Earlier today, Rihanna leaked her new track “Russian Roulette” off her upcoming album ‘R’, which is slated for release November 23.
Loyal reader LaShea thinks the song’s lyrics are metaphorical as a symbol of Rihanna’s newfound freedom from her abuser, convicted felon Chris Brown. Sort of like she’s breaking free of the chains that used to bind her.
Sadly, that’s not what I’m hearing whispered around the industry.
They’re saying the rumors are true that Rihanna is still in love with Chris Brown and they still see each other despite the court ordered restraining order.

1 Toddler Dead, 1 in Critical Condition in Memphis House Fire
A 2-year-old is in a Memphis hospital in extreme critical condition after he was pulled out of a burning house in Memphis earlier today. The toddler’s 3-year-old brother was also pulled from the burning house but, later died from smoke inhalation. The children were left alone by their mother and aunt who left to drop off a friend.
The children’s aunt, Marilyn Wilson, said she had no regrets about leaving the children home alone. “I really need to get in there to see if my purse burned up. I had my Food Stamp Card and everything in there.”
No charges have been filed against the mother yet.
This is more evidence that birth control or forced abortions should be mandatory in the hood. Hoodrats who lack the common sense of a housefly or can’t afford to put food on the table, should not give birth to children.

Obama Refuses To Celebrate the Fall of the Berlin Wall
Some of you are old enough to remember then-president Ronald Reagan’s famous line “Tear down this wall!” It was a challenge to Soviet leader Mikhail Gorbachev to destroy the Berlin Wall to symbolize increased freedom in Communist Germany.
But Barack Obama has better things to do than to travel to Berlin to celebrate the 20 year anniversary of the fall of the Berlin Wall. That would cut into his court time with his man, Reggie Love. And it would leave precious little time for all those lavish parties he throws at the White House.
Instead, Obama will hop on Air Force One and travel to Oslo, Norway to accept the Nobel peace prize that he has no business winning.
In the meantime, Obama continues to stall and delay making a decision on U.S. Secretary of Defense Robert Gates’ request for more troops in Afghanistan. While Obama stalls, more American troops are dying daily in Afghanistan.
Of course Obama can’t send more troops to fight a war AND accept a Nobel peace prize at the same time, can he? That would make him look too much like someone who has no business winning a peace prize in the first place.

BET Breathes Life Back Into ‘The Game’
The cast of ‘The Game’ which has been picked up by BET after being canceled on CW, are on their way to Atlanta to appear on the Mo’Nique Show. Original cast members Pooch Hall, Hosea Chanchez and Tia Mowry are so happy to have steady paychecks coming in, they are tweeting from the plane at 30,000 feet.
I know this is as about as exciting as peeling hard boiled eggs, but what else is there to blog about?

‘Good Hair’ Bombs At the Box Office
As most of you already know, Chris Rock’s comedy/documentary on all things permed and weaved, “Good Hair” — bombed at the box office.
All the pre-hype and priceless guest appearances on mainstream talk shows didn’t help boost ticket sales as the movie came in at #14 with just under $1 million in receipts.
A-List magazine thinks the blame should fall on Rock himself.
According to A-List magazine, good ol’ word of mouth and lack of “social media” marketing killed Good Hair’s chances at the box office.
A thread on AOL Black Voices forums titled “who wants good hair to fail” summed up the feelings of black women everywhere who were offended by Chris Rock’s documentary and complained that he pandered to white women who, themselves wear weave and clips. The mag also makes the argument that Rock failed to highlight the “healthy hair” movement in black salons that push their clients away from the creamy crack (relaxers) and more toward healthier methods of hair styling.
