Source: Kandi is not raising AJ’s twins
The untimely passing of club promoter Ashley “AJ” Jewell on Friday night from injuries sustained during a fist fight has spawned numerous rumors. One of those rumors has taken on legs of its own.
A source within RHOA cast member Kandi Burruss’ camp reached out to Sandrarose.com today to dispel the rumors that Kandi had adopted her ex-fiance AJ’s twin daughters and was raising them in addition to her own daughter.
The source said Kandi never went to court seeking custody of the girls and she was not granted custody or guardianship over the girls. The children’s mother is alive and well and lives in Atlanta and loves her daughters.
Kandi seemed to confirm that in this blog post excerpt in which she mentions breaking the news of AJ’s death to her daughter Riley:
When I told my daughter Riley she just cried all morning. I didn’t know what to do or to say to make her feel better. I started wondering how his other kids were handling it. That’s one reason why I feel like he was just taken too soon. Now they have no father. That breaks me down inside. They needed more TIME.

I read an interview where she was quoted as saying she was. If that wasn’t true then she should have put a stop to those rumors then. This is ridiculous
I heard Kandi say it on Rickey Smiley as well so she confirmed the then rumor she even said she knew some ppl wldnt understand why she wld do such a thing but if she sees kids n need she will help cause she loves kids.
She also did say it in an essence interview so either the paper work wasn’t completed or somebody is lying
well prayers to all the kids, and the kid’s mother, and who ever is raising them.
She also said the twins lived with her when she was on the Wendy Williams show. Maybe they just live with her and she isn’t the guardian of them. What’s the big deal about this anyway?

when Aj was on the Rickey Smiley Morning show he also said that the twins was staying with her.
Not only that 2bme, I read an interview that AJ did and he said, “the twins were living with Kandi”.

Sandra you a sooo stretching on this one.. Have respect and let this family B.. So what the kids live with her – she never said she had a court oder/custody for the girls.. She said the girls were living with her until the mom goton her feet.. Hell I did it for my daughter brothers.. Nothing wrong with helping a sistah out in need. To be honest- ill do it again. Why should she hold a grudge and turn her back on those kids…

Also – in Sandra’s defense 1 post of his death was needed, because it’s news and we (the fam) would have had a fit if she didn’t – even the post with the link to Kandi’s letter was ok…but who cares for his kids, who he dating, why they broke up…all unnecessary information….
