I didn’t know Akon’s brother was VP at Def Jam. Way to bring up the family. Akon, with all of his sexcapades and sowing his oats in every continent on he globe, at least mans up about family. Ugh, I said “at least” now leave me alone.

The origin of thankgsiving story is not what I’ve always heard. I heard they were starving(pilgrims) and the american indians gave them food. They had a dinner to thank them.
Tho we all know how they later showed their thanks.

If you read up on the pagan origins of Holidays you will find that most of them are contrary to what we believe now.
Jesus Christ was not born on Dec 25 we don’t know his true birthday. When the big coversion to Christianity was coming about they combined a big pagan holiday with the celebration of Jesus to move along the conversion Folks did not want to give up their big party. We all now how halloween started.

IMO that doesn’t matter. If we get a day off to cook and eat and be with family thats fine and thats what it means to me now.
