Nelly is the biggest selling rapper of the decade?
I had no clue not that I really cared that rapper Nelly outsold Jay Z, Eminem, 50 Cent, Kanye West, Lil wayne and others to be named the biggest selling rapper of the decade.
This, according to Nelly himself who performed a New Year’s Eve concert in Las Vegas along with his home boy Jermaine Dupri.
“Actual factual. It’s a lot of n****z talkin’ on it ’cause I just don’t scream on it. I am the biggest selling rap artist of the decade!,” said Nelly to the sold out crowd of revelers.
Well, good for him.

Nelly is NOT the biggest selling rapper of the decade. Eminem,of course, is #1 according to SoundScan. He sold more albums than ANY other artist. Nelly is #2.

Yes, when Cornell Haynes was on fiya in the early part of the decade, he sold a lot of albums, more albums than anyone sells now, that is for sure. I was under the impression that Eminem was the highest grossing artist of the decade in terms of sales, so Nelly may want to check his figures. But certainly he is in the top 3 top sellers.

Mirs they have had some true byches on there but the best one was when the daughter was jealous and told the mother “he probably won’t even show up anyway” and guess what???? He didn’t show up so they had the reception and the daughter was cryin and crap. The lady calls the police and reports her car stolen cause he was in the car then he calls her the next morning and said he just couldnt deal with her family and they went to Vegas and got married!

Nelly. I know he sold tons of records this decade…..I bought 5 copies of your last CD (Even though I hated it) . A lot of artist talk that noise but there’s only a few that can sell Diamond Status and release a double CD and go triple quadruple platinum with both CD’s…I need to check Em’s numbers 
because of course they don’t want to give that honor to a black rapper!

I guess it may be a form of opinions on who determines which songs/albums are classics. I am pretty sure I will not be playing “Tip Drill” or “Batter Up” for my grandkids for a representation of what hiphop was back in the day. (My grandkids will def know Common, Tupac, Biggie, Talib…..) You know since artists like Soldier Boy reps Hip Hop today…..I have to revert back to my “classics”.
