Insider: “If Kandi Keeps This Up, She Won’t Have Any Friends Left” *Updated*

Singer/songwriter and now reality TV personality Kandi Burruss is quickly becoming the most hated ‘Housewife’ according to a source on the production staff of the hit reality series ‘Real Housewives of Atlanta’.
Kandi’s attitude has taken an abrupt 180 degree turn and she now believes she is the star of the ‘Housewives’. In fact, the closeness between Kandi and the show’s producers has the other cast members so on edge that they have drastically altered their lifestyles out of fear of being kicked off the show.
The insider said Kim Zolciak is set to reveal her bisexuality during the new season, and cast member NeNe Leakes recently went on a crash diet. “She’s afraid she will be the one out on the curb,” said the insider, who added that no one knows who will be kicked off the show until right before the season 3 filming begins.
“Kandi has thrown a few of her close friends under the bus and the girls think she will do the same to them,” said the source. Her inner circle is dwindling due to her high and mighty attitude, according to a friend. “If Kandi keeps this up, she won’t have any friends left.”
According to the insider, more than 30 Atlanta-based industry execs, socialites and D-list celebs have interviewed for the role of ‘housewife’ on season 3. The prospects include former Soap star Victoria Rowell and industry makeup artist Dee Wales (Kevin Wales’ sister) who was interviewed last week.
The insider said the producers increased the tension between the cast members by strangely seeking Kandi’s advice and opinions. “She runs to the producers with damaging info on the cast members and on potential cast members,” said the insider. “She thinks they don’t know she’s stabbing them in the back.”
A family friend said she found it strange that Kandi is being so selfish when it was Tameka “Tiny” Cottle who suggested the show’s producers look at Kandi. She said Kandi was originally set to be a cast member on the popular Tiny & Toya show, but producers cut her. “She went crying to Tiny and it was Tiny who got her on Housewives,” said the source.
The insider said the show’s producers were also trying to figure out what Kandi’s season 3 angle will be now that her fiance AJ has passed away. Kandi tells friends she has a record deal, but the reality is she’s not signed to any label. She only has a distribution deal through Asylum/Warner Bros. — but no major album deal. “Industry execs know Kandi can’t sing,” said the source.
Kandi has even organized two “Tweet and meets” to get her followers to come out to prove to the producer’s how popular she is. “And they are falling for it hook, line and sinker.”
According to the source, Universal Records Executive VP Sylvia Rhone who was in town this past weekend, politely declined to sign Kandi.
And what happened to that Capitol Records deal that Kandi said was practically in the bag?
Last month, Kandi went on Ryan Cameron’s Show (V-103) and said she asked rapper Young Jeezy to jump on her remix. But a close friend said whenever Kandi calls Jeezy he tells her he’s “still listening” to her music.

I think Kandi does best driving the production/songwriting bus. A lot of artists try to “branch out” into other areas instead of focusing on the one thing they know they do best. Even though she had a few hits while in XScape, she clearly excels by writing and producing for other artists. This is a major example of an overachiever not realizing when it’s time to stay in one’s lane.
Lol kandi is not the best singer and I personally dont like her music, but to me, she was the best one on the housewives, nene was my favorite in the beginning but she quickly turned into my most hated on the show! Ego’s are never attractive! Kandi is a very talented song writer and in my opinion she should stick to writing!

And on a side note she is the most popular one on the show, i know that her and Kim hang out together and Lisa and Kandi are cool, they just took there kids out together.

Kandi and Kim have become good friends so I’m sure Kim stays. I don’t think they would get rid of NeNe because she brings the drama to the show. Sheree or Lisa would be the two that I think may have to watch out for getting kicked off.

To be fair, reality tv is for unknown people on the come up. Most of the other housewives (OC & NY) dont have entertainmnent jobs…or just jobs period

funny. i’m still TEAM KANDI, but i so want her to stop singing solo. there was hype and anticipation for her cd and when the show ended, there was little to no more talk of it. yeah, it was released, but kandi’s fan base isn’t strong enough to support her singing career.
i’d also like to see her write more and get off these ghetto ass songs. write the hook or verse and let that be that. as for the show, im sure these ladies’ lives are less interesting now than before the show so I can’t see how Kandi’s input could hurt any of them.

Sounds like a bunch of haters. I LOOOVED Nene in the first season, but on the second one, she became a caricature of herself. She was no longer the Nene we loved. That usually happens with people who’ve never had a taste of fame.
I really like Kandi. She seems to be the only one doing real things. What do the other women do aside from digging ( Kim, Nene, Herey) ?

wow! i never thought Kandi was that type of chick, but then again I remember reading about how Xscape broke up. so, i suppose those rumors might have been true. I am not a bit surprised. Kandi plays the nice girl role somewhat well, but she has a slick mouth and I noticed that more than twice. She says alot of mess and talks ish about others all with a smile. I personally thought she brought nothing significant to the show and half of the time I could not understand what she was saying because she could not articulate a sentence clearly.
