Rapper Fabolous attended a Night of Fashion, Music & Charity to say goodbye to “Ugly Betty” at Capitale in NYC on Saturday. Fabolous is in Atlanta to host a party at the Gold Room tonight with JD and Alex Gidewon of AG Entertainment Group. I might be there since I keep promising Elsa I will show up one of these nights.
Recording artist Ciara performed at the Arise Magazine after party at The Plaza Hotel Grand Ballroom in NYC on saturday. She tries so hard doesn’t she?

Convicted woman beaters Naomi campbell and Chris Brown show each other love at Naomi’s fashion show for Haiti relief.
The bag Naomi is wearing is the Louis Vuitton Monogram Eden Neo from the 2010 Spring/Summer Collection that will be in stores next month. It retails for $2880. There is also a backpack in that same Eden line, but I don’t think it made it into production.
Beyonce’s sister Solange Knowles also attended NY’s Fashion Week events. There’s something about Solo that just doesn’t do it for me.

The Gold Key party is for industry professionals and others who work don’t have to show up to work at any set time in the morning.

Usher Comes Out During NBA All Star Game
It was the talk of the NBA All Star game — no, not the slam dunk competition or the game itself — but the fact that R&B singer Usher apparently came out of the closet. Why he chose the All Star game to kick open the closet door, no one knows.
Rumors have swirled for years that Usher was bisexual, but nothing was ever proven — not even when he married his former stylist who everyone thought looked like a tranny.
Usher himself never denied the rumors. And it didn’t escape anyone’s notice that all of his male assistants were gay, or that he seemed to have great difficulty maintaining business or personal relationships with women, including his own mother.
I didn’t get a chance to watch the All Star game last night because I went out to dinner. But I did get text messages galore about what Usher was wearing and how he treated the All Star game like it was his own personal coming out party.
Just like the Emperor who was too stupid to see that he wore no clothes, Usher clearly thought no one would notice how foolish or gay he looked wearing leather Capri pants and a comical plastic Gladiator breastplate. But the kids were on it! DeeVAH!

Maybe Teyana Taylor Doesn’t Need the Money?
I’m getting a number of complaints from industry folk about the management of pseudo-celebrity Teyana Taylor (what does she do again?).
A local Atlanta publicist, whose client list includes some of the biggest names in urban entertainment, has repeatedly tried in vain to reach Teyana’s PR/cousin, Heather Malloy, to inquire about booking Teyana for Dallas All Star events this weekend.
It seems that Heather Malloy has deleted her company’s website and stopped answering phone calls. Even Teyana’s mom/manager is difficult to reach. What happened? Does Teyana not know that her vacuous talents are in demand at the All-Star in Dallas?
Here’s Heather’s Twitter page, which is blank. And here is a Google cache of her website, which she deleted.
Her two offices on the east and west coast are shuttered and the calls are rerouted to cell phones which go straight to voice mail. Is that any way to conduct business?
According to others I’ve talked to, Teyana’s excuse is that she’s been “going through assistants” like Skittles. Well, TT, I know you read my blog: didn’t the Jacksons teach you not to hire family members in crucial positions?
