Ludacris Sued For Legal Fees

Don’t let the bling and the leased cars fool you: everybody is hurting in this recession. No one is ballin’ out of control like that anymore.

Especially not one of hip hop’s wealthiest rappers, Ludacris. I recall a story about how, after one of her Luda’s stripper friends got finished servicing him, he thanked her, then laid two crisp Benjamins on her nightstand and walked out. I guess those days are over.

Ludacris is noted for his philanthropic works through his non-profit Ludacris Foundation. As previously reported Luda made headlines for his call to action at the National Press club luncheon before his foundation’s annual benefit dinner. Now in light of his plight to give out money freely, a team of attorneys are taking him to court for unpaid legal fees.
Carlton Fields P.A. is suing Cris and his foundation for $61,820. The law firm maintains that it defended him during a 2007 case for personal negligence and injuries. That case involved Ludacris, his foundation and his mother, Roberta J. Shields, versus Lawrence J. Hyde.

The law firm began representation of the MC in March 2008 but ceased legal services in April 2009 after Cris failed to pay his outstanding balance.

Meth also had some legal issues last week with the IRS as well as Nas.

No wonder Meth was so mad at Kelis. Guess her check is bigger than his and she doesn’t have to pay any tax on it

$61K? Really? Ludacris should be embarrassed that he can’t pay this bill, I mean what the?

And Aunty Sandra, when you said servicing him and getting $200 I hope you mean a 15minute lap dance…

Ludacris was ranked in the Forbes top 10 money earners for rappers last year so I’m sure he isn’t sweating to pay $61k. I’m sure it’s either an oversight or he feels they don’t owe it just as most others has said.

Hey probably has the money, and just had this slip through the cracks. He doesn’t strike me as one that doesn’t save for a rainy day.

    KaraZ says:

@Missy, i’m seeking clarification… because $200 would only be impressive if she was giving him a quick lap dance; if she provided any more service than that and only got $200, she needs to get out of the sex trade.

    @karaz
seeing that she probably would have did it for free anyway she came up lol

“Servicing” equates to A LUBE-Job and IF TRUE then Baby-Gurl must be a proud member of the Head-Doctors Association

Black attorneys other than my father are incompetent

My sister found that out the hard way! I would recommend white lawyers, jewish, white, maybe indian definatley asian

@Charles, I knew that you are the girl from MTV’s Sweet 16.

    KaraZ says:

… @eastpointvet & elove, if all she got was $200 and indeed more services were provided, she should’ve have kept that tidbit to herself, because $200 again is not impressive! So one has to assume that she provides mediocre (at best) service or like i’m hoping, it was just a lap dance.

    pointhimout says:

are these service providers sure there isn’t a verbal agreement made, or an unspoken understanding that they’re working for free? i’m sure the guy has 60 grand. if he does one show, that will more than cover it, i believe.

famous people may feel like if they call you, because you’re definitely going to say you represent them to boost ur business, they shouldn’t have to pay. this type story is becoming the norm where I have to ask because who tries to get out of paying a huge bill like that?
