Hi Sandra. I have been working so hard lately that we haven’t spoken. Just to update u. The title of my show is STILL STANDING. Its about love, real life, tragedy, triumph, my family and my journey to become the woman that I would like to be spiritually and emotionally.
It airs Oct. 27th at 10 pm right after the B.E.T. Awards. I want to thank u and your readers for always being in my corner.I even thank these who are not because as I grow closer to Christ I realize that is a part of life and harbour no ill feelings toward them. My journey may help someone because we all fall short of his grace but it’s the way you pick yourself up and move forward that’s important. All my love to you and your mom.

I only had one ditto comment on the last Monica post and it was how beautiful the kids are. I am not a stan or a fan but because she took the time to send Sandra a email I will be watching her show, it seems more reality than the others.

Yes Charles I am very much a MONICA STAN! Ive been riding with her since the begining and will continue to support her. F..K record sales! SHe can sing and all, but first and foremost Im a STAN for the person! She is a very positive and spiritual person. Always striving to be better and encouraging others to better themselves. AND she does this all while admitting to her faults! We are all on a quest towards self betterment, or should be for that matter. Monica is no exception. Nothing about her is fake or forced. If I saw the blog about Monica’s new show I don’t think I participated much in the conversation. Anywho, I read her recent article in S2S and I must say I am impressed. Monica has grown a great deal if that interview was any indication. And the family pic was OFF THE CHAIN. I don’t know if her and Rocko have grown into the role or it was the photographer’s idea, but the conservative family pic was a good look for them. Rock looked good, makeup and all. And Monica kept the gorgeous baby boys subtley hood with the fly cuts.
Anywhow, I’m really looking forward to Mo’s show and I’m kinda expecting to see a Mary J-like transformation in her. Even if I don’t I think it’s time I stop judging her for past missteps. I’m also feeling her for reaching out to Miss Sandra with the exclusive which is in essence reaching out to us, Sandra’s intimate community. Good look Mo. I’m feeling you girl.

None of those women are role models and neither is Monica. So here’s to another show that promotes having kids without husbands. No wonder so many of my teenage students are pregnant…

I wouldn’t call Frankie and Neffe roles models, but I do think there is someone out there who can relate to their struggles. If not in real life at least on the show they are dealing with some of their issues while showing they still have a ways to go like all of us. As for Monica, Tiny and Toya, I don’t think there is anything wrong with these ladies capitalizing on the “reality” craze which has become a viable genre of entertainment with bonifide stars whether we like it or not. At least Tiny and Toya’s show is not trifling and they do have a story to tell.

I appreciate that throughout you career you have always been REAL. Growth occurs over time and the topics you cover, relate to the everyday life of MANY! I can name songs on each album that hit home, so ballads and uptempo JOINTS are appreciated. All the best with the show and your life!

First of all, Monica actually has real talent. Unlike the “baddest chick” in the game, she doesn’t have to show her azz and roll around on the floor like a whore to distract from the fact that her voice is shot from singing wack azz songs. Give the Monica the mic and she can blow.
Memo to Monica: When you take family portraits for magazines and blogs, be prepared for the scrutiny. If you are good enough to lay up with and have babies but not good enough to marry, there is a problem. Playing house is not a good look so brace yourself for the negative comments.
And understand that when you put rainbow colored weaves in your hair, be prepared for the hoodrat references.
