Kate Gosselin Sinks To New Low, Blames Herself For Jon’s Bad Behavior

Reality TV mom Kate Gosselin is shouldering all the blame for her husband Jon’s bad behavior in a revealing interview during the TLC special Kate: Her Story.

This is typical of women in abusive relationships — be it verbal, mental abuse or physical abuse, the result is always the same: the woman accepts all the blame for the dysfunction in the relationship.

“I was very hard on him and I would never deny that,” said Kate in the special that aired last night.

“I was wrong to treat him that way,” she added. “Was it good, healthy and wonderful? No. Am I proud of those moments that were captured? No.”

I still wake up every day, and I think the phone will ring,” she whined, her voice cracking, “and it’ll be the old Jon.”

How pathetic. Where’s the part where she talks about how badly he treated her and how he violated their marriage vows?

Why does the woman always bend under the pressure and takes these dogs back? Did she not see Jon on Larry King two weeks ago?

She really needs therapy.

Yeah they are both looking to the camera for whatever therapy they are in need of. Both of them was BUSTED before they got married. Once they had all the kids and got some money, Lipo, Hair plugs and all that flipped them upside down.

Shaniqua from my neighborhood has 8 kids too and they didn’t give her a damn show!! Kate and Octomom need to fall back and raise their kids. Single moms have been doing it for years but you won’t see a camera following us around. Puhleease!!

Kate treated him like the 9th child. I don’t understand how he took it for so long myself. Now granted now he has far exceeded her in being the bigger ass of the Gosslings but she’s speaking the truth about how she did him on the show.

Yep. She should take some of the blame. She treated him like crap and now he has been given a little wiggle room and he went way too far. Who is married for 10 yrs. has 8 kids and leaves the family for a 22 yr. old? He should want to be by himself just for the peace and quiet. They are both equally to blame. Most ppl who hit the lotto wish they would have tore the ticket up before turning it in, I don’t think in Kate & Jon’s case that they regret the show because as quiet as we thought Jon was it was only in the presence of Kate. These two are media whores and I along with others do wish they would fight fairly. Who goes on tv for every little disagreement you have while in the process of a divorce?

I haven’t seen this “new Jon” on an interviews really, but she was pretty hard on him. A lot of episodes she would just talk talk talk and he would be mute…she would criticize him on air. Not to say that his behavior after the fact is ok…but I get what she’s saying.

That’s it right there. As much as she did not like the camera crew she had free babysitters. She is now left alone with eight kids to take care of. Her kids did not have any friends. Can you imagine each kid taking a friend to the zoo or the park with them? The crew was the kids friends. The only family members they had on the show they got rid of. Where are Kate’s friends, she was a nurse she had to of had friends or patients that became her friend(s).

Sounds to me like she may be experiencing a moment of clarity. Seeing a woman willing to ALSO admit she’s a part of a relationship problem is HUGE!!!

Most women are keyed and encouraged by other women to always deny any responsibility. Contrary to what Sandra has written the converse is more often than not true.

Men get the majority of the blame without the woman ever accepting responsibility for her own actions/behavior/attitudes that may have contributed to whatever is going on.

It’s very refreshing to see a woman step up…..Eventhough hers and his apologies and whatnot probably have more to do with TV and the cancellation of their show. Hell, I’d be patching stuff up too seeing those checks stop coming in…

i agree peachizz, she’s only doing this to keep the show going. she first tried to make him out to be the sole bad guy. she succeeded but it didn’t make him want to do the show again.

i’m tired of this bish on tv talking bad about john on every show SHE gets paid for. i guess that’s worn out and the offers have dried up so now she has to talk about something else to get paid.

I think it was some co-dependent f*ckery on their parts. Jon always sat back in the cut and let Kate work it, but when all that fame and drama started hitting, Kate got frustrated because she couldn’t handle it all alone. Then came Kate’s resentment. That’s why she treated him like a kid.

Jon wanted to be treated like an adult without having to act like one. That’s why it was so easy for him to act out with a 22 year old and be all in the streets and on camera.

Now the 22 year old is putting stops b/c she’s more grown than he is and he’s trying to clean up his act b/c he’s losing out on the fame and $$$.

They are both to blame, but I think that Jon was worse.
