No Wonder Usher Asked Tameka for a DNA Test
According to Black Celeb Kids, this here is Usher Raymond’s son Naviyd Ely Raymond — and the reason for the bust up of their marriage. The mother of course, is ex-wife Tameka Raymond. Rumor had it that Usher didn’t believe this child was his son. I don’t blame him. I would be questioning the genetics as well. Especially if I didn’t have any light skin folks in my bloodline.
Usher’s firstborn, his namesake, is the spittin’ image of him. But this kid here doesn’t resemble Usher at all. I always wondered why Usher would be seen out & about with only one his children and not the other. Naviyd is a cutie though. Too bad he’s saddled with that name. People should think before naming their kids. Naviyd will have to spell his name to everyone he meets for the rest of his life.

I was trying to figure out how to pronounce the childs name so I looked it up and his name means good news and it is pronounced naveed but they spelled it different……..
But the boy does look like Usher( but my little brother who is lighter than nayvid darkened out and looks like my older bro )and he may get darker when he gets older.

Ok, is this really over the line? This is an innocent child, should anyone, who are NOT the parents, question this child’s paternity? Its a very personal thing, and no matter if you like Tameka or Usher, some things should be left alone…just my opinion.

Ya’ll are crazy. It’s perfectly possible for a child to not resemble their parents EXACTLY. Heck, my mother-in-law is very fair-skinned and my hubby came out as chocolate as can be. She also has greenish/blue eyes and my hubby’s are brown.
Until a DNA is done, Usher needs to quit tripping and spend time with his son.

BTW both my brothers are lighter than I am and my mom is VERY dark skinned as is daddy and ALL of my 2 older children are lighter than me and I’m dark and their dad is darker than me. I guess we all have to do a paternity test SMH

Baby is too cute, I’m not gonna question paternity because I don’t care either way. The name is weird but they gotta live with it not me.
Since black folks in America are a mixed race of people, we come in all shades. Doesn’t matter how dark the parents are they can have light children. Same thing used to be said about me growing up. Both my parents are dark brown and my sisters are brown and i’m light skin with light brown hair and hazel eyes. We all got the white man’s blood through our veins even if it’s 4 generations ago, it still can show up. By the way, the baby looks like usher and he is not even that light, he will get darker as he gets older.

We had this same discussion years ago readers questioning Snoops daughters paternity. I didn’t like it then and don’t like it now. They were married there were no accusations of infidelity on her part, she was never seen in compromising pictures why would we as women question an innocent childs paternity on the permanent internet.

On topic…I’m not gonna speculate on that child’s paternity….but I have always wondered how could a woman bring a child in the world either not knowing who the father is or just outright lyin’ about it. That’s some trife ish rite there.

The whole “who light skin” - “who dark skin” mess wears me out. The Black American Negro is a mix breed, so you can come out to look like anything round here. There probably less than 5% of Black Americans that are unmixed and that number is high.

1) If it’s true that Usher doesn’t spend time with this little boy based on some assumption, even were the assumption true, he’s a pig. For one thing, he should have the class to know it aint the baby’s fault and neglecting the kid is a ****ing **** move. For another, he should have gotten a DNA test done STAT to clear it up.
2) I’m so sick of hearing this anti-lslh bs. My boyfriend is from Somalia, an area of Africa which produces really interesting shades of “negroid” people with really interesting and varied hair textures etc. He taught me a real lesson in the diversity of African genes. Kids don’t always come out looking just like their parents. But to me he favors Usher especially around the eyes. Regardless he’s a cutie pie. I just think Usher and Tameka’s marriage was doomed from the get go. Dude dissed his mother for a woman(that’s a terrible way to start a relationship) whom he probably knew deep down didn’t have his best interest at heart. I just hate kids were brought into the mix. Oh yeah Sandra how do you know Usher’s family bloodline? I’m a biology major and right now we are discussing genetics (i.e. genetics) skin color occurs randomly because of an independent assortment of genetic alleles. Basically in plain English skin color is a biological crap shoot.
