Programming Note: ‘Fantasia For Real’ Premieres Tonight

R&B Diva Fantasia is the latest celebrity to sign up for a reality show showcasing the dysfunction in black families. Fantasia For Real premieres tonight on VH1.

Singer Keyshia Cole was so disturbed by the negative impact on her family on her highly rated reality TV show on BET that she canceled the show, and has now terminated all contact with her family.

cant carry the family with you. you take care of those who had ur back from day as best you can, but u can’t support them. there is a difference. she has a daughter to set up for, so it’s crazy of her fam to want to be supported.

i couldn’t take that keyshia cole trainwreck show. neffe cried one damn time too many for me. when frankie snapped on yvonne, that really was the final straw for me. this lady took in keyshia, raised her, etc. keyshia would be a fool to cut off yvonne before frankie. naw chick, at 67, go back to dating 20 y/o’s and getting cracked out…all the while bragging **cough** embarrassing your famous daughter. damn shame. and this new sister elite? please. all yall go back to oakland or wherever you from.

Yes, I watched that show. I was a little confused with Bobby’s bubblewrap jumpsuit onesie but then I say it was part of the song. I cried when Steve was crying when Donnie came on. I love that “We fall down song” and I James Fortune.

I just watched it and it was entertaining…but i HAVE to say this….im soo sick of tv portraying black people in a negative light…Like, what is her 28 yr old brother doing living at home with no job. She looks good. Mama does look good. She lost that extra weight, got that grill fixed, got some good make-up and keeps a cute hairstyle. I see you TASIA!

All I wanna know is, will Cook make a cameo appearance?

As for Teeny, who puts gas in Teeny’s cars? Who pays the insurance? How does he drive them if he doesn’t have a drivers license? She is supporting his unlawful behavior if she bought the cars and lets him drive those cars.

Paging Attorneymom! I need some legal advice!

My coworker is pregnant, and apparently she’s the first pregnant person they’ve ever had because there is no maternity leave info. in the handbook. The executive director gave her 30 days maternity leave! I know that by law the standard is 12 weeks, but that only applies to companies with a staff of 15 (I think) or more. They’re only 6 of us here, so I know that doesn’t apply. But 30 days! We are a non-profit association (501 (c) (6)), do you think since we have this status we should abide by the standard?

I think she “Threw down” as well! Thats that southern gospel music I LOVE! That girl can sing and I love to see her get into the music. I liked the whole show. I don’t care about who man she with as long as it aint mine. I don’t have to like her as a person, she is a entertainer and I like her MUSIC! Yes, Quitta, her CD is good. Don’t like that song with her and ‘Yonce but the rest of the CD is good. Most of the songs sounds like she’s in love though but I don’t mind.

I watched the first episode and I am excited about Fantasia’s new show. It will be interesting to see how things work out with her family. Her oldest brother, Teeny, is too much. How are you going to test drive a Ferrari? You don’t have a job? Unfortunately, many times you feel obligated to help your family because they are your family. I hope that Fantasia will learn to stop enabling them. She needs Keyshia Cole’s business manager. He made her put her family on a budget. She could only spend so much per month on them.

Fannie looks like she should be co-starring in a “Sit-com” alongside Martin Lawrence. Hope her Fam’ don’t trip out like Frankie em’. And in this Reality Clip, I noticed she opens a big G.E.D. book. Blank-Stare*, I thought she got her GED years back when she was trying to get a drivers license & during her album break. I must say, her hair is beautiful.
