First Look At T.I. and Chris Brown in ‘Takers’
Last week your favorite blogger stood outside one of Atlanta’s most popular recording studios where the King T.I. was busy putting in work for Atlantic Records.
Within 30 minutes, the studio’s parking lot was jammed with luxury vehicles blocking in T.I.’s custom black Mercedes, which had been one of only 3 cars in the lot when I arrived.
As I stood shivering in the bitter cold, watching local DJs go inside and waiting to make my move, my cell phone rang.
Recognizing the number, I answered. It was a Grand Hustle executive on the line. He had heard that I was on a mission to secure the first photo of T.I. after his release from a federal prison to an Atlanta halfway house on Dec. 22.
The exec wanted me to reconsider getting that exclusive shot.
“I was already given clearance by a studio staffer,” I told him. I was just waiting to see who was going inside. The Grand Hustle exec pleaded his case, “just wait until this is all over with the feds then you can have all the pictures you want.”

Takers, which is produced by T.I.’s Grand Hustle films, also stars Idris Elba, Matt Dillon, Hayden Christensen, Michael Ealy and Zoe Saldana.

Looks like a “real” movie…what’s it about?
There is too much sexy in this movie. Idris Elba, Michael Ealy and Paul Walker oh my. I am going to go see this movie for the eyecandy.

I am excited about seeing this movie! Mr. Tip Harris is turning into a pretty good actor. Plus, there are some very handsome men in this movie!
T.I. is under enough scrutiny right now for being released to a half-way house. Grand Hustle is wise to not allow any photos of him be taken until this ordeal is completely over with. He is still under federal guidelines that he must adhere to. He is doing everything they are asking him to the letter.
I am glad that he is closer to his family! I’m sure Tiny and his kids are happy that he is back and closer to home.

something I learned bout dis movie is that it is produced by Morris Chestnut and TI. He is not in da movie but he said his company produced it. I can’t ewait to see all this sexiness in one movie oooohhhh…

I’ll support this one, though the idea isn’t quite original. I can stomach another heist movie.
Saw this preview early last year when TIP first got hemmed up….I figured they would release it close to his release.
A lot of fine specimens going to be in this joint…I don’t think I am going to see it with my boo. Probably my girls….I don’t want to be squirming all in my seat next to my man and all.
T.I looks nice in a suit. he just needs to bulk up a little more.
Idris always looks good and he’s a good actor. I don’t even care what the movie is about, too many fine dudes in it to not go see it.

I think I read it as March/April/May 2010….whenever TIP is completely finished with his sentence/half-way house excursion.
