After the expected GOP sweep yesterday in former Democratic strongholds of New Jersey and Virginia, it seems the Obama magic is gone.
This from the NY Post:
In fact, the elections underscored Obama’s political weakness just one year after his triumphant victory over Republican moderate John McCain.
The Obama invincibility that was so much in evidence then seems to have lost its power. People can argue the reasons why these elections, all in places Obama carried handily, were so close. But if he were the political marvel he was thought to be, these races wouldn’t have been contests, but walkovers. So one consequence of this Election Day is the end of his special political magic.
That’s no surprise — as that magic was a largely substanceless froth whipped up by campaign consultants and compliant big-media cheerleaders. (Source)

No. People just don’t like His nationality and are being influenced by other people’s hatred.
Without reading the article the answer to the question is hell to the naw. His swag is still beautifully presidential. As for the couple of losses, oh well. At least my town came out on top. Charlotte has the first democratic mayor in 22 years and he’s a black man. Yay!!!
yea no need to read the article to know he will always have crazy swag, michelle included!
Nah, he ain’t losing that swagg. That comes natural.
SWAG has nothing to do with the VA & NJ turnout.
In NJ Christie spent more on his campaign and he is in bed with all the insurance companies. I am disappointed with his victory over Corizine. Obama showing up 3 times in NJ made no diff for Corizine, he didn’t run the best campaign and he def did not get out the YOUTH vote.
I am upset bout the NJ vote, but it was close from the GO. We been BLUE for a min adn with the scandal of McGreevy and Corizine’s accident, this was only bound to happen.
Candidates can depend on the Pres for support - a full out campaign on his coat tails is IMPOSSIBLE …
he had no swagger to begin with..lol, he`s a mulatto
as for the election, i was happy to vote for the republican candidate, now virginia can go back to its roots which are low taxes= good business climate
as for new jersey, i think obama and his croonies have received a clear message, people dont want his socialist policies, period!
You know what Sandra, no matter what most of the posters on here say about your thoughts on Obama I always totally agree with you when it comes to him. I did not vote for him and I am never scared to tell anyone that. And especially here in NYC that is rarity for a young black female professsional to not have voted for him.
I am not going to vote for someone based on their skin color that to me is the height of racism and ignorance and no matter what, most people who voted for him dont want to admit the fact that they voted for him soley because A. He’s black and B. Because they hated George Bush and did not want another Republican in no matter what. I saw past his gloss and slick talk and saw him for what he was and still is- a radical socialist who wants to control every aspect of this country. I am proud of NJ and VA for standing up to his bully tactics.
And Iyonah you are so misinformed, Christie’s campaign spent almost $9 million on the election in comparison to multi millionaire Corzine who spent close to $25 million. Get your facts straight before you make judgment calls. And now that I have vented I will go make to being a silent visitor!!
Oh and one more thing, to answer your question Sandra, Obama’s swag was only apparent to the lost and misinformed. He has always been a snake to me and will remain that but oh yeah he speaks so well…for a black guy.
RachelRachel his NATIONALITY is American.
What swagga?
Frauds typically don’t have swagga.
And it is a good day to be a New Jersey resident. I cast that vote for Christie so fast…….
Anyone whom Obama supports automatically gets the thumbs down for me…but Corzine needed to go anyway.
Hmmm…I’m not American but I’m gonna say no due to the fact that I read cnn news everyday and just about 2 days ago they had an article saying that his approval rating is still over 50% and that it hasn’t fallen much since he’s been in office. They said even though people might disapprove of some of his policies, they sure do love him as a person so I take that to mean his swagga is still on point
Correction - Christie was 11.7 and Corizine was 25 mil - you were right “msluxlorraine” - and YES you can now go back to being silent.
Anti-PC - lets see if in a year you are talking the same? Daggett even would have been better then Christie. Yall will see though, just like people are seeing with Obama. Time tells the truth.
