Morning Glory: Shennekia
Have you noticed that the chicks on Twitter with the most snobbish attitudes are the LSLH heifers who think they’re doing you a favor by allowing you to follow them?
Not one of these chicks are household names, but because they have a few thousand followers they think they’re celebrities, and therefore they don’t have to be gracious or respectful.
What ever happened to just politely saying no when someone asks you for your phone number?
Now take Shennekia, for instance. This mocha bombshell is what all of those heifers, video whores and just plain sluts on Twitter should strive to be. Not only is she beautiful, but she’s brainy too!
Unlike those sluts on Twitter who think they’re all that, Shennekia has actually accomplished something other than being a centerfold in KING magazine or carrying some rapper’s water bottle in a music video.
Here’s Shennekia’s bio:
Shennekia had been an honor roll student throughout elementary, middle, and high school. After graduating Montgomery Blair high school she attended Montgomery college for 2 semesters then transferred to The Arts Institute of Washington to pursue her career in Fashion Merchandising for buying, styling, and consulting.
Soon after she decided to take another road to double major and pursue her dream career in TV Broadcasting at CSB in MD. She is hoping to become a news broadcaster for CNN or work for E News. Shennekia’s family is from the Caribbean island called Trinidad and Tobago. While continuously seeking modeling and broadcasting opportunities, she currently works as a loan processor at a mortgage company and is also a sales specialist for Arden B. When she is not working, she enjoys traveling and spending time with her friends. She also enjoys shopping for fabulous items and the latest fashions and as well as dancing. She is a very well rounded individual and enjoys learning about different cultures all around the world.
Shennekia is currently single now and enjoys being free. When she settles she would like a man who can chill home and cook as well as go out on the town and have a good time. Since she is 5’3 she loves tall and built men. She believes that if you have a good sense of humor and can make her laugh, she will be happy.
Shennekia’s modeling career has been full of jobs that include promotional work for car shows, events, and corporate sponsors. She had her first wedding fashion show and photoshoot at the early age of seven. She also has modeled in numerous fashion shows and has had various print assignments. Some of Shennekia’s biggest accomplishments include competing in the 2004 Miss Maryland Pageant, winning DC’s Swimsuit Competition in 2008, and recently being selected to host a major magazine release party in NJ. She has also compeated in the Miss Caribbean Metro Beauty Pageant. Shennekia had made an appearance and presented an award for the 2009 DMV award in March while interviewing several local artist from the DC area.
In the near future, Shennekia has plans to finish her schooling. Additionally, she has an interest to further her modeling career and possibly do some acting down the road. Long term, she would like to have a major role in the Entertainment industry as a successful broadcaster or TV host, living in a major city in the US or Europe. She is a pretty girl, I had this argument with 50 Cent last Friday, why does the standard of beauty within our community means naked, back shots? We can say what we want about Alicia Keys, but that sexy bish has never taken a back shot picture EVER and I am so happy about that. I am not knocking her hustle she is gorgeous, but I wish more women of color will start saying no to these pictures and start putting clothes on.
I mean if the women banded together they would have no choice but to take better pictures. 50 told me this is what people want to see, but I disagree with him. I think people want to see whatever you give them and as long as it is great they will love it as well. Well I wish her well but it’s kinda too much that fresh out of highschool this is what girls want to be. You rarely ever see these girl transition over to something else, because these pictures will forever follow them.

…boo will not be getting a job at CNN anytime soon. Broadcasting is not one of those career fields you get to eventually. Trust me – I went to one of the top journalism schools in the country. You start out early and small in a small market and hope to be seen and recognized to get to the big arenas.
If she is working in mortgage lending or whatever right now – she has a MAJOR hill to climb to get to the broadcaster’s chair. Sounds like she’s accomplished going to school and getting a job like the rest of us.

This is the main reason for my new blog thegoodgirlzclub, women and young girls have to realize what you do now will effect you later. If you want to work in broadcasting, YOU do NOT take these type of pictures. These pictures will hurt your career because the broadcasting company will not want you working for them and representing there company because of this. As women we already have it hard in the work place, why make it ever harder to accomplish your goals with taking pictures.
We have to smarten up because if you give them a reason to say no, guess what they will..

Krysi I agree that it is NOT that serious and I read her full bio about her going to college and I’m sorry but I just wasn’t that impressed. I’d just like to know where it became a sin to state your opinion. I said the girl is okay. We see hundreds of females on the internet, in music videos, in magazines, etc who do the same thing. But some people want to take a personal shot at me because I feel like she ain’t doing nothing that any woman up in here can do? That’s crazy. Thanks guys, and also I think you should be just what you want, my main concern is young girls getting mislead. If you feel like having a back shot take it, however I feel like you never know who you will marry and you can believe if Michelle had a floating Back Shot Mr Obama would not have made it into office. She is a cutie, however we also can not forget, we don’t know nor can we predict what the future may hold.. If it’s her dream to get to broadcasting then continue to get there. I know some people personally who have picture’s of more than backshot’s and they are doing very well for themselves in thier career. Although there were alot of valid points made from Nichelle. “Your childhood can shape your future,but you also have the power to mold your outcome” No matter how it started.
