you will get sued. Hopefully you have enough liquid assets to cover the check that your mouth can’t cash.

For those of you who aren’t familiar with this loser, her name is Rosemary Port, and she created a blog called ‘Skanks of NYC’ with the sole purpose of blasting cover girl model Liskula Cohen because she believed Cohen was talking smack about her to her boyfriend.

According to the NY Post, Port created the blog “Skanks in NYC,” in August 2008 and posted unflattering pictures of Cohen, writing that she was “a psychotic, lying, whoring . . . skank.”

So Cohen filed a $3 million defamation of character lawsuit against Google/Blogger.com and the anonymous blogger who wrote that Cohen was a “skank,” “Ho” and “hag.” Cohen’s attorneys asked a NY judge to force Google to reveal the anonymous blogger’s name. A Manhattan judge ruled that Google had to reveal the blogger’s identity so she could be sued.

The ruling is likely to change the way Google/Blogger.com deals with malicious bloggers who use its free platform to launch attacks against private citizens and public figures.

Last night, Cohen asked her attorneys to drop the $3 million defamation suit against the unemployed, 29-year-old Port, who hired her own attorney. Port said she didn’t regret her own actions, but she regretted the court’s decision to expose her identity.

“I’m shocked that my right to privacy has been tampered with,” Port said in a statement.

PICS: Ciara Dumps Her Halle Berry Wig (But Not Her Attitude)

Pseudo singer Ciara got tired of being dissed after pretending to cut her hair into a short, cropped Halle Berry-style. Actually, it was a wig and no one was fooled except the few hard core fans she has left.

So last week, after being dumped from Britney Spear’s tour for having “personality issues” with the tour director, Ciara went back to Beyonce’s wig maker and ordered a lace front wig that Wendy Williams would be proud of.

Now there’s word that Ciara is extremely depressed and is telling friends her career is over. Apparently, being replaced on the tour by Jordin Sparks (of all people) was too much of a blow to her fragile ego.

Well, CiCi, you can’t say that you didn’t see this coming. If you want someone to blame for your current (and future) problems, you need only to look in the mirror, hon. You had a great manager and you treated her like sht. You had a great producer (Jazze Pha) and you treated him like sht. The only people who will put up with you is Jennifer and those other dck riders who will fade away once the checks stop coming in.

Moving to the west coast didn’t help your career one bit because your attitude still stinks. Oh, and how’s that modeling career working out for you?

POLL: Americans Losing Confidence in Obama

From AJC.com:

A new poll says that Americans, concerned over the future of health care reform and anxious about the growing federal budget deficit, are losing faith in President Barack Obama.

The Washington Post-ABC News survey found that less that half of Americans — 49 percent — say they believe the president will make the right decisions for the country. That’s down from 60 percent at the 100-day mark of the Obama presidency.

The poll published Friday says Obama’s overall approval is 57 percent, 12 points lower than it was at its peak in April. Fifty-three percent disapprove of the way he’s handling the budget deficit and his approval on health care continues to deteriorate.

The LightSkinded/DarkSkinded Paradox

Why so much hate for LSLH women? I get this question asked of me frequently via emails. The question stems from my use of the acronym LSLH to describe light skinned women with long hair who are revered by black men and the media as the ideal standard for black woman.

And maybe as a subconscious consequence of that the media reverence for LSLH women, we now see 90% of black women wearing long, bone straight wigs and weave, and/or buying skin lightening cream in bulk.

Thank God for women like talk show Diva Tyra Banks (and even Solange Knowles) who sees the long term hopelessness in substituting our own natural beauty in favor of a media manipulated standard of black beauty.

I totally disagree with blogger AverageBro, who, in his post about this subject, cautions his white readers to “watch this one from the sidelines,” as if white people aren’t savvy enough to understand the complex issues surrounding self-hate and media manipulation of black culture.

This isn’t about me or about black women who stand by while their men parade their LSLH chicks around them and their children. It’s about a media and society at large that attempts to subjugate strong black women by means of substituting our blackness with acceptable light skin mixed women, who then turn around and whine that black women aren’t accepting of them.

Here’s an excerpt from AverageBro’s post:

One interesting pattern I always see develop on black gossip blogs is when a black guy with some level of fame is seen out with a black woman. If the woman is lightskinned, with long hair (a term so common it even has an accepted acronym: LSLH), the guy will inevitably be pelted with all sorts of insults in the comments section about how he dislikes “real” black women, and probably wants a white girl anyway.[1] On the other hand, a black man seen with a brownskinned woman (a term that doesn’t have an acronym of its own), he’ll usually get commended for “keepin’ it real” and “staying true”.[2] For an example of this paradox, just Google the terms “NBA player’s wife” and “Denzel Washington’s wife”.

Tyra Takes To Twitter To Clear The Air About Her Hair

All day today, I tried reaching out to Tyra Banks’ people by phone and email to clear up the confusion about her hair. But, not surprisingly, my calls were not returned and my emails went unanswered. Thankfully, Tyra has a Twitter account, and about an hour ago, she tweeted this message:

To be clear about my hair, my REAL hair, I have not worn it OUTSIDE of my studio yet. If u see me on street lately, it is a weave or wig.

TYRASHOW Sept 8th will be the day u c my real hair. i have been extra careful 2 make sure i wear fake hair outside studio cuz of paparrazzi.

Did Usher’s Ex-Wife Plagiarize Blog Entry For Huffington Post?

I already knew that professional gold digger Tameka Foster ex-Glover ex-Raymond didn’t write that article for Huffington Post. That’s why I didn’t waste my time posting it. Unlike the gullible public, I knew that Tameka wasn’t articulate enough to string together a coherent paragraph unless she copied and pasted it from somewhere — or someone else helped her write it.

From BV Buzz By Jawn Murray:

When Tameka Foster posted the blog entry “She’s Pretty for a Dark-Skinned Girl…” on The Huffington Post, both celebrities and regular women alike celebrated her blog message on Twitter and Facebook.

Unbeknownst to them, while they were saluting Usher Raymond’s soon-to-be ex-wife’s essay on skin complexion, author Aisha Curry, who wrote the book ‘Pretty For a Black Girl’ (AuthorHouse/$10.49) read the piece and felt outraged that her tome had been apparently been lifted and used by Foster, who passed the work off as her own.
Read Foster’s full essay here.

“My heart sank into my stomach. All the hard work, all the sleepless nights I had endured was playing back in my head as I read this article written by a woman I didn’t even know,” Curry told BV Buzz. “Why did I feel so connected to this article? Suddenly, it came to me. It was my work! It was my work, my voice, but in her words. I was frozen. Tears began rolling down my face as I read line after line after line. I couldn’t believe it. The idea that someone could gain notoriety from an issue that I first brought to the forefront is mindboggling. People were praising her for tackling an issue that had never been exposed. Hello?!? I wrote the book on it and started it years ago. The only difference between her article and my book is she used ‘dark-skinned’ and I used ‘Black.’” READ MORE…

Sneak Preview: Avatar

Millions of James Cameron fans crashed a website last week hoping to be the first to win tickets to preview his decade-in-the making film Avatar. The movie is a blend of sci-fi and animated fantasy that looks like a ridiculous joke. Cameron can’t be serious.

The movie is 40% real life and 60% CGI, which makes the characters look deformed and very cartoonish. A decade in the making and this is the best they could come up with? Avatar, starring Sigourney Weaver, is scheduled for release in theaters in December.
