I wear mine shoulder length and layered. I dont get relaxers I ger texrurizers. I have two stylists and they are actually pretty accurate. One I only let cut and color my hair and she is great for keeping hair healthy, the other does the best styles. Both are good for getting you out in a hurry.

i let the salons go back in late 2008. over a year now. i got a big ben wallace blow out ‘fro these days and a whole lotta wigs. but sometimes…to the horror of my family…i will rock the ‘fro to like the grocery store with an afro pic (the ones with the fist…) in it. my daughter HATES it when i do that. it is all braided up in cornrows this week tho. my sister came over… and told me i look very lesbun-ish…said i look like “cleo” in set it off…heffa

I wear my hair relaxed. I tend to go long period w/ out a touch up…right now its been about 13 weeks since my last touch up, it just the way i do it. I wear my hair down, pony tail, pony tail w/ bun, or pin it up. Its pretty boring, but i just down have time to put in more than a few mins into a daily style
I go to a lady near OU med center… I had a long time stylist..since highschool and she wanted to charge outragoues prices when I moved back to OK, I’ve been with my girl now for 3yrs. I’ve been shoulder length, blond, black, shaved on one side, red and now short with copper color. She’s about 47 but she knows her stuff.

Finding the perfect stylist is like looking for a gold colored needle in a haystack. I got lucky with mine. When I moved here in 2003 they were actually working in the same shop. One finally moved to my side of town and one is on the old side. But I will travel for good stylists.

I hear you. I have a lot of hair. Think Oprah length and a lil less thick. I hate doing hair with a passion. And on top of that I have two daughters who both have a headful of hair.
I used to experiment a lot with styles but now its usually flipped or bone straight or the body curls. To keep it interesting I wear the top red right now and the bottom is my natural color(black).

wit da highlights until early last year that I cut my hair that was already shoulder length and did a super short Halle Berry type of style. It was soo cute. But now my hair is neck length. Imma let it grow. I’m not doing weaves anymore. Ugh.

RTB, my stylist does press-n-curls and she does a couple of ppl who have afro’s too. If you get a wig take it in amd let someone cut it, my cousin is going thru chemo and she has a wig for every day that she had shaped and they look really natural.

I could never do weaves for some reason. In 2001 my senior yr in HS I had microbraids with my hair shoulder length. I took 17 hrs b/c it was one person. After that I said hell to the naw!!!! I cut my hair but it grows super fast…so I was like screw it…but now my goal is the middle of my back…

I just cut mine off a couple of months ago and I usually put mousse or moisturizer on it and go. But I LOVED the chick that was doing it before I cut it off! Her name is Dorma and her shop is in Del City. I used to go on Sat mornin at 6 or 7 so i wouldnt be in there long.

I don’t get the concern for her edges because she has none and hasn’t since I thought she was a bad B and that was in 7th grade. That is all!
I’m not one to knock weaves bcuz I know that it’s convenient for sistahs to have on-the-go-hair. I personally hate sitting in the shop for 6 to 8 hours for a hairstyle every week. Not Cool!!!!
