NeNe Leakes’ Son Bryson Back in Jail

That boy must love prison?

According to loyal reader Melissa, the troubled son of reality TV personality NeNe Leakes was back in the Gwinnett County jail yesterday. As you know, Bryson Rashard Bryant was jailed 3 weeks ago on traffic charges and possession of a small amount of weed.

This time, Bryant was arrested on Tuesday (Mar. 30) and booked for possession of a controlled substance (we don’t know what) and possession of a weapon by a jail inmate. A weapon in jail…? Bryant was released on bond early this morning.

We’re interested to see what NeNe will say about her wayward child this time. Remember how NeNe coddled and babied her eldest son during the first season of RHOA? Couldn’t you just see this coming?

We’ve talked about this before, how ghetto hoodrats like NeNe raise their sons like girly men instead of raising them to be real men. Well, this is often the sad result.

He needs to speak up now about whatever the problem is and get the help that he needs.
Going to jail and being locked up continuously is not a good look and it shouldn’t take all that when he can just say what it is and get some help.

Ya’ll know he gotta keep the booty-butt-pirates from off of him whilst in prison! Of course he needs a gun! Or better yet…maybe he went by T.I.’s house and borrowed one from his collection. He ain’t worried about getting locked up. He’ll get 3 months just like Clifford did and then buy a Maybach to celebrate!

And if my mama was making a fool of herself on RHOA like Nene….I’d probably be on a controlled substance or two as well.

    Let it go.

I agree Sandra. Women need to stop coddling their sons. I have a six year old son and I be damned if he is going to be on my breast forever. I can’t teach him how to be a man; that’s his daddy’s job. My husband don’t play the radio with my son and neither do I. As mothers our jobs are to nurture our sons NOT make excuses for their behavior. We sometimes over compensate with things because their fathers may not be in the picture. OK, no father find a big brother, an uncle or male you trust to be present in his life. We, women, are sometimes the reason for sorry azz men!

Cosign with both Civil and FLo!!

Besides this in my opinion is no reflection of Nene. Children tend to go in whatever direction they want to after awhile and it’s nothing anyone can do.

For instance my brother and I grew up in the same household and we turned out completely different. We took two different paths mine didn’t involve criminal activity!

Sandra you are soooooo judgemental, but I guesss thats a result of the nature of your profession….Its sad when others are soo quick to thrown the stone, before first looking in the mirror…Regardless of how well you might try to raise your child, you CAN NOT make them into the person you would want them to be…He is GROWN and regardless of the type of person you might assume NeNe is, Bryson has to make his old decisions!!! I know alot of young men that grew up in bad situations but they made the CHOICE to beat the odds against them, Bryson could have done the same….Just my two cents, take it for what it is worth….

Sandra I dont think moms shud be labeled as ‘ghetto hoodrats’ if their children ‘dont act rite’, thats a ‘simple’ thing to say… who can control what their children do when they arent with them.. NOT TO MENTION… this dude is a grown azz man! Ne Ne cant be expected to be with him every waking moment of every day.. she CAN however IMO be faulted for ‘babying’ him.. THAT’s totally on her

if this was real, she go down to the station and phuck him up on the spot, in the police station, she’ll then start to get thru to him. tell me again what was going to be her tough love lesson that she so conveniently tweeted about?

    Ms.Everything says:

I pray someone can get through to this boy before its too late and Sandra this happens in two parent wealthy families from the suburbs as well so its not just “ghetto hoodrat” mothers raising these trouble making kids. As a matter of fact upper class white families have this problem rather frequently because they have a tendency to spend money vs time on their children and the children are generally not required to do things like chores (which teach responsibility from an early age) nor are punished effectively (which teaches about consequences). The difference between those families and the “ghetto hoodrats” is that society and media would rather not shine a light on the high class white families. :coffee:

Hello All. There’s so much unnecessary killing in America today, especially in the hood. In a 7 to 8 block stretch, 10 people were shot last night in D.C. during a drive-by, (around 7:30 pm and it’s still light out!) 4 are dead, 2 critical and 3 of the one’s shot were women. Witness say they were piled up like players on a football field. Lord have mercy Jesus. What is this world coming to. Look around you, chaos, despair, death, war, floods, earthquakes, tornadoes, aliens, yes aliens. (So much we don’t know.) I wonder if our first black President will finally address this black-on-black crime in the nation’s capital. President Obama can speak on killings that happen on the other side of the world, why not in his own back yard? Take a look out your White House window Obama! And black folks, why can’t we stop killing each other, usually over NOTHING! Lord have mercy on us all.

In NeNe’s defense, last season her and Greg sat Bryson down and talked to him about following the rules of the house(evidently there are some in place), getting a job or going back to school and getting himself togeter. She also went with him on a walking tour of the campus that he was supposed to be attending. I don’t think that she coddled him too much; now if she was running around crying talking about ‘That’s my baby; he didn’t do that, he’s a good boy’, THEN I would believe that he was being coddled.

Obama can talk until he is Smurf blue in the face and that still will not make violent people stop. A person has to WANT to live in peace and have structure. His speeches have not stopped the folks overseas and darn sure won’t stop nothing over here just because he is a brotha.

POOR BRYSON. I’ve met him and he seems to be withdrawn and not happy. He could be suffering from depression. I hope he gets the help he needs. Also, he appears to have a really good nature about himself. Just like many young people…he’s having trouble adjusting to adulthood.

I think a big problem with these boys is the fact that all eyes are on the girls (because a girl can come home pregnant) and not enough time is spent instructing, disciplining, and molding the boys into men. I have too many friends with bad ass little boys who say “he’s just being a boy” when they mess up. I don’t play that I’m as hard on my son as I am my daughters. He’s being taught to cook and clean just like the girls, when he acts a fool he gets popped just like the girls, he has the “man chores” around the house like taking out the trash. When I teach them no boyfrends til hs, he gets no gf til high school, I speak of college to them everyday so they know its not an option but a requirement. But that’s just me

he don’t even need to waste his time. i much prefer him dealing with healthcare and education for those of us trying to do right. people in the trenches have been trying to tackle this issue for decades. obama can’t control what’s going on in people’s households, on television and radio, and in schools. our entire society has to change. the morality and the mores.

white kids are acting a fool too, just in a different, more discreet way. their youngsters are destroying themselves as well.

@flsun NeNe has never made excuses for her son. She has said on many occassions(including the show) she has dropped the ball and spoiled her son. She has/is worked to get him back on the right track and correct her mistakes. All she can do is try and move forward at this point she can’t change how she raised and spoiled him. I am not a parent but I wish her and others all the best. I hope Rickey Smiley is still willing to work w/her son to get him on the right track once and for all

I agree that he is a grown man and that there are so many things we can do to guid our kids in life but we cannot live their lives for them, there comes a point where they turn 18 and are grown ass adults and its out of our (parents) hands!! But whoooosssahhh I would probaby be on something to if she was my mother!!

I use to enjoy Nene but she has let her 15 minutes of rhoa blow her already big head up and now she is just too much to bear! I lost interest in the show as a whole! too fake for me!!! REALITY is suppose to be real not FAKE!!

But 4 real, I have to agree with you about the fact that many women (and 2 parent homes) are raising weak ass men these days. If you gather 10 of age males together, out of that 10, at least 5 of them will be punks!! And that’s the truth.

I agree a lot of women baby boys especially us black women. We baby these guys too much. I hate hearing women take pride in the fact that their son has like 20 different girlfriends calling at age 16. What’s the point in that? I feel that women should teach their boys how to treat women at an early age.

Also the thing about their is no solution to crime is not true. All Obama and his administration, senators, and everybody else that matters need to do is make these comfortable jails tougher. Half of these men are waiting to get locked up to avoid bills, jobs, and get free food, cable and being taken care of. Real life is too hard for these monsters so make jail even more harder. That’s the answer- bet

I remember how NeNe went in on Lindsey Lohan’s father on national tv, calling him a bad parent. Not saying she didn’t have a point about Lindsey being a whacked-out coke fiend. But, what comes around, always goes around.

She tried to create that buzz about herself by controversial. Attack Lindey Lohan all day, but attacking another person for their parenting is a low blow that has come back to bite her. Now, everyone sees she that she has raised her own son to be shiftless and as equally whack as Lindsey Lohan.
