I love old school rappers who put these wack young’ns back in their lane. Most of you might be too young to remember Nikki D, the first female rapper signed to Def Jam. But in an interview with XXL magazine, she’s speaking out on a disturbing new trend of females with artificially enhanced body parts being labeled MCs.
Nicki Minaj is a lame Lil Wayne wannabe who sounds like a fool. The idiots who co-sign this tramp have no concept of what real hip hop is or they would stop looking at her fake azz long enough to actually hear her wack delivery.
No wonder hip hop is dead.

Nikki D: There aren’t any out! Who’s out? You mean, Nicki Minaj? That’s not a rapper. That’s a girl with her ass on the screen. Nice hairdo and she’s saying some things but she’s not a rapper. She’s not an MC. She’s an artist. She’s an entertainer. There’s a difference. She can go out there and open her mouth and say whatever but people ain’t listening to her. They looking at her. And rapping is about the skill. It ain’t about your fat ass. It ain’t about your set of titties. It ain’t about that long-ass weave.

I dont classify Nicki as a rapper just an entertainer neverthelest I do like her mixtape “Beam Me up Scotty” but however I saw on utube her freestyle battle and I must say she is NOT a freestyle rapper at ALL! it seems like her rhymes were rehearshed, If she is gonna try to fill the void of the female rappers she need to come Harder she has this gimmick and this gimmick will only last her for a minute or 2!

I think Nikki D is speaking the truth. The only thing is what she is saying goes for the whole music industry not just female rappers. You find the real musicians, sangers and rappers underground, you have to find them on the internet. Sex, bull crap and fake bling sells records not talent.
I’m not saying that everyone in the industry fits this mold but it’s more than half.

I am showing my age but I remember Nikki D. She is also a music executivee at Def Jam. I agree with what she says. Nicki Minaj is an entertainer. I like the way she raps. I don’t consider her a lyricist though.

There is enough room in the industry for everyone… lyrical rappers, entertainment rappers, ringtone rappers, etc.
I am glad that female rappers are even being acknowledged in the rap game…she can be fake and phoney but her freestyle skills are nice!!!

Nicki recites lines she was given, sometimes I don’t even think she understands half of the multi-syllabic words coming out of her mouth. And just because she’s the only female psuedo rap artist that’s being promoted right now, doesn’t mean she’s the best or even good. I mean if you run a race and you’re the only one running… *shrugs*

Nikki D has a point. I watched that Gucci Mane video the other night just to see and really listen for how awesome Minaj “is”. I came away with a great amount of annoyance. Like WTF.
