Secret Service Looking Into Obama Effigy Hanging

The Secret Service are investigating a report that an effigy of U.S. president Barack Obama was found hanging by a noose from a building in Plains, Georgia this weekend.

Secret Service spokesman Ed Donovan told The Associated Press that the large black doll was found Saturday morning along Main Street in the small town of Plains.

According to footage from WALB-TV, the doll was hanging by a noose in front of a red, white and blue sign that says “Plains, Georgia. Home of Jimmy Carter, our 39th President.” A witness told the television station that the doll wore a sign with Obama’s name on it.

Dang Civil, I’m from North Louisiana, what are you trying to say (kidding) but yeah, you’re probably right. I can actually think of one town where something like that would probably happen. They still have Klan rallies in the parish that I’m from so this doesn’t surprise me.

they still have the Klan here in Oklahoma and of course all up in Texas. I didn’t realize how big it was here until I saw a documentary on it

@LaTech…I meant no harm! I just remember hearing about someone driving around with a noose hanging from his truck around the time of the Jena 6 incident up there. I’m from South Louisiana and sometimes it’s just as bad…it’s hard to change what people have been raised to believe.

I am by no means throwing shade to those who reside in the south, but this is the MAIN reason I couldnt live down there. I been born and raised a city kid and the things I experienced and seen in the south boils my got damn blood…..ugh

I remember but don’t know exact dates…but yes, there were several of Bush…. try googling.

A Palin dummy (no pun intended) was hanging for days in CA during Halloween. It was very offensive and mainstream media thought it was funny. Finally, local government made the people take it down.

All I’m saying is stay consistent with your outrage to offensive activity. How can we expect better if we don’t do better.
