ESPN’s Skip Bayless: Jay Z is Not The Greatest

Yesterday, a Drake single titled “Over” was released to the masses and the Internets went bonkers. Curious, I clicked on a link on Miss Info‘s great blog after she described the track as “KILLER”. I could not believe my ears! The track was absolute garbage! I was completely dumbfounded. Is it just me who thinks these rappers today are horrible compared to real rappers of the 70s and 80s?

It seems I am not the only one who isn’t caught up in the hype during what is obviously the last days of Hip Hop. It must be a black thing to think Jay z is g.o.a.t.

Earlier today, Skip Bayless of ESPN’s 1st and 10, and DC rapper Wale argued whether Jay-Z was the greatest rapper of all time. Skip disagreed and said that Hov lacked stage presence and a good voice. Even Jay Hova admitted himself in previous interviews that his voice was weak. So why do we continue to uplift these wack rappers like Jay Z and Drake?

Slick Pulla’s Camp Goes Into Damage Control

Rapper Slick Pulla (pictured above, left, with Young Jeezy) was involved in an altercation with local rapper Waka Flocka Flame at a popular Atlanta clothing store yesterday afternoon. Pulla is affiliated with Young Jeezy’s camp and Flocka is affiliated with rapper Gucci Mane. Both Jeezy and Gucci are involved in an ongoing dispute that dates back to 2005.

According to an employee, Flocka, who arrived at Walter’s Clothing store around 4 p.m. Thursday with his bodyguard, was shopping for sneakers when Slick Pulla and his boys from Young Jeezy’s CTE Record label walked in.

The two men exchanged words and a brawl ensued between both camps. The fight, which sent employees and merchandise scattering, ended when gunfire erupted inside the store. Flocka, who was allegedly beaten by Slick Pulla and others, walked away with a black eye.

After Pulla and his boys fled the store, police arrived to find Flocka and his bodyguard still shopping for shoes. The bodyguard was detained by police for discharging his weapon in the store.

By 5 p.m., Slick Pulla’s camp were in full damage control mode, calling around to the media and blogs claiming Slick Pulla wasn’t even in the store yesterday. A local photographer, who wrote a summary of the incident implicating Pulla in the fight on his blog yesterday, changed his tune after being contacted by Pulla’s camp.

Shook, Freddy O took to his Twitter last night claiming Slick Pulla was in a halfway house — and not in the store — as he had written. But an employee of Walter’s who was in the store at the time of the fight, confirmed to Sandrarose.com that Slick Pulla was indeed involved in the fight.

This could be bad news for Pulla who was recently released from prison to a halfway house in Atlanta (not the same one where rapper T.I. is housed). Like T.I., Pulla is allowed to leave the halfway house on a work release program daily, but the rules call for him to go to work and then head straight back to the halfway house.

Celebs Out & About

Two well-known closeted bisexuals got together yesterday on the set of Fuse TV. Host, Toure interviewed singer Trey Songz (who earned his ‘Z’ back because he is no longer a one-hit wonder). I have no clue what they talked about. But the big buzz online is the “slave rape” tweets made by Toure under the guise of his cousin on Twitter earlier this week.

It’s been known for a while that Toure is a bit unstable, but his instability became a lot more obvious when he began retweeting racist tweets from a user he claimed was his cousin.

In one tweet, Toure, under the guise of his cousin, wrote:

“i’m not toure, but i am starting to worry about his mental health to the point i don’t wanna pile on. “weird place”?”

The tweets, mostly about slavemaster rape on plantations in the deep South, would have gone unnoticed were it not for Toure retweeting them to his 14,000 followers, some of whom were so upset that they asked him to stop reposting the tweets.

Toure later admitted he made up the tweets himself, but then he deleted his own bizarre confession. It’s obvious that the writing styles of both Twitter accounts are the same.

Luckily, What About Our Daughters blog founder, Gina, was online at the time and got a screen grab of Toure’s lunacy.

If you check Toure’s Twitter @Tourex, you will see where he deleted all his tweets, including the one where he wrote, “pretty sneaky, sis. I wrote that stuff.” Interestingly, he (and his supposed cousin) haven’t been back online since Mar. 1, which is strange for such a prolific Tweeter. It can only be assumed that Toure’s employers, MSNBC and Fuse, “got at him” for his slavemaster rape rants.

As I’ve said before, Twitter is not the place for people with poor impulse control because once you put it out there, you can’t take it back.

RadarOnline Claims Fake Slap Shows ‘Violence’ in Jackson Home

Yesterday, RadarOnline, which is owned by the same company that owns the National Enquirer, posted this ‘Exclusive’ video to boost their claim of violence in Katherine Jackson’s household.

Katherine Jackson is the mother of the late pop icon Michael Jackson. She was granted custody of Michael’s 3 children after he died unexpectedly of a cardiac arrest last year.

5 other Jackson brothers spawn live in the home with as many as 6 adults. The California Department of Children and Family Services is currently investigating the home environment after an incident at the home involving a stun gun purchased by Jermaine Jackson’s 13-year-old son, Jaafar, online.

The video shows Jaafar fake slapping his young brother, Jermajesty. Nancy Grace replayed this video repeatedly on her show last night.

It should be obvious from the video that Jermajesty knows the slap is coming since he raises his hand near his face. Jaafar then slaps Jermajesty’s hand and shouts an expletive. Anyone raising boys recognizes play slapping when they see it. But RadarOnline went as far as to seek the opinion of a clinical psychiatrist who claims the video is evidence of violence inside the Jackson home.

Done anyone in mainstream journalism use their brains anymore?

Slick Pulla and Waka Flocka Involved in Shootout Downtown

CTE rapper Slick Pulla is in hot water tonight after an altercation at a downtown shoe store erupted in gunfire. Sources say Slick Pulla was recently released from prison to an Atlanta halfway house last month. The rapper is allowed to leave the halfway house on work release. But it isn’t clear if Pulla works at Walters shoe store where the shooting took place earlier this afternoon.

According to celebrity photography Freddy O:

Story has it that Waka Flocka and Slick Pulla have been beefing since an altercation that happened in Miami a few months ago. Slick Pulla wanted to get it popping and that’s what he tried to do. After a tussle and fight throughout the entire Walter’s store, with customers, gunfire rang out. In the end Slick Pulla left the store while Waka was left with a bloody nose and eye.

Pulla was arrested and sent to prison on a parole violation in 2007. He was released to the halfway house in Atlanta last month (not the same one that T.I. is presently residing in). Pulla could possibly be sent back to prison if he was in fact involved in the shoot out in the shoe store today.
