2-Month-Old Has 20 Broken Bones; Parents Charged
A Marietta couple is being held in the Cobb County jail after their 2-month-old baby was found to have 20 broken bones and a skull fracture. A Children’s Healthcare of Atlanta employee called police after the baby was examined at the hospital on Tuesday (12/22).
Police charged Antoinette White, 22, with aggravated battery, felony cruelty to children and second-degree cruelty to children. She is being held on $100,000 bond. Her boyfriend, Kevin Straight, 32, was charged with second-degree cruelty to children. He is being held on $50,000 bond.

White, who is unemployed, and her boyfriend Straight, who works at a Cactus Car Wash, were interviewed by investigators at the Crimes Against Children Office, then arrested.
White had a black eye and other facial contusions in her mug shot, indicating she might be a victim of domestic abuse herself. Cobb police removed a 1-year-old child from her home.

If she is a victim of abuse…NOW is the time for her to speak up and remove herself from the situation. I feel so bad for that child and the mother too. We don’t know for sure what happened behind those closed doors, but I hope they throoughly investigate this.

If she suffered from DV she should have left with her baby. She could have feared for her life too. So many thoughts running through my mind. He should get shock treatment everyday and placed in a dorm not a cell with the straight men who play gay while in prison…….

I’m wondering if the boyfriend was whooping the mother’s a** while she was holding the baby, and that’s what caused the broken bones. IDK. He deserves to get f*cked up beyond recognition for this ish, and if the mother is definitely responsible, then she deserves the same ish.

Just horrible! Did it occur to anyone that maybe he caught her doing something to the baby and hit her because of that? Or maybe he was holding the baby and she started hitting him? Babies are pretty resilient, 20 broken bones and a skull fracture sounds like someone did something to the baby, doesn’t sound as if the baby was collateral damage. I’m thinking of so many things here, such as that the baby is young, maybe she has PPD and was abusing the baby and he did nothing to prevent it so that’s why he was charged but to a lesser extent. No matter what though I pray the baby gets better and never has to be in that environment again. Poor baby. SMH
