Usher said in an interview years ago that he was not Haitian and it was just a rumor. His parents are African Americans from Tennessee…meaning not of Haitian descent. Maxwell is Puerto Rican(his father)and black. Garcelle (Fancy) and Jimmy-Jean Louis(Phat Girlz actor) are both of Haitian descent and of course they proudly claim it, which they should.
The other people just cannot claim something they are not.

I’m gonna say this

After the BET awards there was an article in the paper about Haiti and how the people were eating and some people were selling mud pies..and i was like this cant be right cuz Wyclef doing all these things there for all these years … I’m sad to say the jury is still out on that…

As far as him taking expenses CAN WE ALL SAY GREEDY..if you are a mutil millionaire rapper, singer, producer, WHY would you still be taking “expenses” out of money intended for the poor..its not justifable and it you wish to justify i pity you..wyclef AND ALL THESE CELEBS ARE SUPPOSE TO BE GIVING ACCORDING TO THEIR PORTIONS AS WE ALL SHOULD..NOT ASK US TO DONATE IN THEIR NAME OR ON THEIR BEHALF. NO ARTIST THAT CAN AFFORD TO END HUNGER IN AMERICA SHOULD BE TELLING YOU TO BRING CAN FOODS TO THEIR TOUR STOPS

Now that being said..The Lord has called him (wyclef)out..and now as you can clearly see he is taking him through the storm..hopefully he recieves the messages and comes out a better man and ready to fully handle his responsibilty to the people of Haiti. My prayers are with him!

Hey Family,

I saw on the news that it is RARE that charities give %100 of the donations to the people they are serving….it’s called “overhead costs”…so if he’s paying $8,000 to folks he got working for them…I think that’s low….Do you think people working for the Red Cross getting less than that, or more?? I’ll let the family think about that one….

Maybe Wyclef only sent one plane, BECAUSE THEY ARE TURNING PLANES AROUND at Port Au Prince, b/c THERE IS NO WHERE FOR THEM TO LAND….the FAA has taken over the airport/in control of the air space, and diverting planes to Florida & the Dominican Republic.

And as far as Auntie cancelling her donation, he is about to get that back, and then some! The proceeds from the telethon that is being broadcast on ALL THE MAJOR NETWORKS, MTV VH1 and ALL THE CABLE CHANNELS on Friday is being split between 5 charities….Wyclef’s organization and the Red Cross ARE INCLUDED.

Love you Auntie, but I think you might have jumped the gun on this one…..I plan on donating as well…sometime this week…it’s between the Red Cross & Wyclef for me.

Daisy my cough was just a plug of Haitian entertainers lol..only the 1st one, Usher, i know denied his heritage for so long

Anywho, overall guys lets just donate or support however we can. My next donation of medical supplies will go to doctors without borders
