Local Atlanta Attorney To Be Named New ‘Atlanta’ Housewife
Celebrity blogger ATLIEN got the scoop: Celebrity attorney Phaedra Parks will be named the new housewife on ‘Real Housewives of Atlanta.’ At least she’s married — and to a handsome man too.
You might recall Phaedra from the popular Tiny & Toya Show on BET. She used to represent Tiny & Toya as their attorney. Parks’ entertainment practice focuses on litigation and contract negotiations. She has served as a legal analyst for NBC and Fox News.
Parks is known around the ATL as something of a groupie since her days as Bobby Brown’s legal representative.
What does this mean for fellow cast member Kandi Burruss, who I hear Phaedra doesn’t like? I guess we’ll have to wait and see.
I just got some news that made me run to my dayum laptop! It’s been speculated for a while now, but I just got word from a SOLID source that Attorney Phaedra Parks will be joining the cast of Bravo’s The Real Housewives of Atlanta!
I was sworn to secrecy but y’all already know I can’t keep a dayum secret! I even tried to get Phaedra to confirm but she’s being all tight lipped about it. I called her last night and although she wouldn’t confirm or deny…her reaction to my question was confirmation enough.
You see…Phaedra is amongst the who’s who of this city and has touched the lives of just about everyone in the entertainment industry….including moi! She’s my secret weapon against the demons who stalk me on the site and even represented me in my battle against Usher’s ex.
When I tell you this season is gonna be off the chain…you best believe me! Phaedra ain’t no joke.
Matt Kemp: Rihanna and I Are Just Friends

It’s obvious that this publicity stunt orchestrated by Rihanna’s peeps to shut down rumors that she’s a lesbun has failed badly. Now both Rihanna and Matt Kemp’s camps are doing damage control.
Last month Rihanna and Matt Kemp were photographed sucking face in Mexico, and this month they’re “just friends.”
“I can’t get distracted by that,” Kemp said about the buzz over his Baja trip. “My job is to get my work in, which I’ve been doing. Nothing distracts me from my job, not the contract, or my personal life. When it’s time to play baseball, that’s my job. No distractions.”
Kemp said Rihanna is “just a friend,” that he was shocked that their hookup made headlines. “That wasn’t the plan,” Kemp said. “She’s just a friend, a good friend of mine and we went down to Mexico and had fun together.
“I didn’t think all that would come out of it, it just happened. I’m not used to that much attention to my personal life. It’s really not that big a deal. But in L.A., doing things here, you’re under a microscope, they’re examining everything you’re doing. It’s L.A., man, the city we live in. It is what it is. Can’t control what happens.” Read More…

Reality TV Contestant Convicted of Murder
Another reality TV contestant is in trouble with the law. Jamal Rashead TrueLove, a former contestant on VH1 Reality Show “I Love New York 2, has been convicted of murder.
Jamal Rashead Trulove, 29, of Oakland was convicted Tuesday of first-degree murder and being a felon in possession of a firearm.
Last month, Markice “Kesan” Moore who appeared on MTV’s reality show ‘From G’s To Gents,’ turned himself into Cobb County police on a charge of brutally beating and breaking the bones of his infant daughter.
Prosecutors say Trulove fatally shot 28-year-old Seu Kuka at a San Francisco public housing project in July 2007. Truelove was arrested in Monterey County on a $5 million murder warrant in October 2008.
Trulove appeared on the VH1 reality show “I Love New York 2.” The program was filmed in Los Angeles just three weeks before Kuka’s murder.
Truelove appeared on the first episode and was dismissed from the show for fighting. He could face a minimum of 50 years to life in prison when sentenced March 19.

WaPO/ABC Poll Shows Voters Losing Trust in Obama
A mysterious billboard featuring a smiling George Bush with the words “Miss me yet?” has cropped up along a roadside in Wyoming, Minnesota. No one — including the media — can figure out who paid for the billboard.
Meanwhile, U.S. president Barack Obama’s recent poll numbers show Americans losing trust in him and the Democrats on the major issues.
In recent polls, Republicans and the Democrats are now neck and neck on most of the issues that concern Americans, like jobs and the economy.
How does Obama do on the issues? He’s under water on almost all of them:
Health care – 43/53, his worst showing, with 43% strongly disapproving
Economy – 45/53, also his worst showing, with 38% strongly disapproving
Federal deficit – 40/56, 40% strongly disapproving
Creating jobs – 47/51
Threat of terrorism – 56/39, slightly improved over last two monthsOn health care, while Obama and his allies on Capitol Hill plot to get ObamaCare passed, his numbers continue to slide in what has always been a strong issue for Democrats. It doesn’t help that ObamaCare is opposed in this poll 46/49, with 38% strongly opposed as compared to 22% strongly supporting it. In all but one category, Obama has sunk far below the underwater mark, and so far, it appears that he is incapable of shifting to address his precarious position.

Celebs Out & About: Rihanna Wearing Combat Fatigues & Her Cap Tilted To The Side
A butch looking Rihanna was treated like a rock star when she touched down at Gimpo International Airport in Seoul, South Korea with her BFF Melissa early this morning while we were sleeping.
She seemed a little startled at the turn out as she waved at fans before jumping into a waiting SUV.
According to the London’s Daily Mirror (via Faded Youth), Rihanna almost got her head bashed in at a Super Bowl after party in Miami on Sunday.
The messy scene went down when Riri was chilling with a drink at Miami’s Liv club with reality star Kim Kardashian and music producer Timbaland. Within moments, five huge bottles of champagne fell down from the balcony above, one just missing Rihanna as it smashed on the floor. The troublemakers shouted ‘”Touchdown!” as each bottle shattered on the floor.
In an act of revenge, a person from Rihanna’s crew retaliated by throwing a bottle of their own –which only prompted an even bigger bottle to be hurled from above.
Finally, security poured in, blasting: “Everybody get the f*ck out! Super Bowl is ruined.”
A frightened and screaming Rihanna was ushered away.
Lil Wayne Getting Death Threats From NY Crips?
Yesterday, I received a call from an industry exec who responded to me questioning the delayed sentencing of convicted rapper Lil Wayne. The exec asked something like, “What is Lil Wayne now, a Crip or a Blood? Why was he wearing blue into court?” Then he said he’d heard that Weezy is getting death threats and he added, “The Crips are waiting for him on the inside.”
Rumors have swirled for years about Lil Wayne’s gang affiliation. The prevailing belief is that Wayne is not a member of any set but he associates mainly with the Bloods.
It all makes sense if you recall this video that was shot in December 2008 showing Lil Wayne’s SUV surrounded by G Unit’s 40 Glocc and about 30 snarling LA Crips.
According to the exec I spoke with, Lil Wayne has reason to fear for his life since he’s been getting death threats from NY Crips: his affiliation with the Bloods is well known. In a lyric from his “A Millie Sold Remix”, Wayne raps, “yup I rep that beehive, red flag on my levis.”
No one is happy to be entering the prison system, but Lil Wayne looks scared sh*tless in these pics taken of him yesterday. He looks downright shook. Is it any surprise that his attorney asked for a delay so Weezy could get dental work in Florida? Weezy and his attorneys have known about his teeth problems since last year. They had since October to get his teeth fixed.
So there has to be another reason for the 3 week delay.
Rikers Island, where Lil Wayne will call home for the next 8 months, has an equal number of Crips and Bloods. But NY has seen more Crips migrating from the west coast. Is that why Lil Wayne wore blue to his hearing in December and again yesterday?
Insider: “If Kandi Keeps This Up, She Won’t Have Any Friends Left” *Updated*

Singer/songwriter and now reality TV personality Kandi Burruss is quickly becoming the most hated ‘Housewife’ according to a source on the production staff of the hit reality series ‘Real Housewives of Atlanta’.
Kandi’s attitude has taken an abrupt 180 degree turn and she now believes she is the star of the ‘Housewives’. In fact, the closeness between Kandi and the show’s producers has the other cast members so on edge that they have drastically altered their lifestyles out of fear of being kicked off the show.
The insider said Kim Zolciak is set to reveal her bisexuality during the new season, and cast member NeNe Leakes recently went on a crash diet. “She’s afraid she will be the one out on the curb,” said the insider, who added that no one knows who will be kicked off the show until right before the season 3 filming begins.
“Kandi has thrown a few of her close friends under the bus and the girls think she will do the same to them,” said the source. Her inner circle is dwindling due to her high and mighty attitude, according to a friend. “If Kandi keeps this up, she won’t have any friends left.”
According to the insider, more than 30 Atlanta-based industry execs, socialites and D-list celebs have interviewed for the role of ‘housewife’ on season 3. The prospects include former Soap star Victoria Rowell and industry makeup artist Dee Wales (Kevin Wales’ sister) who was interviewed last week.
The insider said the producers increased the tension between the cast members by strangely seeking Kandi’s advice and opinions. “She runs to the producers with damaging info on the cast members and on potential cast members,” said the insider. “She thinks they don’t know she’s stabbing them in the back.”
