Colon Cleansing Live On TV?
Tyra Banks is almost as bad as all these urban blogs cluttering the Internets battling for blog hits. The Tyra Show will air the first ever live colon cleansing procedure on TV. These are your people…
Only black folks waste their money on these types of scams because scammer know we are gullible.
Colon cleansing is a scam. There is no health benefits to it at all. It’s a procedure that is used in hospitals prior to gastric surgery, etc.
It is not intended to cleanse the entire colon, only about 12 inches of it. As you know, your large intestine is about 5 feet long, and your small intestine is about 20 feet long. So stop wasting your money on these scams.
Anyway, the show airs on October 16.

Did you really say Black folks waste their money on colon cleansing? I doubt that very much. This is a yt procedure all day long. A tube up your ass…um o.k Most of us don’t willingly go there.

Some black folks don’t want to go to the doctor for a serious problem. They would never go for something as elective as this.
Shauny- Auntie is partly right on this one. I am sure BOTH YT and blk folks have this procedure. I can co sign on a handful of blk folks and I know of one black clinic or office that does the procedure. One of my teachers at my old gym swore by colon cleansings. She gave me a brochure of the blk lady she went to. Please believe YT do it as well though BUT SR loves to through her ppl under the bus every chance she gets then accuses us of tearing each other down

I’d love to know if other SR members agree with Sandra that Black people are out wasting money on this crap. Do you get them? Friends? Co workers? Shauny I know ppl at work, church and the gym all black who have had it done and I even thought about it as well but I just never got that sucked in but they swear it can help you drop 5-7lbs each visit lol It doesnt cost that much from what I remember and I am cheap and my reason was being scared not cause it cost to much but I am all about some smart lypo or whatever the new procedure is called

Tyra will DO anything to get TV ratings fake azz , smdh I know several black people whom had the colon cleansing procedure done, some say it work and some say it didnt work , at one poin to time I thought about it I even made an appointment but I believe I had sooo much going on at the time I had to cancel. Its just NOT black people its YT people too Sandra, dont try to dignify this ish with RACE
I have heard of a few black people having it done (New Jersey & New York AND Wendy Williams used to swear by it on her radio show) but I agree with Sandra that there are no real health benfits to having it done unless you are being prepped for some sort of surgical procedure.

I am a believer that colon cleansing is beneficial to ones health. And it’s not just a matter of doing one thing, like this procedure here, it’s a combination of eating high fiber foods, taking fiber supplements, doing routine monthly cleanses at home that will keep the full length of your colon cleaned. It’s a constant thing, not just a one time procedure. What the medical professional doesn’t get to during a session like this, you can take care of with the various types of long-term colon cleansing kit/programs out there. some of them are 3-6 months long.
I guess I learn something new everyday. I’ve only heard of this by reading the rags saying stars have them done. I’ve never heard of anyone I know, their friends etc. getting one. It was never a topic of conversation.

That’s what I did not get, does she not have a staff for medical issues? This was not sanitary in any way. How much did they pay this woman to buy her dignity?
Ratings…
Tyra had the nastiest show the other day. It was about people being nasty and having nasty habits. One lady and her husband picked their noses and would eat it because they thought it made them healthier. This same couple would not change their underwear for days and sometimes weeks at at time.
Another chick liked to clip her toe nails and eat them and pop other peoples pimples.
The other girl liked to announce to everyone that she had to do #2.
The last guy liked to wear the same clothes and underwear for weeks straight.
I don’t even know how I made it through the show.

pinky I don’t know how you made it through the show either because I started gagging after the first couple
did it, lost 5lbs. guess it’s not for everybody. i wanted to get cleanse, i did it. the lemonade diet isn’t for everybody, yet you’ll see a beyonce or denzel fess up that it’s what they did to drop weight for a role. again, not for everybody.
on tv though, no way tyra.

@14 co-sign that it’s pretty much a way of living/eating; not a one time occurrence. i’m black and more than a handful of my family/friends watch everything they eat, take vitamins/herbs, get their colons cleansed and look very good/healthy.
@20 that lemonade diet made me crazy with cravings. i lost a few pounds…but it was just a few days before i had to bow out.
i did the lemonade diet for like 26 days i felt great i should do it again after i made it past the first day it was easy
I had it done once a few years back when I had issues with my post baby weight. And like Mrshawthorn said Wendy was swearing by them. She had it, Janet had it, Usher had… so I said the hell with it I’m getting it. I even went to where Wendy got hers done (she never revealed the place on air but the people @ the place revealed her)
I say all that to say it is a scam on white and blacks (I went to a yt neighborhood u can not find these places in the urban community) they try and get you to do all this extra shyt after… NOT! & lost the weight when I dropped that zero and got with my hero.
anyone have grandparents or parents who used to administer castor and/or cod liver oil regularly. in our house we got it 2-4 times a month. that helps the colon, the lubrication properties of those products - when done long termly. I have heard of people taking down vaseline, too.
people with the cleanest colons live the longest.
@ pinky2083, I am not a Trya fan but I am not a Oprah fan either. (I dont’t care who Wendy has on her show I am watching). I watch those two women for the “topic or the guest”. Tyra had couples on last week who were married but some of the wives were virgins because they were physically ill at the thought of having sex. One man had to basically rape his wife if he wanted some. I had to change to channel.

My momma use to make me and my siblings drink the liquid form (it tastes nasty)of cod liver oil but now i take the pill version.
Anyway tyra will do anything for shock factor (even though i stans her show)
@ anna that episode of tyra made my heart hurt because i felt bad for the women and i couldn’t imagine the pain they have been in.But one of them said there mother took them to a gynecologist at 12 and that sex was bad and not like on T.V and it was suppose to hurt. smh
