Celeb Style: There’s nothing wrong with Gabby’s style
This morning I received an email from a loyal reader who declared ‘Precious’ star Gabourey Sidibe was badly in need of a stylist. I disagree. I see nothing wrong with Gabby’s style. She’s a big gurl who represents BBW everywhere very well. Only scarecrows like that LSLH stick standing next to Gabby need a stylist because LSLH chicks automatically think they are all that and they’re not!
When is the last time YOU needed a stylist? Exactly. Chicks who automatically think they are superior to others need stylists because they want to outdo the next chick. But every day, round the way chicks like Gabby don’t have those compulsions.
Chicks like Gabby Sidibe look good in everything they wear because they are natural and comfortable in their own skin.
And it doesn’t hurt that she has a killer smile.

Point blank her fat behind need to lose some weight. Shame when you are so big you gotta dress like a much older woman. It’s not healthy for her to cart around that much weight. Her legs look like they belong to somebody’s grandma. She need to hear this raw cause her fat butt need to lose about 100 lbs.

Okay Sandra, I almost agreed with you until…… That last picture she looks like the Chicago Bears Mascot with a wig on.
And yes, she does need to lose some weight in order to be healthy. We need to stop acting like it’s okay to be big like that, it’s not healthy, and I know that thin women can be unhealthy to, put point blank she needs to lose some weight.

I am trying to figure out what’s on her left foot in the pic with the purple plaid jacket. Is it a tattoo a burn a fall leaf that got stuck to her foot while walking and stuck because she is not ashy.

As Iscream stated, If she did not look like herself she would not be a thought in anyone’s head. Luckly for her,the ones who hold her future in their hands think differently. She would not be Precious otherwise.
You dog her out with derogatory statesments and preach “WHAT SHE NEEDS TO DO” and then say it’s a concern about her health? SKINNY does not = HEALTHY.
You never know what a person’s journey may consist of. There could be a reason that the girl next to you doesn’t get her hair done. Or the dude on the corner is’nt clean shaven or the little boy down the street smells like urine. There could be reasons why her weight was not her first priority.
Can we just celebrate her success for a second.

Monique use to talk about the skinny bitc*es but is losing weight for what, to be a skinny bit*ch or to be healthy?
When Star was losing her weight Joy kept telling her that she was going to change. Star insisted that she wasn’t going to change and Joy said “you will, it’s human nature, you won’t even want to look at pics of yourself at your heaviest anymore”. When Star started losing the weight I got annoyed with her.

point Monique has said in interviews that she STILL is trying to get down to 200lbs which means she’s still 200 plus. I wouldn’t loop her in with the little girls at this point. She has said she has always said big and healthy not just a big girl. She said she wants to be 200lbs and healthy no smaller.
As far as what’s on her feet. If you look closely you will also see a glimpse of it in the second picture which makes me think it’s a tatoo.
She’s a very pretty girl who seems like she’s happy as well. I heard that she’s in a long term relationship. Yes she is a big girl but that’s what she has to deal with. When she’s ready to make the change whether it be for health reasons or her own personal reasons good luck to her.

Maybe I shouldn’t have said stylist, maybe I should have said ‘Design Team’. A stylist may have a hard time finding things for her but a designer could make clothes for her. Beautiful in her skin or not, her clothes do not flatter her shape at all. Look at Monique - she’s big and she looks nice more times than not - why can’t she hook a sista up with her glam team?

Right on Missy…well said. I always thought that was her comedic defence mechanism. She basically painted the picture of I love my fat self so your jokes and cruelty would be wasted on me. But now that she is makeing her mark she is on the slim down fast track. Just like oprah, Rosanne Bar, Rossie O’Donnel did and many other celebrities.
All I am saying is her look is what got her ON. Perhaps now she an afford to focus on things like her health more diligently now.

Being that I work in healtcare, I’m not going to sit here and act like it’s okay for people to be this big without consequences. What if she needed a major surgery done, A lot of doctors wouldn’t operate on her, they would tell her to lose the weight first. She is at risk for a lot of things, heart attack, diabetes, and etc.. This young lady needs to take her health seriously and lose some weight. It’s okay to be comfortable in your skin, but if you are dead, it want be room for you to be comfortable.
Gabby looks comfortable with herself and while that is great - yes, I’d worry about her health. Sorry, it’s not healthy to carry around excess weight like that. Diabetes risk, heart attack risk, heart disease risk - it goes on and on.
And Ms. Sandra - PLEASE tell me what LSLH woman rejected you in the past??! There was no need to diss Paula Patton just because of who her parents are and how their genes filtered down to her. So WHAT if she has a stylist? Hell, if I had Hollywood money, I’d hire somebody to find cute ish for me to wear too!

i’m not even big but it’s still hard for me to eat “properly”. what i’ve learned since i’ve been working out is that AMERICA is chock full of bad habits. i’ve learned that we have more sugar in our food, bad food is cheaper, and portion sizes are larger.

BEing that you work in healthcare I assume you have a front row seat to the sector of the disinfranchised that can’t always put their health concerns first.

@ ggouch, I have noticed that many of our healthcare workers are either obese or smokers. How are we to listen to those who take our blood pressure or perform our surgeries when they don’t take their advice. I was watching the news a few weeks ago and the Nurse’s spied on the docs and told that they were not washing their hands between paitents.

I worked with a Health Plan and there were nurses on staff. I couldn’t get over how many of these “HEALTH CARE” workers…WOMEN mind you, who would use the bathroom and simply walk out and not even run their hands across the counter to let water touch them!!… you would be amazed

Its just weight so it can be lost, she’s still young, and eventually she will want to drop the pounds because of all the attention she gets in the limelight..
Lets be real nothing is flattering once you’re over a certain size. Gabby is over that size, and pretty much whatever she wears will look like a brightly colored potato sack on her.
Anyways I hope she gets some help for her weight issues, she might need some counselling because more often than not, people who get to be that big have underlying issues that cause them to abuse their bodies to that level.

All I am saying…it would seem that in “YOUR PROFESSION” you would have an understanding of the health care system and how it effects the less fortunant people. Or those people who are not privy to information at their finger tips. Excuses are one thing. Having to choose between going to the doctor or paying your rent and feeding your children are realities that most people face.
Gabby on TMZ a few weeks ago was still driving a 1996 Honda Accord….I say that to say…priorities shift based on haves and have nots.

@point… Monique is still a big girl by any definition. But I got the sense that her skinny bytches are evil schtick was overcompensation for what was really going on with her. Then when I heard her story of sexual abuse by her brother/cousin & not being believed, it finally made sense.
I think a good majority of people who get super huge, have to have gone through some sort of emotional trauma to reach the sizes that they do. It’s no longer about being greedy and wanting too much cake, it’s about the emotions you’re trying to suppress with each bite of food.

I know, enough already. You don’t have to tell a fat person they are fat or a skinny person they are skinny or a flat chested person they are flat chested, they all know what they are. The fat person will slim down, the skinny girl age, gravity and kids can help with that and a flat chested woman will pad her bra, buy some boobs or tell everyone to go to hell.

Food addiction is equally as detrimental as drug and alcohol addiction but does not garner the same amount of attention from specialists. Choices in food cause weight gain, weight and diet can cause diabetes, diabetes can affect vital organs and cause heart problems.
Many people our cardiac patients HAD diabetes. Getting coronary artery bypass grafts by the dozen. Weight is an always will be on the forefront of my mind as far as I am concerned.
I don’t know how she can look at her naked body in the mirror and not be disgusted.

#25, Most agree that Lil Duval is beyond wack. He’s not even funny.
