Riker’s Guard Reveals Lil Wayne’s First Few Days in Prison
On Monday, Rapper Lil Wayne began serving a 12 month sentence for weapons possession at NY’s infamous Riker’s Island prison. With rumors of gang threats against his life weighing heavy on his mind, Wayne made the brave decision to mingle with the prison population rather than accept a cell on an isolaton ward.
Still, according to a Riker’s guard who spoke with blogger Combat Jack, Wayne has been receiving special treatment from Riker’s corrections officers, two of whom have already been written up for bending the prison’s rules for Weezy:
“…A couple of guards have been written up, only because they’ve acted like fans, having more personal interaction with Wayne than is procedure, prolly acting all star struck, which, once again, the system does it’s best to discourage… For the most part though, Wayne has been pretty quiet, staying mostly inside his jail cell. There doesn’t seem to be anyone, any faction trying to get at him in any harmful way, because he’s new and because he hasn’t violated any of the codes customary to inmate living the prison life. As I was told, it’s too early to determine how the rest of his experience will be, but so far, so good. It’s all in Lil Wayne’s hands.“
The guard also said the prison has been inundated with calls from Wayne’s camp questioning if the prison will force Wayne to cut his dreads. Prison officials say that as long as Wayne’s dreads are real (and he keeps them neat and clean) they won’t be chopped off. Hopefully, they’re real.
The NY prison system provides barbers and beauticians for the inmates to keep them looking presentable free of charge.
NeNe Leakes’ Son Bryson Arrested
The son of a RHOA cast member NeNe Leakes was released this morning from a Gwinnett County jail following an arrest for possession of less than an ounce of marijuana.
According to online reports, Bryson Rashard Bryant was picked up in Gwinnett County on March 7 for failure to appear in court on a prior charge. The marijuana was found in his possession during a routine search.

State of NY Investigating Jay Z, Beyonce Finances?
Rap mugul Jay Z, real name Shawn Carter, is having trouble finding tax shelters to hide his cash. Every business he has owned or been a part of has either shut down or is running in the red. So when a group of NY “investors” approached the lyricist about an idea to invest in a NYC casino and slot machines, Jay Z jumped at the chance.
But, according to ContactMusic, the Jigga man pulled his investment after NY gaming officials apprised him of new rules which will force all the investors to submit comprehensive records on their own finances, and those of their spouses.
According to insiders, the new rule was created specifically for Jigga and his bridezilla, Beyonce as part of an ongoing undercover probe into the couple’s shady financial dealings.
The order would have meant Jay Z and his wife Beyonce would have to turn over their income records to the state. And with Beyonce already under investigation for racketeering and other federal charges, Jay Z didn’t want to risk the state getting wind of any of his and Bey’s crooked dealings.
But once the state comes sniffing around your finances, they usually don’t back off. If they don’t get him now they will get him later.
R.I.P. Corey Haim
They’re dropping like flies: former child actor Corey Haim became the latest Hollywood prescription drug casualty. The “Lost Boys” star collapsed and died in a bedroom of his mother’s apartment early this morning. Four bottles of prescription drugs were found in the room, according to TMZ. He was 38.
Sources say Haim got out of bed just before 1 AM and collapsed in front of his mother. She called 911 at 12:53 AM and Corey was taken to the hospital where he was pronounced dead.
Corey’s mom told authorities he had been battling prescription drug addiction for years.
Authorities believe — though are not certain — Corey died of an accidental drug overdose.

L.A. Reid’s Future At Island/Def Jam Is In Doubt
According to Page Six, Island/Def Jam head honcho L.A. Reid’s future is in doubt as CEO of the label. Rumors swirled that Reid would be canned following the death of veteran Def Jam exec Shakir Stewart who took his own life in 2008 after Reid sent him home to Atlanta with orders not to return.
Last week, Reid ducked out of his commitment to be the top key note speaker at a music industry event in NYC because he didn’t want to answer questions about his future with Island Def Jam. His excuse was that one of his sons was in the hospital with a head injury. But a Def Jam rep disputed his story, saying “It was unfortunate, but he was called out of town on personal business and hopes to be able to participate in a future symposium.”
Reid is under pressure to break a cold streak following the promotion of Lucian Grainge to CEO of Universal Music Group, which owns Island Def Jam. NY Chef Serves Cheese Made From Breast Milk
Yuck. A NYC chef caused a stir in NYC today after he blogged about converting his wife’s breast milk into cheese.
Chef Daniel Angerer, owner of Klee Brasserie restaurant in Chelsea, serves diners his wife’s breast milk in cheese appetizers — and they love it. “The phone was ringing off the hook,” the chef said. “So I prepared a little canapé of breast-milk cheese with figs and Hungarian pepper.”
“It tastes like cow’s-milk cheese, kind of sweet,” he told The NY Post.
The flavor depends on what the cheese is served with — Angerer recommends a Riesling — and “what the mother eats,” said Angerer, who once bested Bobby Flay on TV’s “Iron Chef.”
Breast milk doesn’t curdle well due to its low protein content, so a little moo juice has to be added to round out the texture, Angerer said.
At least he’s honest about what he’s putting in his cheese. You don’t know what “extra” ingredients are being slipped into your food when you eat out.
After the NY Post brought the natural dairy cheese to the attention of the NY public health board, Angerer was told to refrain from serving any more human breast milk cheese to his diners — even though there’s no ordinance against it.
“The restaurant knows that cheese made from breast milk is not for public consumption, whether sold or given away,” a spokeswoman for the city Department of Health said.
