Tiny To Keisha: ‘Baby, You Can Drive My Car’
Good friends are hard to come by. And they don’t come any better than Keisha, Tameka “Tiny” Cottle’s best friend. In fact, the two women once formed a singing group that is now defunct. Tiny made sure Keisha had a part in her reality series Tiny and Toya, and The OMG Girls are Tiny and Keisha’s group. The two women are so close that Tiny trusts Keisha with her children (Keisha often baby sits King and Major), the keys to her mansion and the keys to her cars.
Between them, Tiny and T.I. own or lease at least 6 luxury vehicles (maybe more). And while some car owners might balk at letting just anyone drive their high priced vehicles, Tiny doesn’t think twice about tossing Keisha the keys to her new Porsche, Range Rover, Bentley or Mercedes Benz.
But that doesn’t sit well with a family member who recently groused to friends that there were “no cars left at the house” for her to drive because Keisha took off in the last whip, so the family member was basically stranded at the mansion without a ride. Even if there was a car in one of the six garages, this particular family member is not allowed to drive any of them even though she’s over 18. We’re not sure why.

Wireimage referred to professional beard, Amber Rose, as an ‘actress’ in the caption beneath this photo. She’s an actress alright. As far as I can tell Amber wasn’t up for any awards. Anyway, she attended the 2010 Vanity Fair Oscar Party in Hollywood last night when she was financially obligated to be somewhere else. I hope she got paid to be at the Oscar party? She finally got into Atlanta at 6 a.m. this morning. I hope she gets her rest for tonight’s Key Club party at the Gold Room? If you’re wondering why I’m rambling, I’m dedicating a post to Amber tomorrow that will explain everything. She goes on full blast so you’ll want to check back then.

Oscar winner Mo’Nique and her husband Sid Hicks arriving at the 82nd Annual Academy Awards in Hollywood yesterday.
Actress Gabrielle Sidibe lost the best actress Oscar to Sandra Bullock. But we love her anyway.
Some say ‘Precious’ director Lee Daniels’ diva attitude cost him the Oscar for best director. Daniels took his daughter Clara as his date to the Academy Awards last night (how’s He doin?).

PICS: Cash Money vs. Derrty Ent Basketball Classic
Bow Wow and Cash Money’s basketball team beat trash talking Nelly and his Derrty Entertainment by 5 points to win the Cash Money vs. Derrty Money Basketball tour in Jackson, Mississippi at Jackson State University over the weekend. As you know, Bow Wow is signed to Cash Money Records.
Slim (no, not Vivica’s Slimm) and Loose Cannon Entertainment presented the basketball Classic in Jackson, MS. The lovely Tambra Cherie (pictured above with Nelly) of CW’s Admission Granted, and ExclusiveAccess.net were able to get in and get a few pics of the night.
In case you’re wondering, yes, Bow Wow flew his ex-girlfriend Angela Simmons in to attend the game and spend some time with him. I checked with Bow Wow’s camp, and, yes they are back together. So ignore any denials that you might see on his or Angela’s Twitter pages.
Spies say Angela clapped and cheered as Bow made lay up after lay up (his jump shots banged off the rim and his three point game needs work). After the game, Bow Wow and Angela were surrounded by hulking bodyguards who barked at photographers trying to get shots of the happy couple. Angela and Bow Wow chilled at Dreamz in Jackson to finish off the night.
I like them together. Apparently, so did Bow Wow who took to his Twitter page recently to profess his love for Angela. She must have had a change of heart — and dumped her boyfriend — to take Bow Weezy back. Black Love is a beautiful thing! Bow Wow is learning and growing and he’s maturing at an alarming rate. Maybe because his mom, Teresa Caldwell, is on Twitter now. Knowing your mom reads your tweets makes all the difference in a young thug’s behavior.

Mo’Nique Wins Best Supporting Actress Oscar
Comedian turned TV talk show host Mo’Nique became only the fourth black woman in history to win a coveted Oscar award last night during the 82nd Annual Academy Awards held in Hollywood. The other 3 actresses to win Academy awards are Hattie McDaniel (the first black male or female to win an Oscar), Whoopi Goldberg, Halle Berry and Jennifer Hudson.
Mo’Nique, who won for her searing dramatic portrayal of an abusive welfare mother in ‘Precious’, also became the first stand up comedienne to win an Oscar. After a rumored falling out with down low director Lee Daniels, Mo’Nique, 42, refused to help promote the film last year leading to speculation that she wanted to be paid to promote the film along with co-stars Gabourey Sidibe and Mariah Carey.
Some say it may have been Daniels diva attitude and egomania that cost him the Oscar. Backstage at the Indie Awards on Friday, Daniels said, “We’ve won already,” when asked about his Oscar chances.
Mo’Nique’s deliberate omission of Daniels’ name in her acceptance speech drew this side eye glance from veteran actor Samuel Jackson which lit up Twitter.com last night and became a trending topic.
Sadly, Sidibe, 26, failed in her bid to become the youngest Oscar winner in the Best Actress category for her leading role in ‘Precious’. It just wasn’t her time as she lost to Sandra Bullock who took home the trophy for her heartfelt performance in the tearjerker ‘The Blind Side.’
Bullock also won a Razzie for the same performance, and made history by becoming the first actress to win both the Razzie and an Oscar on the same weekend.
Surprisingly, a movie that nobody saw, ‘The Hurt Locker’ upset ‘Avatar’ for the Best Picture Oscar. In what will certainly be viewed as a snub to the legendary director, James cameron — his ex-wife, Kathryn Bigelow, won the Oscar for best director. Cameron, who sat behind Bigelow, said, “Yes, yes” and gave her a standing ovation as she accepted her first ever Oscar.

R&B Singer D’Angelo Arrested For Solicitation
R&B singer D’Angelo (whose real name is Michael Eugene Archer), was arrested early Saturday in Greenwich Village, NY for soliciting an undercover policewoman for sex. There is no truth to the rumor that the policewoman was a transvestite.
According to the NY Post, D’Angelo was driving alone in his Range Rover at Greenwich and Horatio streets at about 2:30 a.m., when he spotted a woman he mistook for a hooker.
After insulting the policewoman by offering her a measly $40 for a BJ, she, along with other undercover cops, slapped the cuffs on the singer. It wasn’t like he was broke. After a search of his vehicle, police recovered $12,000 in cash.
D’Angelo has been in trouble before, as early as 2002 for offenses ranging from DUI and other traffic offenses to minor drug charges. D’Angelo was arraigned in Manhattan Criminal Court early Sunday and released on bond.
Interestingly enough, D’Angelo’s publicist is Tresa Sanders who also reps R&B singer Keyshia Cole. As you know, Cole gave birth to her and NBA player Daniel Gibson’s first child last week. Sanders recently told me that D’Angelo’s comeback album was a banger. We can’t wait to hear it!
