Elin Woods: ”Look Ma, No Ring”
One thing you have to admire about Tiger Woods’ soon to be ex-wife Elin Nordegren-Woods is her gutsy self-respect and pride. Here is a woman who chose not to hide under a rock like her world famous serial cheater husband is currently doing.
Woods is reportedly living aboard his multi-million dollar yacht “Privacy” while dozens of women come forward with their claims of intimate affairs with the golf superstar. As a result, Woods has lost his biggest endorsement contracts, including Gillette and technological services giant Accenture. NIKE still stands by their man, but they also stood by Kobe when his one transgression became public.
In the meantime, Woods’ estranged wife Elin is out & about, handling her business — and look, she’s not wearing her wedding ring. Why should she? She’s not the one who cheated openly, wantonly and without a care with dozens of loose men while her husband and children waited at home.
Elin reportedly purchased a $1.5 million six-bedroom home in her native Sweden, sparking reports that she’s leaving the country with her children. She’s also set to rake in more than $300 million from a pre-nup agreement she signed before marrying Woods in 2004.
People say I’m a male basher. But how can you blame me for pointing out the cold, hard truth about some of these men? They make it too easy.

As much as I have ragged on Tiger, I hope he has people (good people, not yes-men) to hold him down in these hard times and point him in the right direction. Buttttt, that is what a wife is supposed to do for her partner in times of crises. Maybe he realizes that now.

Elin knew about Tiger’s wayward deek, you can’t tell me that anyone in a real loving relationship doesn’t know when their spouse strays to this level. She knew and she ignored it because her marriage was more important to her.
I seriously doubt that Elin is leaving Tiger and to be honest if I were in her shoes I doubt that I’d leave either. I don’t think infidelity is enough to break up a marriage… but I know that’s an unpopular opinion.
I like Viking wife. She isn’t having any of that “stand by your man at all costs” crap. And plus she believes in whippin that azz. Besides, they probably didn’t love each other anyways.

IDK bout all the bashing, but I do agree MEN typically make it easy to SPEAK ill of them. Why is that every man wants to have one and have another. If you are married or going to marry, don’t step outside of your relationship. Why would you commit to a person knowing your feelings are elsewhere? I agree with you. I have many times thought to myself, what if my hubby does this, how would I deal with it? And the only conclusion I keep coming to when reading these stories like the one up top is: I don’t know until I’m in that situation. I love my family and would like to think that I would be strong enough to hold it together through such a difficult time but I can’t say what I would do until (hopefully never) get there.
But I hope that he can clean up his act and fix his broken family.

@iyonah… in this case of Tiger’s other women, they were some loose puzzy tricks looking for some financial gain, commonly defined as prostitutes. No matter what Tiger was telling them, they knew he was married and had independent sources to verify if whatever story he was selling them was true (i.e tabloids, gossip rags). I mean if I’m a famous man’s side dish & he tells me he’s about to leave his wife, that’s something I can verify by picking up Page Six or visiting TMZ. These whores are not blameless.

Im all for making a marriage work but at what point do you say enough is enough. Elin KNEW Tiger was Tony The Tigering all them women. Me you >< here, but i’d include women in that too, because as quiet as it’s kept, women cheat almost as often as men do in permanent relationships. However, I do not believe that these starying bastard actually have feelings (unless you count an erection as feelings) for the outside woman (or women), it’s often just a sexual thing for them, nothing more, nothing less. Once the sex ceases in that extramarital relationship, so does the extramarital relationship, there’s no bond, just a nut.
I just keep thinking about all the stories my grandma has told me about my grandpa and his crazy ways when he was a young man. She stayed with him through his wild days and because she did, we all (their kids and grandkids) were able to know, love and be loved by the most honorable, strong, good hearted, and loving man that I had ever known in my lifetime. And because of me having him in my life, I was able to recognize my husband as such a man when he came into my life and I decided to marry him.
He (my hubby and my grandpa(RIP)are far from perfect but as my grandma told me “in a marriage there are rough times in the beginning and if you are able to work through these, your marriage is stronger because of it and the whole family is better for it”. This applies to any relationship, not only married with papers.
And yes I do believe this is not always an option but I wish more people had my grandma’s advice, as I’m sure others grandma’s have given as well.
@ Karaz … to be honest with you, I agree and disagree with you. I wouldn’t call them all loose puzzy though, as I don’t know their sexual history. Celebrity & $$$ are very persuasive, people put their pride and self esteem aside for it OFTEN. Alot of women whether “BECKY’s” or not, wouldn’t hesitate a Tiger advance due to his stature, MARRIED or not - I blame and unblame them all at the same time.

If you pride yourself on reporting facts here on SR, then please do so!
Accenture is the only company that has terminated their contract with Tiger. Gillette DID NOT TERMINATE HIS CONTRACT. They said he would not be airing any commercials and he would not be present at any speaking engagements/promotional tours on behalf of them until further notice. Translation: we know that Tiger is a cash cow and we’re not flucking with him till this sh!t blows over. And those are not his biggest contracts. Gillette only pays him $5 million a year. Nike is his biggest sponsor and EA Sports is still releasing the Tiger PGA Golf game.

The sport of golf is going to be crippled without Tiger. Even other players admit that they’re going to suffer. If any body wants to take back their spouse after infidelity, I don’t think its stupid, it’s just evidence that they’re human. I have close friends who have shared their dealings of infidelity within their marriage & I’m not the friend that counsels them to leave. I always say to pray and do what brings them the most peace. The only time I’ve ever encouraged a separation was when physical violence was involved.
As far as being pretty confident is someone else, girl people are human, they disappoint you; how many pastors, spirit-filled, sanctified and holy have cheated on their spouses? Nobody is above reproach, everyone makes mistakes, there should be room for forgiveness and reconciliation.

I’m not commenting on this topic because I’ve been a victim of serial cheating which led me to some serious soul searching to decide what the right thing to do was. I do not think women who take back cheating spouses are stupid. Sometimes it’s stronger to stay and work it out than leave and pretend it never happened. I don’t know why Elin married Tiger. That will play a big factor in her staying or going. If she married him for money then now is the perfect exit for her. If she really actually loves him, she might try to work through the rocky patch. I’ve known men (friends and family members) who have been AWFUL serial cheaters whoa fter an experience of getting caught or even just maturity, hung it up and never do it again. It’s possible. Hard to say. She met him through Jesper Parnevick(she was his kids nanny). It’s been reported that Tiger asked Jesper for over a year to meet Elin. Do they have a “marriage of convience”? Was it all for show? Others expect some ppl to marry and start a family around a certain age.

I perosnally do not believe in repairing a marriage once that marriage has been defiled. Single relationships are different in a sense that when a girl/boyfriend cheats there is a chance that you can try and work things out and it is a feel to see if this person is for you and what future you have. When you married… ALL VOWS ARE TAKEN INTO ACCOUNT!!! I do not know why married people stay trying to work shyt out. I know that when my mom and pops got seperated, went they ways then got back together to make the marriage work, it only ended in divorce. No matter how bad they tried to fix it my mom couldn’t trust my dad with is cheating or drug problem (thank God he got saved again and is sober). But no marriage is non-repairable after a cheat episode.

I don’t think anything is repairable after cheating…even the Bible says adultery is the one reason GOD will allow a divorce. If a man cheats during a relationship I think its pretty obvious what your future will be like together, if a man can’t respect your relationship when will he ever have the ability to respect your marriage? For all the ladies willing to take their cheating husband back, more power to you. If you are willing to put up with your husband’s pole poking in other women’s vajayjay, I have not problem with you. I understand trying to work out a marriage. I think people in this day and age are too quick to call it quits; HOWEVER, when a man is a serial cheater, he won’t stop as long as you continue to cosign it. There have to be consequences to our actions. It’s not about making a mistake. When we make a mistake, we ask for forgiveness, and attempt not to do it again. Isn’t that what repentance is all about? Adultery is wrong, and I’m amazed at the cavalier attitude some people (men and women) have toward it.
If your husband or wife stood before you and God and made a vow to forsake all others (I don’t even know if people are saying that anymore), and the married party commits adultery, he/she has broken that trust. Now if you are strong enough to trust your partner over and over again, that’s you. I would never allow my man to disrespect me and/or my children. There are too many diseases out there to be so careless. It takes two to make a marriage work.

Well thats probrably why I do not need to be married. While I do agree with that biblical passage, my body is my body and when I want to have sex it will be done and arranged. But I am not a sexoholic when I need to have sex all the time. I just mainly like to sit and cuddle and watch some t.v and chill. Plus summer time to me is the most time I get it on cause the weather is right and the nights are even hotter!!! But ANNNNNWAYS, point being, I might need not marry a man that wants to have sex all the time. Life isn’t black & white, again I will state that infidelity should not be enough to break up a marriage, it is however more than enough to break up a regular relationship.
A woman staying with her husband if he cheats on her doesn’t mean that she is spineless or weak, many women stay after cheating & for some it was the right decision, for others not so much. Many people say o I’d never do this, that or the other, but when push comes to shove & they find themselves in that situation, they find themselves doing what they said they’s never do. In everything, everyone should do what makes them happy & keeps them sane.
Adultery IS grounds for divorce plain and simple. All the other is can be worked out. But adultery is the ONLY way God will accept a divorce. Anything else is “of this world”
