Frankie & Neffie can’t bring out the big guns?

Not one local celebrity showed up for the Frankie & Neffie premiere party in Atlanta last night. Not one — unless you call Ms. Sophia, co-host of the Frank & Wanda Show on WVEE, a celebrity.
According to Tami of Talkingwithtami.com, the club was packed, but it doesn’t take much these days to get folks to attend an event where there is the potential for mess to happen. Everybody loves mess and that’s why the airwaves are full of nig-norant shows like this one.
R&B Diva Keyshia Cole has to be happy she is no longer contributing to the ignorance. I’m sure she didn’t expect her show to give birth to this ghetto travesty.
Tami has more pics from the premiere on her blog.

Rush Limbaugh Responds To Jay Z Diss

First, Nas ethered Jay Z on a track and now Jay Z has been ethered by two right wing conservatives!
Jay Z dissed conservative talk show hosts Bill O’Reilly and Rush Limbaugh in a verse on a leaked track off his upcoming Blueprint 3 album. In “Off That” featuring rapper Drake, Jay tells O’Reilly to “fall back” and asks Limbaugh to “Get off my balls/It’s 2010, not 1864.”
O’Reilly responded by calling Jigga a “pinhead” on his popular O’Reilly Factor show on FOX on Monday. And yesterday, Limbaugh hit back at Jay Z’s diss on his popular radio show:
“I have been mentioned in a rap song by the rapper Jay-Z,” Limbaugh said. “The new song mentions me and the moderate Bill O’Reilly.” Limbaugh then actually played a clip of “Off That” before chiming back in. “As far as I know, I have never been mentioned in a rap song by anybody. It means I’ve made it — I’m now on a rap tune by the famous rapper Jay-Z.”
Limbaugh then elaborated on the reference to him in the lyric. “I would remind the rapper Jay-Z: Mr. Z, it is President Obama who wants mandated circumcision. That means if we need to save our penises from anybody, it’s Obama. I did not know I was on anybody’s b—s, either. I’m happy to know that they think I am, though.” The mention of Obama is in reference to the fact that the Center for Disease Control is considering recommending circumcision to high-risk adult men to reduce the spread of HIV, according to The New York Times. read more…
Jay Z got exactly what he wanted from Rush and Bill: attention. Unfortunately, the track is still lame.
Did The LAPD Botch The Jackson Case?

According to TMZ.com, the LAPD don’t believe that Michael Jackson’s personal physician, Dr. Conrad Murray, told the truth when he said he administered a small dosage of the sedative Propofol (Diprivan) to Jackson.
The LAPD met with Dr. Murray on two occasions after Jackson died of a cardiac arrest in his rented mansion on June 25th.
In the police search warrant affidavit, Dr. Murray told police he gave Jackson 25mg of Propofol before Jackson stopped breathing. Murray said he normally gave Jackson 50mg of Propofol, but he decreased the dosage because he feared Jackson was becoming addicted.
Online reports attributed Jackson’s death to a “lethal amount” of Propofol. The problem is the dosage of 25mg of Propofol listed in the police report is too small to cause death. An average maintenance dosage to adequately sedate an adult for hours is about 400mg (or more) per hour.
Now the police are backtracking and saying they believe Dr. Murray lied about the amount of Propofol he gave Jackson. But that amount is written in stone in the police affidavit. And you can bet that the defense attorneys for Dr. Murray will be all over that affidavit. So if Dr. Murray walks, the LAPD have no one to blame but themselves.
Chris Brown still working

After getting bitch slapped by Judge Patricia Schnegg in a L.A. courtroom yesterday, Chris Brown changed clothes and met up with friends at an L.A. recording studio. It seems CB is still recording tracks despite the fact that his career is over and no one but his hard core fans cares about him anymore.
Judge Schnegg told Brown she’d heard “chatter” that he was still stalking his ex-girlfriend Rihanna by showing up at hotels where she was staying. The judge extended Rihanna’s protection order by 5 years and imposed a limit of 100 yards (that’s 300 feet, or the length of a football field).
So many female victims of domestic abuse have fallen through the cracks over the years, but the justice system worked in Rihanna’s case.

Rihanna is very happy to be free of Chris Brown!

When is the last time you saw pop and fashion icon Rihanna cheesing this hard?
Yesterday, while woman beater Chris Brown was getting bitch slapped by a female judge, his victim Rihanna smiled broadly for the paparazzi in New York City. Rihanna is said to be extremely happy at the news that CB can’t come within 100 yards of her for 5 years! The previous distance was 10 yards, so this will severely hamper Brown’s appearances at awards shows and other industry events where Rihanna is in attendance.
The judge was absolutely correct in not lifting the protection order that put strict limits on Brown’s contact with Rihanna. Remember this was the boy who threatened to kill Rihanna as he pummeled and bit her inside a rented Lamborghini earlier this year.
Police reports which were finally released detail a murderous intent on the part of a deeply disturbed young man who realized he was losing control over a fiercely independent Rihanna.
Yesterday, Judge Patricia Schnegg sentecned Brown to 5 years probation and 180 hours of hard labor. She also warned Brown not to “harass, assault” or “threaten” Rihanna. The judge told Brown she’d heard “chatter” that Brown had been stalking Rihanna by showing up in the same hotels where she was staying.
Judge Schnegg reminded Brown that if the rumors were true he was in violation of a previous order which warned him to stay away from Rihanna.
Brown faces jail time if he breaks his 5-year probation and goes near Rihanna again. Thank God for judges like her who take domestic violence very seriously!

Ted Kennedy Dies At 77

Today the nation mourns the passing of Senator Ted Kennedy, the last surviving brother of the famous Kennedy family. Ted Kennedy was diagnosed with a malignant brain tumor after suffering seizures in 2008.
While he will be remembered as the most influential of all senators in U.S. history, some will choose to remember Mr. Kennedy as the man who stood by and did nothing while a 28-year-old teacher drowned.
On July 18, 1969, Mary Jo Kopechne attended a party in honor of his late brother Robert Kennedy on Chappaquiddick island, near Martha’s Vineyard. Some time before midnight, Mary left the party with Robert’s younger brother Teddy, who offered to drive her to catch a ferry back to the mainland. Teddy, who was drunk, made a wrong turn (so he said) and the two ended up on a narrow unlit bridge with no guardrails.
Some believe that Kennedy, who was 37 at the time, drove over the bridge to find a secluded spot to have sex with the young campaign worker. The bridge was in the opposite direction from the ferry.
Somehow, Kennedy drove the car off the bridge and they landed upside down in the dark, murky waters. Kennedy was able to free himself and swim safely to shore. But Kopechne, who was too drunk to swim, drowned in the submerged car.
This unfortunate accident would have been tucked neatly away in Teddy’s past were it not for his attempts to protect his good family name. Instead of contacting the police, Kennedy contacted several campaign aides and nothing more was said about the accident until police found Kopechne’s body the next morning. It would be hours later before the car was connected to Ted Kennedy and he finally reported the accident.
Kennedy eventually pleaded guilty to leaving the scene of an accident. And because he was a Kennedy, he received a two month suspended sentence. Kennedy’s actions forever damaged his reputation and ruined his chances of being elected president of the United States.
Ted Kennedy died yesterday at age 77. Mary Jo Kopechne would have been 68.
Chris Brown Sentenced To 5 Years Probation; Protection Order Not Lifted

Kudos to Judge Patricia Schnegg for ignoring the bigwig fatcats who sent her letters on behalf of woman beater Chris Brown. The judge sentenced him to 5 years probation and 6 months hard labor. She refused to lift the order of protection barring him from coming within 100 yards of his former girlfriend Rihanna. This is great news!
According to TMZ.com:
Judge Patricia Schnegg said during the sentencing, “I am not immune to the chatter on the airwaves.” It’s unclear if she was saying that she’s heard reports that Brown and Rihanna are still talking … or if she was just saying he needs to be careful because she watches TV and reads TMZ. To us, it sounded like the former.
Down to business, the judge sentenced Brown to perform hard labor at the Commonwealth Catholic Charities in Richmond, VA, where he must also take a 52-week domestic violence course.
The judge ruled Brown — who pleaded guilty to felony assault — must stay 100 yards away from Rihanna, unless they are both at an entertainment-related event, in which case he must stay 10 yards away. The protective order lasts 5 years.
He must provide DNA samples as requested by authorities.
Brown must also keep in touch with the Probation Department and is subject to search and seizure 24/7 for the next 5 years. He can’t own any dangerous weapons, including guns or knives.
