With mostly garbage Hip Hop inundating today’s radio airwaves, some of us have been able to survive the R&B drought by queuing up Sade on our iPODs and dreaming of how life used to be. Well, dream no more: Sade Adu is returning with a new album for the lover in you!
We don’t even care that the ravaging effects of Sade’s rough life at the hands of her abusive husband is etched all over her face — she’s still beautiful to us!
According to Sony, Sade’s long-awaited follow up to the almost decade old classic “Lover’s Rock” is in the can and ready to hit store shelves in February 2010.
I admit, I’m downloading the album if it leaks early, but I’m also buying two copies: one for the crib and one for the ride. Can’t wait!

I used to love Sade. “Sweetest Taboo”. Loved it. But when I went to see her in concert with India Arie, I slept through her whole show.
I just turned 30, growing up my mom was a single mother and always blasting some Sade, day dreaming about the milk man, mail man, trash man, girl just any man, shoot she was in love. Humming like a wounded darn poodle, my older siblings could not stand it.
I love Sade, once I was able to enjoy her without my mother’s howling, so I will definitely be buying her new CD.
Believe me I will enjoy sending my kids through the same hell my mother sent us through.

yes she is a long time rumored junkie. one record exec said the news already has her obit written in the UK. if you go and listen to her lyrics you will see she is talking about smack. she supposedly even used while preggers.

I had no clue she was coming back! I’m sooo glad you posted this! I have EVERY SINGLE album of hers! Not to mention all of her music is on my Zune. Sade is indeed my favorite artist and I am elated that she’s gracing the music world once again with her wonderful music.. I wouldn’t be surprised at all if this album goes platinum like the rest of her albums did…. how many artists can say that ALL of their albums sold AT LEAST 1 million? Not many. We need her back, and I’m glad she’s decided to do so. I wasn’t even born when she came out with her first album, but my mom and grandma have a great ear for music and that’s how I fell in love with her work… welcome back Sade!

I never knew she loved boy. I heard about her drug bust assumed it was weed I guess because her music is so mellow. But Kwall you’re right with those lyrics it all makes sense. And her dissapering at the height of her career. I have a DVD of her in concert she needs no help in the studio. Live sounded just like the recordings.

I heard about her new CD coming out on Tom Joyner. I am so happy. I have her greatest hits in rotation in my car. I am so ready for real music again. “Nothing Can Come Between Us” and “Paradise” are my songs. Her music is classic.
