Do We Really Need Another Reality Show?
According to Jawn Murray of BV Buzz, Fantasia’s new reality show is set to premiere in January on VH1. I won’t be watching, but I’m sure my readers will keep us updated on all the coonery.
The show, which Fantasia told BV Buzz about first this past spring, will show the complex and emotional life of the High Point, North Carolina-bred singer, who is working towards getting her high school equivalency diploma.
By the way, I spoke with someone in Tiny’s camp yesterday who mentioned that BET might want me to appear in an episode of The Tiny & Toya Show. Not as a cast member, but as one of the guests at Tiny’s Grand Opening of her store, which will be filmed by BET.
Wouldn’t it be funny if BET’s cameras caught me getting a pedicure at Tiny’s salon? Anyway, I’m thinking about it. I’ll let you know what I decide.

How do you have to “work towards” a GED? I had some problems getting a copy of my diploma, needed to get into school in a hurry the counseler said just got take the ged when I got to Atlanta and just went and took the test.

wiggy – you can take the GED anytime you want to but some people prepare to take it because they know they can’t pass it yet. So they take courses in each subject to become better. They have the classes in community colleges and some centers. That’s what she may be talking about having to do.
I wont watch a show with Fannie. I don’t think I’ve watched ANY EBT reality show except College Hill and stopped watching that one after VI (I did catch a few of last seasons eppys). I tried to watch Monica and Tiny and Toya. They’re o.k but can’t keep my interest.

This may be true for you. But many people attend GED classes for preparation for the test. Mostly adults who have been out of the classroom for a number of years. I was an GED instructor for 4 years. I encourage anyone who is taking the GED, SAT, GRE, and etc to take a preparatory test

How does a gossip blog enhance your critical thinking skills? Reading comprehension? Fluency skills? that Anna. My daughter was my MAJOR motivation for getting my degree! And once I went back I was mad I had put it off sooooo dayum long! Although I agree that getting an education is important. Learning the basic skills like reading, writing, math, & etc are critical to being successful on the most basic level. However, when you are a celebrity and you are rich. Education attainment is not a necessity. Most people attend college to attain an education in a specialized area in order to advance in their career and make money they would’t ordinarily make with out the degree.
MOST EDUCATION IS LEARNED OUTSIDE THE CLASSROOM…so spare me all this self righteous BS about money vs. education. At the end of the day, money is always a factor.

Too bad I missed that part. Damn I almost had my first cyper beef. I do believe that knowing the basics is not enough. A person can earn all the moeny they want from their craft but if you can’t hold a conversation or know how to mingle/work a crowd what can you add. We go to school to learn social skills. learn how to share and participate. I am not directing this at you but making a general statement. I read about too many kids who are home schooled and go off to college and they are “shell shocked”, more than the average kid.

There is nothing worse than a celeb with money who can’t speak intellegently. They have to do interviews to promote their movie, music etc. I get so tired of hearing “Ya Know What I’m saying, UM, UM, UM. and my favorite that any person on any channel and any color says: What Had Happened Was!. LOL.
