Which big time Atlanta rapper is being dragged into court once again to increase his child support payments? That is, if the process server can catch up to him. The rapper and the baby mama had reached an agreement some years ago on monthly child support payments. But now the child is older and his private school here in Atlanta is eating up much of her support which doesn’t even amount to the payments on, let’s say, a Lamborghini… No, it isn’t Yung Joc.
Also…
Which popular local radio DJ can breathe easier now that a paternity test came back negative? The baby mama in question is a local stripper. I’m not going to name the DJ because he’s a nice guy. But he also has a wife and kids sooooo he gets no points for cheating on her. I’m putting this out there in case you ladies don’t realize your men are doing a little more than just hanging out with the boys at the strip clubs.

My point is, I think, there are just as many of us who know a politician is a politician and at the end of the day regardless of where we are now… we had no confidence in thinking that it would be better today with McCain/Palin.

@Karmel I got you and I am a power to the ppl type sister so some of my friends were surprised when I didnt jump on the President hasnt done enough for black folks bandwagon. I do think we have a right to voice our issues and concerns just like any other voting block or group cause if Hillary was the President I believe womens group would stay on her front porch w/their list in hand and nobody would say a word about it. I believe we as a community need to take steps to help ourselves as well as deal with policy issues that need to be addressed and dealt with that impact us as a whole.

That makes a lot of sense about helping ourselves. The fact of the matter is that we have been infiltrated and made to hate each other….even humdreds of years later. The smartest thing ever done was to turn blacks against each other. Can you imagine the power we as a people would yield if the “crabs in the barrel” mentality ever went away?
@Htown I think crabs in the barrel is real but i also think some ppl use it anytime a black person disagrees with them and I dont think that is right/fair either. This may not be popular either but I think if we helped each other on our own then we woudlnt have so many crabs at the bottom of the barrel either per say. I heard a saying once push me and I will pull you. I have been working since I was 15 so I am not allergic to hard work but I feel some of us do get to the top and never look back and although you cant take everybody else w/you if you dont take/help anybdoy that isnt much better either IMO. I am talking about ppl that are trying to do something positive with their life. Somebody helped everybody get to the top no matter what they say and how hard they say they worked. I am working on my masters now trying to get to the next level.

No problem. I agree that too many people are allergic to hard-work and helping each other. Im 26,but Im old school. I believe it takes a village to raise a child and working hard as well. I was blessed enough to not want for anything as my fanily owned businesses, but I also have worked legally since the age of 15. I dont believe in handouts, dont get me wrong, Ive stumbled and needed help, but I felt ashamed and couldnt wait to get off. Also, I felt like Ive paid in to the system for years so a couple months is okay to use the benefits.

Any IDIOTS who thought Obama could “change” the nation in one term ,let alone one year, are delusional/gullible. I voted for Obama, but I didn’t expect America to recover during his first year in office (especially since he INHERITED 8 YEARS OF BS). How can someone reverse 8 years of devastation?! He even said himself that it may take two terms to get everything straightened out. Why do people think Obama is Superman?! Had McCain been elected, we wouldn’t be any better off than we are now. So people need to shut up and get off Obama’s nuts. America’s terrible condition didn’t happen overnight and it won’t be fixed overnight.

Daisy, girl. The barrel thing is why I moved from my hometown. Moving away doesn’t correct things or make the playing field level, but it was my escape (which I do not apologize for). I’m 33 as you know… and I’ve “officially” worked since 14, and most ppl in my world are hardworking. I look at the lazy, uninspired relics as museum pieces. I don’t understand lazy, entitled ppl. I never will. Moving on.
I’m working to help folks read. Literacy = filling out a job application and really…. literacy means knowledge on navigating the system.
