Angela Bassett stood for something and turned down the role that Halle Berry eventually got the Best Actress Oscar. I agree, it is sad that an actress of Angela’s calibre is playing in low-budget Twyla Perry movies. I loved the Notorious movie so I will not say she stepped down to play the role of Voletta Wallace. I feel that Angela has been black-balled since she stood up to Hollywood and would not play such a degrading role. So Halle sold her soul for Oscar gold and what movies have she played in since that time that have been worthwhile?

My daughter tutors a elementary school child and the parents allowed her access to talk/meet with the teacher about her tutees progress, my daughter said that the teacher looked like a kid, not bad to me when your are working with little ones. A bad azz kid is a bad azz kid , but I think most kids can identify with their teacher if she does not look the “the crypt keeper”.

I agree with you nsm. Teachers Rock. Why did everyone on our block have the same 2nd grade teacher(and she looked old to me then) 2 of my kids also had her for 2nd grade. She retired a few yrs. ago but only because the kids got so bad and the parent envolvement is not there anymore. She was a great teacher and lives a few blocks away from me. My BFF and I called her out of the blue on a 3 way call and she rememberd both of us and we are in our 40′s. Teachers don’t forget their students. FYI, my BFF and I are a few years apart and had her at diff times and we did not cut up until we got to high school.

Yes, to both. I was happy how that show played out. Dwayne finally stopped stalking Denise and ended up with Whitley and Rom and Med Student had a fling. It is weird how life works because Summer ended up dating Lenny K(Lisa’s ex). Remember how Jada looked way back when? She started as a “stow away student”, little with a attitude, now look how she ended up. Married to Will Smith and a powerful black couple.

My at work hubby knows “Anna doesn’t file”. When the filing builds up my kids come in to clean up our mess. My daughter also cleans the office from top to bottom once a month. He over pays them to me, but I make sure they have something to do so they can stay off my pay check and be on his.

When I was on staycation at the end of the year, I was suppose to have a review for a raise,( when I got back on Jan 5th) I was off Dec, 23-Jan 5th. The office husband called me (on staycay) to say I got my raise. 
I am his only employee and he had to do his job and my job and the J O B I created for my kids.

No it is not. I used to go downstairs to a bathroom that most people did not know about because the women’s bathroom updatirs smelled and looked horrible. I wont go into details…but Im sure you can use your imagination of things that were seen and smelled in there. My Business manager on multiple times has used the bathroom and left w/o washing her hands as well…and she does 1 and 2 there.

About the bathroom situation, at my old job, like H-Town, I had to go downstairs to the ladys room nobody knew about cuz Ive seen and smelt some horrible stuff in there. A few times I thought I walked into the mens room by accident.
