Brittany Murphy’s Husband Did Not Want Autopsy
According to TMZ.com, deceased actress Brittany Murphy’s husband, Simon Monjack, told Cedars-Sinai Medical Center he did not want an autopsy performed on his wife’s body. This is a normal reaction from grieving family members of the deceased who don’t want a loved one’s body violated.
But when someone dies under mysterious circumstances — or any reason other than natural causes — by law the coroner’s office must perform an autopsy to determine the cause of death.
It isn’t out of the ordinary for the rich to persuade their personal physicians to change a loved one’s cause of death to “natural causes” to avoid an autopsy. In fact, last night there were online reports that Murphy’s doctor attributed her cause of death to natural causes.
But according to TMZ, the autopsy is still on as scheduled.
The star of such teen angst movies as “Clueless” and “8 Mile”, was said to be very ill and vomiting uncontrollably in the hour before she suffered a heart attack and died. And family members say Murphy was being treated for flu-like symptoms. Police found “a lot” of prescription drugs in the home but nothing illegal.
Murphy was also a type II diabetic, meaning she wasn’t dependent on insulin to control her blood sugar. Chronic vomiting could lead to dehydration and diabetic ketoacidosis — a life threatening condition if left untreated.
If severe dehydration (vomiting, throwing electrolytes out of wack) or diabetic ketoacidosis were the cause of her cardiac arrest, it could be the reason her doctor said she died of natural causes.

OMG IS THAT HER HUSBAND FOR REAL? I remember when she dated Ashton Kutcher, weren’t they engaged @ some point before he married Demi Moore (pretty sure that crushed her self-esteem). Either way I hope it wasn’t drug related.
When I saw Brittany’s husband I was surprised because I didn’t know she was married……….
I think she could have died from natural causes…..no drugs…no anorexia/bulimia…..

There were rx in the house, too. Thats’ why they want to do a toxicology report, more than anything. And she was recently ‘fired’ from a recent project, although her publicist said it was an amicable parting of ways due to creative differences.
If there was nothing suspicious, she should have an autopsy, she’ll get all her body parts back, geesh. Don’t stifle science and medicine for you own selfish reason.

p.s poor gyal. I hate to speak foul on the dead, but she was notorious for abusing prescription drugs and her husband was very much of the shady sort.
I don’t see it too hard for a controlling man to find a woman whos depressed (they met after she broke an engagement) and already prone to drugs and keep her under your fingers and wait long enough o make things look legit and wack her.
I really hope that’s not the case. As much as rumors of her drug abuse were plenty, so where the ones that she was a sweet respectful woman who treated friends and employees well.

I understand he might want to protect her image in case she was using drugs b/c autopsy records are considered public records, idk something just aint right (Keith Sweat voice)….
Civil, sometimes you have to take certain things into account, in regards to death and funerals. For instance, if she is going to be cremated, or the body will be altered in a physical way that it will no longer be able to access, they have to do it. The only exception would be religious reasons.
Maybe he’s scared of what they will find for the sake of that ole insurance policy.
You know they labled DJ AM’s death as accidental, and that fool had pills in his mouth whenthey found him!

I think he is protecting her “image”. I don’t think it’s foul play. Sandra does not have him on her blog roll, but our pink haired blogger predicted earlier this month that Brittany Murphy would die the same way as MJ.

I don’t like dudes wearing the skinny jeans. Not a good look to me
LOL… coworker came in late, after me, along with 2 other people. Well she asked me to put my time in. But we have 7 mins grace, and I was here at 5 after (everyone else came in after me). Well she is super Xtian and gets convicted by God to do stuff and minister to people and share her dreams and visions with us
. So she decides to tell on herself and a couple of other people. The boss gets all in a tiff and is talking about changing up the leave policy to suit her (the boss), but then recants and lets it all slide, but then says put your time in, but then recants again, only because the timecards went in.
It’s just gotten really messy, as this one person just gets convicted and stirs up a bunch of mess, pulling everyone into it. Ignoring usually works, but every now and again, she gets that wild hair in her ass and wreaks havoc. This woman is not even a manager – just a timekeeper and scapegoat for the managers dirty work.
I see yall already cuttin up.

I’d hate to be the Devil’s advocate, cause I love God too, but he usually tells me to mind my business and he will take care of everything else. What constitutes an unhealty work environment?

@ readtheblog I bet she does. Girl I used to work @ this place and the environment was so toxic that I literally had to wipe my desk down w/some oil and pray before coming in. Seriously!!!! Anyway, chick probably is jealous and has no drive to get out as you said your path leads you out of the office. I know waiting on God to deal with folks can seem like 4-eva cuz that is my struggle. Best advice I can give you is to play everything by the book. Best thing I did at my last job was to use there own HR policies and etc against them. Study your companies policy & procedure manual and you will be ok. Never know you may just be used as a vessel in that place

This is why I continue to work where I do. The only PMS I have to worry about is mine. I don’t like working with women because they smile in your face while stabbing you in the back. Women are not dressing for success, women are trying to out dress other women. Women are too gossipy and I have worked with all men before and it was great, they treated me like a little sister.

Well he could be trying to protect her image, he could hiding something. Again all this is speculative. People need a villain I guess he is up for the part. Everyone doesn’t get an autopsy…and he wouldn’t need one if he knows why/how she died. People want an autopsy to cure their need for gossip and nosiness
#59 – Usually we all do, but there are things that cause us to otherwise, for instance, both the snitch and the boss came in late today. I, however, was on time. Do I feel the need to tell? No, becuase it isn’t my business.
Such sad news! life is not to be taken for granted. People sometimes can really underestimate how reckless they are livng untill its too late. Who knows what was going on behind closed doors in her home. I find it hard to believe a 32 year old woman’s heart would just fail for no reason….yea right.

LMAO@CivilEngineer-that is too funny!! My classmate was like that too!! He was a big guy but extremely intelligent but apparently couldn’t figure out his jean size!! LOL This is the same guy who wore nice xx-large polo shirts (ralph lauren or tommy) and when someone told him that his shirt was tight, he started to cry and said “Well I thought it was loose myself, I mean it’s a XXL.” …
Anywho…I think it’s something fishy about her death. A 32 year old having a heart attack? She’s not overweight or anything like that. She would have had to lose a lot of fluids for ketoacidosis to occur. My cousin was 29 when she died of congestive heart failure but she was really overweight (although she was a very beautiful girl). Brittany’s husband just looks like he is involved with drugs on some level.
May God rest their souls.
