For those who say I never write anything positive on the blog, here’s a cover story from JET magazine about the Kodjoes — the face of the new black family in America:
Celebrity couple, Boris Kodjoe and Nicole Ari Parker, has chosen to “live for their family” despite the pressures of maintaining their thriving acting careers. Married in 2005 after meeting on the set of the former Showtime TV series Soul Food, the two have ditched the bright lights of Hollywood for a much simpler life in Atlanta for the sake of their children, Sophie, 4, and Nicolas, 3. “The pull of Hollywood is so strong that sometimes your priorities are not in the right place,” says Nicole. “We wanted to make sure that we focused on our children during these delicate years.” (p. 46)

soooooooooo much. They seem to be so positive and show us how REAL BLACK LOVE should be. Kudos to Boris & Nechole. BTW, JET is like my fav black magazine. I stopped enjoying ESSENCE & EBONY along time ago. They went to mainstream for me.

Seeing Boris makes me sad my boss and good friend who was killed this august DUI arrghh LOVED Boris. It was crazy cuz last summer she went on vacay to LA and before she left was like “I’m going to meet my husband Boris” AND SHE MET HIM ON MELROSE!” Got pictures with him AND he has a brother who she said was very delicous looking also.
I GUESS that a real good WAY to keep Gabby at bay !!!

I saw them at the park across from the aquarium in ATL around the beginning of September. Our kids were playing on the playground together, but sad to say Nicole didn’t seem a bit interested in the kids if it didn’t involve fixing her daughters hair every couple of seconds. Boris on the otherhand was very hands on with the kids, and seemed to be enjoying playing with them. She’s a very pretty woman in person and Boris is well… if you ever see him in person you’ll understand!!
No shade from me they look cute as a couple and have a beautiful family and why do i feel like they were married for at least 7 or 8 yrs.(in hollywood 4yrs is like an eternity so good luck to them)

@Rhi I saw Boris in traffic one day he doesn’t do it for me though. He is a nice looking man but doesn’t make my panties moist
yeah Boris is cute but I don’t feel my stomach quiver when I look at him-but as a family they are gorgeous….may they continue to stay blessed..
I met them in DC this summer.. got a pic of them. Nicole had on cute shoes.. and I guess that’s all I’ll say for her. Boris is tall and FINE. I had my guy take the picture cause I was so nervous. I think they were dropping off their kids cause I seen them too. Good looking family.

They did date for a long time before she got knocked up and he did the right thing by marrying her. They dated since the second season of Soul Food in 2001, which contributed greatly to the end of her first marriage… but nobody talks about that anymore.

@eLove, you know we know Aunty has issues with men, most people with sense know that all men don’t cheat… but realistic people know that in the grand scheme of things a good majority of men (straight or otherwise) cheat… just like women.
