I see an adam’s apple, but it’s really hard to tell these days. She could just be a hermaphrodite on steroids:
The gold medal favourite in tonight’s women’s 800m World Athletics Championships race is today facing claims that she is really a man. South African Caster Semenya, 18, is set to race in tonight’s final in Berlin after sailing through a semi-final on Monday in her first major international sporting competition.
She will run at 8.35pm UK time. But the teenage sensation has sparked controversy over her strikingly muscular physique. Today officials at the world athletics body, the IAAF, revealed that it ordered her to take a gender test three weeks ago. IAAF spokesman Nick Davies confirmed the tests were taking place, though he said the results would not be confirmed for several weeks.
Until the results are confirmed, there is nothing to prevent Semenya from competing in tonight’s final, he said. He added: ‘At this moment in time we do not have any evidence to stop her running.’ READ MORE…

There is no sign of female except the pink socks in the first pic, no boobs, no fake hair, nails. Many female athletes who take roids or work with weighs lose boobs but buy the fake ones. The pick in green looks like a man but the next looks female. It must be hard emotionally to have to prove your gender because you have more similar features of the opposite sex.
I’m not an expert or anything, but why do they need to take a gender test? Can’t they just ask her to take her clothes off and then everything would be fine? I mean she’s only 18 years old and comes from a poor background in South Africa so it’s not like she could’ve afforded a sexchange.
Not sure why the test, but to visually look don’t some parts of Africa castrate and mutilate the genitles?

and still,
First of all, “private parts” do not constitute male or female. This is a rudimentary distinction, but does not acknowledge a range of developmental conditions that can cause male characteristics to develop without there needing to be male reproductive organs. The condition of pseudohermaphroditism is one where male organs develop in varying degrees, and so the absence of male organs is not proof of anything. The fact that ASA believe that “asking her to show us her private parts” will do the job suggests that they have little idea of the issues. In that case, the first quote above, regarding ASA being “certain” of her sex before sending her, is laughable. The only thing we can be certain of is that ASA have little understanding of the problem.
Second, even genetic testing cannot confirm male or female. In fact, it is so complex that to do proper sex determination testing, you have to take a multi-disciplinary approach, and make use of internal medicine specialists, gynecologists, psychologists, geneticists and endocrinologists. I am afraid that dropping your pants is not proof at all.

Dang for the last five years I’ve been trying to figure out the name of that movie “Sleep away camp.” I kept thinking it was called Camp Fear.
Anyway I almost hope she is a he, because this has to be really embarrassing for her.

I agree with you. If she is a woman, which I suspect is the case, this has to be VERY humiliating for her. I feel bad for her having to go through this. Still, she is VERY muscular for an 800 runner. I suspect she may be taking steroids. Otherwise she is doing entirely too much weight training, but then again it appears to be working for her since she is killing the competition. I guess now we will see more bulked up 800 and mile runners.
