FanMAIL: XXL’s Top 10 Freshman Class (Look Who’s Not On It)
This was sent to me by a loyal reader who asked to remain anonymous. It appears to be a cover shoot that XXl magazine is working on for their Jan/Feb 2010 issue.
The Freshman class boasts such notable up-and-coming rappers as Nicki Minaj, Nipsey Hustle and Wiz Khalifa. But looks whose name did not make the list.
I’ll let my loyal reader tell it:
What’s good!!! I cant tell you how, but I got my hands on the XXL’s top freshman class. The issue is most likely going to be the Jan/Feb issue. The talk around the office is that Drake’s people didn’t think it was a good look for him to be on the cover with unproven artists, so there are some fill ins and im sure you can tell who they are. One Love p.s. I took the pics on my blackberry so they kinda blurry.
Doesn’t Drake look like his biological genes got mixed up with a rat’s?

Hip hop sucks nowadays anyway and I don’t know 99% of the people on it.
It’s probably because they don’t consider him a freshman -no matter what he puts out or not they probably still feel as though he is not new to the game.
Isn’t he label mates with Minaj? Wow, Imagine that? Oh well, whats up with the waxing and shaping of his brows? Metrosexual, you say? In this case, it’s more than appropriate.

I think he made that list last year if I’m not mistaken. I liked Nicki Minaj for like the first few minutes she was out, then I saw that lame beeyotch in concert and was through. She has no stage presence. The guys stare at her fake booty, the girls want her to sign their boobs, she makes all these crazy weird looking faces. I left that concert sooooooooooo disappointed.
Oh yeah Wiz Khalafa has been getting hyped for years now and he still hasn’t blown. I’m looking at my crystal ball and I don’t see that ish happening. Sorry bud.
J. Cole is from NC and I keep hearing about him but uh I haven’t heard any of his music.
