The wheels of Change go ’round and ’round, thumpity thump, up and down:
Barack Obama’s Green Jobs adviser Van Jones has quit amid allegations that he accused the same government he works for of murdering 3,000 Americans on 9/11 just to start a war with Iraq.
Jones submitted his resignation this morning. And in doing so, he saved his friend, Obama, the embarrassment of having to fire him.
In his resignation, a bitter Jones accused health care reform opponents of mounting a vicious smear campaign against him. “They are using lies and distortions to distract and divide,” he wrote.
That must be the same type of vicious smear campaign brought against FOX News host Glenn Beck by Colorofchange.org — which was founded by Jones. The smear campaign resulted in many of Beck’s advertisers boycotting his show. How ironic that Jones’ own smear tactics came back to bite him in the end.
In videos posted on the Internet, Jones, an avowed communist and racist, called Republicans “assholes” and referred to George Bush as a “crackhead.” Jones also released an album a few years ago containing anti-American rhetoric and racist, violence inciting lyrics. Links to that album can be found all over the Internet.
Are we surprised that the Obama administration didn’t properly vet Jones who has a police record in two states?
And why are we surprised that Jones was so virulently anti-American? Isn’t Obama also anti-American and hasn’t he always surrounded himself with radical, anti-American zealots like Van Jones, Bill Ayers and Rev. Wright?
Is it any wonder then that Obama slipped this nutcase through the back door of the White House by making him a ‘czar’ instead of a cabinet member — knowing that Jones would never get Senate confirmation because all cabinet members must be approved by the Senate?
Glen Beck is somewhere smiling right now.
Van Jones Called George Bush A Crackhead
Here’s so-called “Green Czar” Van Jones, who works for the current president calling the previous president a crackhead. Now we know why Barack gave him a job that didn’t require Senate confirmation. I’m still wondering how Van, an avowed communist and racist, got top level security clearance?
Is Van Jones Next To Go Under The Wheels Of Obama’s Bus?
It sure appears so. In 2004 Oakland activist and attorney Van Jones didn’t have a clue that he would one day hold a cushy job in the White House when he signed his name to a petition.
Jones’ name appears on a “Truthers” petition for 911truth.org accusing high level government officials within then president George Bush’s administration of allowing the September 11th attacks to occur.
Conspiracy theorists have an annoying habit of ignoring actual facts and evidence and just going by their gut instincts, which is so often just plain wrong.
So fast forward to 2009 and Jones finds himself appointed the Special Advisor for Green Jobs at the White house.
When right wing bloggers dug up Jones’ signature on the Truthers petition, Jones at first claimed to have no idea how his name got on that document in 2004.
A simple check with the 911 Truthers organization proved he was lying.
Mike Berger, a spokesman for 911Truth.org, told the Washington Times via phone that all of the signers had been verified by their group. “No one’s name was put on that list without them knowing it,” he said.
Bowing to intense pressure from the media, Jones had no choice but to come clean.
Thursday evening, Jones apologized for signing the 2004 petition and said he doesn’t feel that way today and never has had such thoughts about the government causing 9/11.
Of course he’s lying. But it doesn’t matter because Jones is already halfway under the wheels of that proverbial yellow bus.
Racist Backlash Against Obama Begins
Some of you may not even notice as you go about your day preparing for the busy holiday weekend. But the public resentment toward Barack Obama that has been bubbling under the surface has finally boiled over.
The purely racist actions by local and national school systems is a sign of tumultuous times ahead for Obama and his administration. According to online reports, local school principals have ordered teachers not to show a planned Obama address to schoolchildren on Tuesday, Sept. 8.
Ruth Keenan, in her 33rd year teaching, says she was stunned to learn from her school’s principal that parents would have to be notified of plans to watch the speech. Parents who don’t want their children to hear the speech can sign a form and return it to the school.
“I was just so shocked,” said Keenan, who teaches at Booth Middle School in Fayette County. “I have never, ever even heard of getting parental approval to watch a presidential speech. It’s just outrageous to me.”
This action by the school system is of course unprecedented in history — and uncalled for. The literature that many parents objected to have been revised.
Obama planned to deliver a positive, upbeat message to the kids encouraging them to stay in school. But the speech was politicized by Obama himself when his aides insisted upon sending curriculum lessons to all schools rather than allow Obama’s message to stand on its own.
Conservatives and Republicans seized upon the literature as a bold attempt by Obama to indoctrinate the nation’s schoolchildren.
I don’t mind pointing out when Obama is wrong (as he so often is). But it’s obvious that this decision by local school administrators is purely racist and sends a signal that the seething anger of many people at the audacity of a half-black man being elected president is finally rearing its ugly head.
